  1. Looks like Laura Vandervoort from Smallville.
  2. He's not all bad, though - he's worn UB apparel on the King of Queens several times. So he's got that going for him.
  3. Ouch. That's gonna hurt your credibility. But I feel your pain - had an Intrepid when we lived in Florida. That car was in the shop more than it was on the road.
  4. I don't know if this information is reliable. What kind of car do you drive?
  5. He also produced, wrote and acted for "The King of Queens" and "Til Death" and has appeared in a bunch of sitcoms and shows like Seinfeld and That 70s Show.
  6. Can't make chicken salad out of chicken sh--, no matter how good the chef.
  7. Pretty much all the guys who were in the conversation at the end of the season - Marinelli, Edwards, Crennell - have all been fired. Yet somehow Teflon Dick just keeps hangin' on...
  8. I know. There wasn't one assistant coach or one parent who thought it might be time to back off?
  9. From the first article: There are about 20 girls in the high school. Some on the eight-girl team had never played before and will never play again. "Most of these girls would never play on any other school in the state," he said. "But they can say they were high school varsity players here. And they can say it with a sense of achievement." I don't have a problem with the team playing its reserves and back off into a soft zone after the half, but the AP story said they were still running a full-court press and tossing up threes in the 4th Q until they hit 100.
  10. Honestly, I'm not sure: The situation is all over the place - the line coach supposedly has a job offer from a college team but the Browns won't release him. DC Tucker interviewed for the Browns' HC position (Rooney Rule?) but when he was not selected the Browns opted not to allow him to interview elsewher - even though they have already hired his replacement. The team relented when his agent complained to the NFL. The outgoing OC (Chudzinski) is still under contract even though the team has - again - already hired his replacement. Here's what the end of the story said:
  11. Randy Lerner and the Brownies are the latest team to cut FO employees: The Browns have laid off 18 people in the last two days, including Director of Media Information Ken Mather, clevelandbrowns.com staff writer Steve King and Director of Team Operations Brendan Rowe, a source close to the situation told The Plain Dealer. http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/...nowledge_s.html There's also some grumbling that the team might be playing games with the previous coaching staff's futures by not releasing them to find other work: http://www.ohio.com/sports/browns/38036039.html
  12. Dean, good stuff, thanks. There's some stuff that I'm going to do to clean up my system, based on what you posted. Just to add to the stuff about the Foxit/Adobe Reader stuff - if you need to create basic PDFs there are a few freeware PDF creation utilities out there. I use the basic version of CutePDF Writer, which works pretty well for me. There are also a few where you can upload to a website and get the PDF emailed to you, but I try to avoid those whenever possible.
  13. Someone refresh my memory - did anyone really consider Mularkey and Greggggggggg-o "hot coordinators" that everyone was interested in?
  14. I'll admit to any and or all of these, although a couple are (as has already been established) not chick flicks.
  15. No idea about the Java updates, but I am guessing that "adobe reader" means the PDF software. If so that isn't the same as Java. But again, if it is the adobe reader, you could dump it for Foxit PDF reader, which is free and from what I remember, a much smaller file size than Adobe.
  16. What he said. Myron would be a nice fit at free safety.
  17. What's wrong with Jacksonville's stadium (other than them having to tarp off the seats?) Been there a couple times and I liked it, nothing bad to say about it- other than it being ungodly hot every time.
  18. Kelly - maybe this guy can help. Seriously, though - check out The Consumerist's Dell page - a lot of horror stories about misdirected shipments, missing laptops, etc. There is also this link to reach the Dell Consumer Advocates and this one that shows the email addresses for several of the higher-ups. Good luck.
  19. I was thinking the same thing (esp. about the NFL players) - but if what the tech who was interviewed says is true - that it depends on the placement and how the person is built - then I could understand a little better.
  20. Sounds like it's just a "tough luck" case for this woman: Medical Imaging in Kansas City North, which has both closed and open MRI machines can typically hold up to 440 pounds, but sometimes a person who weighs less can still be out of luck, according to an MRI technician. “It depends on how they are built a lot of times and what part of their body we’re scanning,” said technician Sarah Abbott of Medical Imaging. “(The machine) can only be so open before the magnetic field dissipates into the room.”
  21. Police have arrested a Greenfield man for allegedly arranging to sell his 14-year-old daughter into marriage in exchange for $16,000, 100 cases of beer and several cases of meat. Police said they only learned of the deal after the 36-year-old man went to them to get his daughter back because payment wasn't made as promised. The man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of human trafficking. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28629054/
  22. Not saying Nicholson didn't do a good job, just that I thought Ledger's was head and shoulders better. I never got the "psychopath" feel from Nicholson's Joker, just got a goofy killer vibe. I also didn't like Nicholson's Joker begging for his life at the end of the movie. I also feel like Nicholson's Joker was closer to the Adam West TV series version and a little less like the comics, but I could be wrong there. I was never a big comic reader. As for Nicholson's tantrum - there is some probably video out there somewhere, but he just generally pissed and moaned about how furious he was that he wasn't given the part and that they didn't even consider him (even though he was 69 when the movie started filming) and then he made some weird "I warned him" comment after being told of Ledger's death.
  23. I gotta disagree. I found Ledger's Joker far, far better than Nicholson's (and I might be in the moniority, but I don't even think they are close). Ledger's Joker was darker, more dangerous, more of a psychopath. Nicholson's Joker was too clown-like. I also lost a lot of respect for Nicholson when he had his little tantrum after they chose Ledger and then his cryptic comments after being told of Ledger's death.
  24. Anderson was AWFUL this year. No two ways about it. His benching was as much to do with his play as it was Brady Quinn sitting on the bench. And don't forget he just signed a 3-year, $24M deal last year. $8M per is a lot of cash to tie up on a guy who will likely be the backup, and honestly, even when he was playing well, I didn't see much to like about his game - certainly not enough to make him the starter.
