  1. Hmmm...give the ball to your franchise RB who was at 21-127 for the game, or put the game in the hands of your fumble-prone, refuses-to-give-up-on-a-play backup QB. What to do, what to do....
  2. What's that old saying? There's three things that can happen when you throw the ball, and two of them are bad? In teh Bills' case you can modify that to read "there are four things can happen when drop back to pass, and three of them are bad." I admire your dedication to defending Jauron and Turk, but you're trying to skate uphill on this one. It was a bad call. Even Jauron admitted that they shouldn't have put JP in that position: Jauron refused to blame Losman, making his second straight start for the injured Trent Edwards. "It's on my shoulders to protect him, to keep him from that situation," Jauron said, "and I didn't do it."
  3. Yep. There is a time to get creative and a time to be conservative, and when it comes time to make that choice, Dick's teams usually pick wrong.
  4. Anyone else hear anything on this was it just rumor/BS?
  5. What is it - 1-7 since the phantom extension was announced?
  6. Sorry, it was more of a rhetorical question, but I agree. I have no idea how they will market the Bills for next year if DJ is still standing like a statue on the Bills' sideline next year.
  7. Don't know why I said 7-9. Guess I thought we were already at 7 wins. So to flip this around on the thread starter - if the Bills finish at 6-10 with an easier schedule and fewer key injuries than last year, what then? Do we call this year an abject failure?
  8. Probably a moot point now. It looks like another 7-9 season.
  9. I hear ya. I live just outside Cleveland, so I can watch crappy football on Sundays for free.
  10. I had to look that up. There's an image I'll never get out of my head.
  11. Wow. Trent finally had it, huh? Must have slapped Turk with one of his gloves and challenged him to a duel.
  12. True. They've had some success on toss sweeps this year - it would seem that it might be a good time for that, or one of those fake-hand-off-quick-pitch plays. Or just something off tackle. Any running play would have been better than what they called. Heck, look at the unbalanced line the Jets rolled out and had Favre run the bootleg off on the first series. That would have been more than creative enough for me.
  13. It was like watching a car accident in slow motion. You knew what was going to happen, but couldn't believe it and couldn't look away.
  14. I see your point, but there is a time to be creative and aggressive and a time to be conservative and play ball-control offense. This was one of those times - pound the rock and take your chances with your franchise back, rather than trust your soon-to-be former backup QB.
  15. I don't think it has anything to do with trust. You have a player who is, by the most optimistic standard, a career backup and who has problems with a) trying to do to much, so he holds on to the ball too long and b) has issues with fumbles. Most coaches know their players' limitations and plan around them. That's what Dick and Turk needed to do here.
  16. Yep, nothing of value.
  17. He absolutely has to know that he has to get rid of it or just go down and take the sack. The important thing is keeping the ball and keeping the clock running. But it's still a sh------- playcall. 2nd and 5, running the ball well - you keep doing that.
  18. LOL You really are !@#$ing clueless, aren't you? No one takes anything you say seriously. You know sh-- about absolutely nothing. You're a complete and utter joke.
  19. OK, I must be a Pats fan. Wow, you really are the witty one, aren't you. Maybe I should try it. You should get super aids and die fast. Or drive a nail through your hand. Either way you're still just a !@#$ing idiot.
  20. Thank you. The coaching staff's job is to put their players in the best possible position to succeed. This staff has proved, time and time again, that they cannot do that consistently. If it comes out that JP audibled to that play, then I will adjust my venom accordingly. But there is no need to run that play in any event.
  21. Ballgame. The late turnovers were killers. Dick and Turk should be fired before the plane leaves the tarmac.
  22. I hate Dick Jauron and Turk. I hate them with a passion.
