  1. Guess you missed the whole "covering up for murder" thing. Your post would be dead on if you stopped at "don't give up." On the field - yes, great player, gives 110%, leader. A role model and an a"outstanding community guy?" No fugging way. Bingo.
  2. And this was a random customer, correct? Because I'd stop shopping at a store if an old lady was letting the old fried-eggs-on-a-nail swing freely while working....
  3. Wait - are you saying you're not shopping at Wegman's anymore because some random old lady was letting the knee-knockers fly free? Or was this an employee? Or do you mean you just left this trip because she upset your delicate senses?
  4. I absolutely LOVE his pre-game seizure dance. There's got to be a medication that can help him get through the starting lineups without convulsing so violently...
  5. I heard the Crypt Keeper report that it was a similar situation with Peters' cell-hone deal. Apparently he didn't like the current contract he signed last year, and thought that a customer of his stature deserved unlimited talk and text, so Parker was withholding payment while trying to negotiate a better deal, but Verizon shut his phone off until his honored the original contract he signed. At least you're honest.
  6. I tried Googling it but came up empty. To be fair I only looked for a couple minutes...
  7. I wouldn't even reach an injury settlement with him, at the risk that he sign with Miami, the Jests or the P*ts and tries to hurt us twice a year. I don't know if it's possible (due to the IR) but I'd try to trade him out west - let him enjoy playing for the Raiders or 49ers.
  8. Exactly. I never said that Crowell should be playing or not. I just said that considering how badly shredded Merriman's knee is and how he was doing everything he could to play, and that with a vague knee condition Crowell seems to essentially be trying to get off the field, the Crowell situation does seem weird. I really thought that capitalizing the part I agreed with -- again, simply that SOMETHING IS WEIRD with the Crowell situation -- would have been plain enough. Guess I should have written it in crayon.
  9. I was thinking the same thing - even if he figured that he wasn't going to be in the Bills' plans for next year, you'd think he would want to come in and have a monster contract year. I hadn't considered the possibility that he had already gotten a bad medical report from the docs and didn't know the best way to proceed. You'd also think that his agent would be trying to give him some good advice, but I wouldn't think that "get surgery 3 days before the opener" would be on his list of recommendations.
  10. Hmmm....I read it, agreed with it, and re-wrote it in my post. Yep, I seem to remember it. Your condescending, smartass comments in the second paragraph aside, you seem to have a couple serious flaws in either your logic or reading comprehension, so I'll try again. "nobody knows the extent of the injuries of both players." Wrong. We know full well the extent of Merriman's injuries. Two torn ligaments and needs a knee reconstruction. Could be facing a career-threatening injury if he plays at all this year. LINK LINK 2 I will grant that Crowell's injury is a little more ambiguous. It's been reported as a "chronic condition" but nothing concrete has been established. I'd bet it's not as serious as Merriman's shredded knee, though. Bottom line - One linebacker (Merriman) has a very serious knee injury and is doing everything he can to be on the field this Sunday and for as much of the season as possible. Our linebacker has been dealing with a "chronic knee condition" for the last two training camps, but waits until 3 days before the season opener to surprise his coach with news of a surgery. HERE'S THE GOOD POINT: one guy, dealing with an apparently much worse knee problem, is trying to be on the field, while our guy needs a scope but waits till three days before the opener to inform the head coach. SOMETHING SEEMS WEIRD ABOUT THAT.
  11. Yes, it is a good point. I'll spell it out for you: Merriman made the decision to play on a shredded knee and is postponing surgery until after the season. Crowell surprised his coaching staff by waiting until 3 days before the start of the season to have his knee scoped. The good point, as it were, was that - as other posters have pointed out - there seems to be something weird about this Crowell situation. But thanks for weighing in.
  12. You could pin this at the top of the board and people would still come on here telling everyone how the Bills screwed that up because Poz could have been back for (pick one) 4,6, or more games at the end of the year.
  13. Wow. What a completely uncalled for, out of context, ridiculous comment.
  14. You're thinking of the Canadian chick that Marshawn ran down.
  15. A defensive back, duh. At least that's what a handful of posters keep saying, so it must be true.
  16. Ask your GF...
  17. Jauron said the decision to have surgery came out of the blue. I take that as "we weren't considering him having surgery, or at least having it two days before the season opener."
  18. Who was the last Bills player who sat out the minicamps, OTA's, and entire preseason while having three years left on his contract AND all indications pointing to him not ending the holdout until a significant portion of the season has passed?
  19. I don't think his lack of PT this preseason was due to the coaches holding starters out or limiting their PT. IIRC he had problems with the knee all preseason and that caused him to miss time.
  20. Sarcasm detector on the fritz again, huh?
  21. I think this borders on a fine-able offense. Then again, if Peters continues his holdout into the season I want the Bills to go after everything they've given him - I even want his dog.
  22. Seriously, though - how much did he play and/or participate in the preseason? He (and the training staff/doctors) didn't know a couple weeks ago that this wasn't going to get much better and he was going to eventually need this scoped?
  23. Shouldn't this have been considered and done early in the preseason?
