  1. So you decided to register for a Bills message board back in May, and waited until today to post a bad joke and a scold a bunch of Bills fans on a Bills message board for worrying about who the Bills next coach will be because "there are more important things to be concerned with in life?" More important things to worry about = no sh--, sherlock. Newsflash - for a lot of us, our beloved sports teams are a distraction from the real world - coming on here and debating the pros and cons of hiring Marty S over Spagnulo helps keep my mind off the nation's financial meltdown, the possibility of being laid off after the New Year, or wondering if we'll make the rent next month. But thanks for reminding Bills fans on a Bills message board about having some perspective.
  2. But, but but....Jauron's players play hard for him! The effort is always there! Yet another on the dwindling list of Jauron's coaching positives/reasons to keep Dickie J goes by the wayside... Yeah that was a pretty stupid comment. I like Whitner and think he could be a very good player, but that was a real dumbass thing to say.
  3. And Ralphie drives a Taurus...makes you wonder...
  4. Ummm, no - Cullen Harper is not black. Not that it has any bearing on the discussion at all.
  5. Bingo. Carroll is in a great situation out there. Unless the NCAA is going to come down hard on USC for the Reggie Bush scandal I don't see why Pete would want to leave Southern California.
  6. I was thinking more the "little person" children's author from Elf: Hey, jackweed, I get more action in a week than you've had in your entire life. I've got houses in L.A., Paris and Vail. In each one, a 70 inch plasma screen. So I suggest you wipe that stupid smile off your face before I come over there and SMACK it off! You feeling strong, my friend? Call me elf one more time.
  7. I saw Urban Meyer's name in one of the PD articles this morning. Just shaking my head.
  8. From the Plain Dealer: PITTSBURGH -- The Phil Savage era as Browns general manager is over. Shortly after the Browns completed a 4-12 season with a 31-0 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Browns confirmed Sunday that Savage was fired. Owner Randy Lerner made the decision before the game. A source said the decision was based on problems with Savage's communication and leadership skills. Lerner is hoping to recruit former Pittsburgh Steelers coach Bill Cowher or New England vice president Scott Pioli to head his revamped football operation. By virture of New England's elimination from the playoffs despite an 11-5 record, Pioli is available to be interviewed immediately. http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/...ial_gm_phi.html Sounds like the Browns are at least being proactive and not tap-dancing around with this "is he coming back, is he fired" game that Ralph and co. are playing...
  9. Slight correction.
  10. I'd have to agree. Free agency should be the Great Equalizer, and the Bills already have some talent in a lot of areas. This team isn't like the Dolphins of last year or this year's Lions - there are holes in the lineup, but the team is not that far off in terms of player talent. Bring in a good HC who is a strong talent evaluator, make a couple good draft picks and a couple key FA signings and there is no reason why they can't add 3-4 wins next year. Then all you need is a HC and staff that can get the !@#$ out of their own way on gameday, and we're all set. EDIT: The Dean beat me to it.
  11. All I'm saying is that after watching the interviews with him, I came away with the impression that the ex-fiancé seems very genuine and was not whipping up crocodile tears for the cameras, like the supposed mother of that little girl. After all the evidence and everything comes out, all the prosecution will need to do is bring in one big dry-erase board with all of the Anthony's "theories" and "suspects" and ask the jury one question - why should we believe anyone in her family when the only consistent thing about their story has been their inconsistency? They have constantly changed their story and "clarified" what they meant, backtracked, deflected blame, etc. In theory no one should fall for this family's BS, but having lived in Orange County for three years I know there are just as many stupid people there as you'd find anywhere, and all it takes is one moron to buy the Anthonys' story.
  12. Saw him on the Today Show this morning. If they are going to try to pin this on him they better have a helluva good story, because that guy looks absolutely devastated that Caylee is dead. Not only that, the prosecution is planning on calling him to testify about Casey's inability to tell the truth, and he has been cooperating with investigators all along.
  13. I'll take "Steely Dan's TSW Posts" for $200, Alex.
  14. Considering the source I feel pretty good about my position.
  15. Be pissed all you want, it's still a legit call. Not a call you see a lot, but IIRC we got called for it earlier this year or late last season. I'm much more pissed about the missed facemask calls than I am the refs throwing a flag on a justifiable penalty.
  16. Only 2 catches for 19 yards today? That's a little troubling...definitely need to see him get the ball more often.
  17. WTF are you screaming about, idiot?
  18. It was a legit call. Stroud was stunting and tried to pull the guard with him to open up the hole for the guy coming around him. The flag stings more, though, since the refs missed at least one (and maybe two) facemasks by the Broncs....
  19. I like both the Cards WRs, but as a Nole alum I lean toward Boldin. But yeah, either guy would be a huge help.
  20. EDIT: Never mind. I see you edited your post already.
  21. Yep. Should be clear that a sustained pass rush is the most glaring need - someone needs to be put pressure on the QB much, much more often than we do now...
  22. I don't know about early, but later in the game he definitely had one on his left/non-throwing hand.
