  1. For a quick search of one term, / is not too bad. But I like the versatility Firefox's Crtl+ F search gives - the highlighting, next, previous and Match Case options make things much easier in my searches.
  2. I just watched the replay on NFL.com, and while it's not an extra closeup or anything, the ball looks secure and under control the whole way. I don't see a bobble that would make it an issue.
  3. Bad coaching, WR corps has been decimated by injuries, Anderson has struggled, and the defense got bigger and slower, and a very green secondary. It's really no surprise they haven't played well.
  4. I just skimmed the thread, so I don't know if someone else has mentioned it. But I'd like to Nancy Kerrigan the ad execs who thought this was a good idea.
  5. Sorry if this has already been posted, but it seems the Boston Globe's writers are picking up on Randy's dissatisfaction with Cassel's play thus far: FOXBOROUGH - Randy Moss said all the right things after catching just four passes for 25 yards in the Patriots' 38-13 loss to the Miami Dolphins yesterday, but his body language seemed to tell a different story. Moss sat in solitude on the bench for most of the first half as the offense struggled. The wide receiver has yet to establish the same passing rapport with quarterback Matt Cassel he had with Tom Brady, and it hasn't helped that teams consistently have rolled a safety in Moss's direction, challenging Cassel to get him the ball. 6. What, you mean stuff like being a 5-time Pro Bowler, 4-time All-Pro, 2006 AP and PFWA league MVP, more career rushing TD's than Sweetness, over 10,000 rushing yards for his career, and five NFL records, including the single-season record holder for TD's and rushing TD's? That's crazy talk. It's all about these last three games.
  7. And sliding right back down. LINK
  8. Nope, you're not alone on that one.
  9. Absolutely. If you're even a casual Black Hawks fan, what's not to like about them right now? Good young players on offense and defense, signed Huet and Campbell, and the home games are back on local TV.
  10. He's got a long way to go to repair the Wirtz name among Black Hawk fans, but apparently Rocky has more sense than his old man did. He's spending money on the team and put the games back on TV.
  11. He said he sees Jason Peters all the time, not Eric Moulds.
  12. It was. Kelsay had a pretty good game yesterday. I'd love to see that if anyone finds a link.
  13. So was Mack's hit on Matt Ryan, and that drew a one-game suspension.
  14. The Hawks games being on TV has more to do with the passing of Wirtz than anything else. If the old man were still alive they'd still be blacking out local coverage. The Hawks season should be sold out. They've got two of the best young skaters in the league, they spent some money to upgrade the goaltending, they've got some good young defensemen, and missed the playoffs last year by three points. They've got a lot to look forward to. And again, not to be blunt, but Wirtz is no longer controlling the team and pissing off the fans.
  15. Yes, but don't discount the fact that the unnamed d-lineman with a history of cheap shots plays for the league's darlings and the owner who pushed for Goodell to get the commish job. That probably better explains the unnamed d-lineman's lack of punishment than serves as a barometer by which to determine punishment for non-P*ts players.
  16. I think Mack's suspension had more to do with the fact that it was his second offense in three weeks, and both were hits on QB's. He was fined $5,000 for an unnecessary roughness penalty after hitting the Houston QB in the Bucs' final preseason game and then went helmet-to-helmet with Matt Ryan in Week 2. Hopefully this being Whitner's first offense and against a non-QB will result in just a fine, one I'm sure his teammates will happily kick in to cover.
  17. /dev/null for the win. The thread should have been closed after this post.
  18. ^^ What he said. I don't want to see this team get ahead of themselves. Rolling out that overworked cliche - they really do need to take it one game at a time, focus on their next opponent and play 60 minutes of good football. They came out today looking like they were looking past the Raiders, or maybe were reading their own press clippings and believing they were that damn good. Win one game at a time and at the end of the year they'll be sitting at 11-5, 12-4, whatever, and be right in the middle of the division title hunt and the playoff race.
  19. Dumb off passes? Is that what we renamed the Kelly Holcomb checkdown specials? Seriously, though - I agree. I lost my cool when he fired that fastball to Schouman who was about three yards away in the flat. It was at least the second or third time he did that today and has been doing it all three games thus far. But you're right about it being a minor adjustment. He's got pretty good touch on his short passes, so I'm sure it's just a matter of slowing things down a little.
  20. What was wrong with the call? The guy made contact with the receiver while the ball was in the air.
  21. First - Dawan Landry left the Browns-Ravens game on a stretcher and backboard after taking a knee to the head. Announcers said he did not lose consciousness and had movement in all his extremities. It was surreal to see another player being strapped on to the backboard and carted off the field. Glad to hear it wasn't an Everett situation. Derek Anderson and the Browns continue to look like frauds. The Ravens and McBabyMomma are taking the Brownies to the woodshed right now. The clock is ticking on the Derek Anderson era - might be time to have Brady Quinn start warming up. I also wouldn't be buying any propoerty in Northeast Ohio if I were Romeo Crennel... Brian Griese was 38-67 for 407, 2 TD's and 3 picks in Tampa's win over Chicago. 67 passing attempts versus 17 rushes. What a balanced attack from Chuckie's Bucs. Hope Griese gets a day off to ice the shoulder. Fred Taylor had a fantastic 34-yard run against Indy, reversing field and breaking a couple tackles on to set up Jones-Drew's go-ahead TD. Feel free to add highlights from any games you've watched today...
  22. Was there any update on Ellison's injury? I don't recall seeing him after that, but that really doesn't mean much.
  23. A lot of cases of "I-told-you-so-itis" round these parts the last few weeks... We don't celebrate big wins anymore, we just have to find the person who disagreed with us and rub their face in it.
  24. Good post. I still like JP but the more I see of Trent the more I am liking what I see. I wasn't in the "OMG Trent is AWESOME" camp some set up last year, but he is winning me over. I'm just not sure why some can't just celebrate Trent's play today without throwing the other guy, who didn't play a single down, under the bus. Trent is showing great signs of coming of age and turning into a great QB. JP has been a good teammate, knows the system and is ready to play if Trent gets hurt. What more can you ask of the backup?
  25. We snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. Wasn't pretty, but it still goes down as a "W" and should serve as a great learning and humbling experience for this team.
