  1. Interesting quote from Jerry Jones: "That particular official gets a lot of criticism. He's a highly criticized official in the NFL," Jones said. I've never really had a problem with his officiating until this, and always thought he was a pretty good ref. I wonder if there's any truth or if this is Jones being a blowhard.
  2. Peerless Price is still out there...
  3. No, it wasn't a "football hit." It was a head-to-head shot on a QB. Referees don't judge intent to injure when protecting the QB. Good post. Fair enough.
  4. You want to see bad clock and scoreboard management, see the Browns and Romeo Crennel. They have made every possible bad decision this year, and it isn't a new problem for the Brownies.
  5. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. But at the very least Jax should have gotten hit with a 15-yarder from the spot of the foul, no doubt in my mind.
  6. The question is, does it count as roughing the passer? Because I think roughing the passer penalties can overturn a interception (I know it has in the past) and if this penalty was treated the same way, the ball would have returned to Buffalo. Again, I don't know the rule and all its intricacies, so I could be wrong.
  7. I don't think he is -- I said the same thing when CBS showed the first replay after the fumble. When Trent turns his head to look at the fumble, the other Jag comes in high and hits Trent helmet-to-helmet. I don't know whether that's not called because of the fumble or what. BTW, to the OP- the term is "unabated" and I think that is usually only called when someone jumps offsides and has a clear run at the QB and he's defenseless.
  8. That Al Davis is a smart, smart man.
  9. Chances are? More like a damn near certainty...
  10. Good call on Monica Bellucci. Pam was fine until she started messing around with plastic surgery, period. She's had her boobs done about a half-dozen times, the lips done with collagen, and I think a nose job as well. Awful.
  11. Bingo. Watched him quite a bit in college and never saw him really air it out - it was all dink-and-dunk stuff. He was accurate as hell, but didn't have much on his longer throws.
  12. Only if you are trying to get here in January and are not trying to get to RayJay stadium in Tampa on February 1st.
  13. Forgot the Youboty stop on Garrard.
  14. I think I see that now. Another shining example of "lies, damned lies, and statistics."
  15. Maybe I'm being dense, but I don't follow - how did our running game produce 167 yards?
  16. It was a very gutsy call at that point in the game, and he caught the league's best special teams unit napping. I'm no fan of Del Rio but that onside kick was a great call, IMO.
  17. You're right, it's much better to insult someone who expresses an opinion based off what they've seen on the field.
  18. After the last five years of P*ts ball-washing I can't believe anyone needs to ask this question. I want to see the Jests win today and help push the P*ts fall into the basement, let the media keep hyping Fav-rah and the Jests, and then beat them both twice to erase all doubt.
  19. All excellent points. Clueless is a bit harsh, especially coming after he admitted that it was just his opinion.
  20. So Max has a second screen name. Good for him.
  21. I also nominate an honorary game ball for Jack Del Rio - thanks for choosing the dark jerseys today, Jack. Heck, why not go all the way and wear your black alternate unis? I hate the white jerseys, but if the guys were even one degree cooler in the road whites than they would have been in the darks, then they are OK by me.
  22. I was just about to point out the same thing.
  23. The old "using a sledgehammer to kill a fly" analogy comes to mind...
  24. We don't know if he is a game-breaking CB at the NFL level yet. IF he gets to that point then we have some tough decisions to make, but right now the argument is moot because McKelvin isn't ready to be on the field regularly.
