True, and we have to wait a week to see if this bumps Jauron's total number of wins over teams with winning records to....3. I'd love to see it, but Jauron's teams haven't played well against the P*ts, and NE will be playing for the division next week. -
Very impressed that you didn't say "route" or "rout" for the Bills to win.

Yep. Sadly all this does is add another notch the Dickie J's "7-9" belt... -

Sports teams should never wear orange as one of their primary colors. -
So Ralph has an entire PR department at his beck and call as well as reporters always interested in talking to him, and instead he chooses to write a one-paragraph "comeback" to Sully's use of the word doddering? Weird.

Caylee Anthony Case - Anyone Else Following This?

Not from the "Hottest Body" competition, but here's a couple: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/features/ye...120080609160951 (note the Florida Gators stuff in the background. ) http://www.orlandosentinel.com/features/ye...120080609160951 -

Casey's attorney: "You really do not know half of this story. You don't," Baez said. "And you will find out in court." http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/...0,3173549.story Oooh, now I can't wait until the trial. -
Peppers never played for Philly. You're probably thinking of Jevon Kearse.

They've had Ngata cover RB's out of the backfield? I've never seen a DT cover a RB 1-on-1. I've seen them drop back into a short zone, but not covering someone 1-on-1. Either way, Baltimore also has a lot more talent rushing the passer than we do.

Anyone want to go to Sabres - Kings game tonight?
Bmwolf21 replied to Taro T's topic in Off the Wall Archives
The Sabres have pretty good depth at defenseman, plus the cap limits who they can bring up and when. In addition defensemen tend to take longer to develop than forwards or goalies, and Butler was just 27 games into his pro career at the time of his recall. Paetsch has struggled this year, but +/- is not the best indicator of that. Four of the Sabres top-6 defensemen have negative +/- ratings - Spacek (-3) Teppo (-6) Rivet (-6) and Sekera (-8). FWIW I think that Teppo and Tallinder have been the most inconsistent Sabres' defenders this year, and Tallinder leads the Sabres' blueliners with a whopping +3 (and is one of only two with a positive +/- rating). -

Because Paetsch is what Butler is not - a usually solid, unspectacular 7th defenseman. He has struggled lately, but for the most part he does a pretty good job in his role. Butler, OTOH, is a top-6 guy, so if he's not going to crack the top-6 in Buffalo then he needs to be in Portland playing regularly. -

Here's the Sentinel's story on the meter reader's PC: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/...0,5864010.story Attorney David Evans stressed that Kronk does not know the Anthony family and has no other connection to the case. "He is here as a concerned citizen. Nothing more," Evans said. "Those who have speculated to the contrary are completely wrong." Kronk would not take questions. County spokesman Steve Triggs said Kronk was hired May 27. He worked occasionally in the east Orange County neighborhood where he found the remains but had no regular route, Triggs said. Kronk knew the wooded area because it was a shady place to park during hot weather. Kronk was last in the neighborhood in November, he told Triggs, but did not check the woods because he was busy. -
Don't worry, we'd sign him and then have him drop back into coverage or try to cover a RB coming out of the backfield...

Caylee Anthony Case - Anyone Else Following This?

I really don't find anything strange about him making several calls to the police back in August and then being back in the area a few months later. After all, he is a meter reader - I would assume he probably has some sort of regular route he covers. And from what I can tell there was no initial search in that area, due to flooding. Here's the Orlando Sentinel story, which details the meter reader's tips a little better: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/orl-bk-cayl...,0,397634.story -
Caylee Anthony Case - Anyone Else Following This?

It's official - the remains are those of Caylee Anthony: It's Caylee Marie. The five-month mystery ended today when authorities confirmed that skeletal remains discovered in woods last week belong to the missing two-year-old girl. Sheriff's officials delivered the news at a 2 p.m. press conference in Orlando. Word came after the FBI forensic lab in Virginia matched Caylee's DNA with bones found a quarter-mile from her grandparents' home. Medical Examiner Dr. Jan Garavaglia said, "With regret, I am here to inform you that the skeletal remains found on Dec. 11 are those of the missing toddler Caylee Anthony." Around 1:45 p.m. today, Caylee's mother, Casey Anthony, was notified in jail, where she is awaiting trial on a murder charge stemming from the child's disappearance this summer. Her reaction to the announcement is not known. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/...0,1253040.story So sad. -

Who is asking that? That screeching she-devil on CNN? From the CNN article you linked: Nieves said police were getting more information from the tipster and the deputy who responded to the tips. He said the department was investigating the "thoroughness" of the deputy's response but would not identify the deputy. The meter reader "is not a suspect," Nieves said. "He is a credible witness." Nieves' latest announcement is raising questions about whether police missed several chances to find remains believed to be Caylee's. The meter reader is not the only one, or the first, to have pointed police toward the site containing the remains. KioMarie Cruz, Casey Anthony's childhood friend, also told police to investigate the same wooded area near Hidden Oaks Elementary School a month before the meter reader, according to CNN affiliate WFTV. -
Seriously, how many screen names does Jauron have on TSW? Maybe he should spend less time posting here and defending himself and spend more time getting Trent ready for the next game. It was obviously JP.

So all we have to do is draft a HoF QB and Dick should be all set.
-
Bingo.
-
I understand, and I agree that it's very likely that Ralph would cheap out again and hire an unknown or retread and hope he catches lightning in a bottle. As I said in another thread - I just don't like the idea of keeping a bad coach because we think that we'll hire another bad coach.
-
Why is keeping a bad coach on longer than three years somehow better than realizing that Dick isn't the guy and trying to find a better coach?
