  1. So essentially it's "Waaaaah, I signed a really big contract and now I'm afraid that people will laugh at me, so that makes it OK to take steroids."
  2. You are correct - the closest Gil came was 44 in 75-76. (He also chipped in 69 A for 113 points.) He did score 40+ three times and had seven 30-goal seasons. http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=4248
  3. Agreed. Acnhor Bar = overrated and overpriced tourist trap.
  4. Only half. The others belong to Shawn Kemp.
  5. No, he has two years left on his deal, but he wants his contract restructured.
  6. Supposedly Steve Smith is trying to recruit Boldin to come to Carolina (saw it this morning on SportsCenter).
  7. Amen. I thought I was the only one who felt this way....
  8. FSU has Rivals' no.6 class (as of 3 p.m.) and looks like they have done pretty well so far. Signed a few big OL's, some skill guys, and and a couple big-name DL - one DT and one DE.
  9. Yeah, I got real tired of his crap this year. Sorry to see a young kid who still hasn't gotten his head on straight, but Bobby and co. did the right thing in cutting him loose.
  10. My money is on Skooby.
  11. I was a little disappointed that Alba, Black and Leachman didn't have a significant role in the show. I thought there would be more to their cameos than being part of an illegally downloaded movie...
  12. Apparently he's trying to expand his Curse to cover this offseason in addition to the 2009 regular season...
  13. I look at my five-year-old boxer mix and wonder if I'll ever be strong enough to go through that. Just reading your post brings a lump to my throat.
  14. Update: Looks like Citi is, at the very least, looking into ways to get out of the naming-rights deal: (Reuters) – Citigroup Inc is exploring the possibility of backing out of a nearly $400 million marketing deal with the New York Mets amid concerns over how lenders are using government bailout money, the Wall Street Journal said, citing people familiar with the matter. Officials at Citigroup have made no final decision about whether to try to void the 20-year agreement, which includes naming the Mets' new baseball stadium after the bank, the people told the paper. ----------------- If Citigroup backs out of its agreement with the Mets, it likely would not happen immediately and could involve the bank paying a break-up penalty to the Mets, the paper said, citing people familiar with the situation. Could be just a PR move to quiet some of the criticism, but who knows anymore. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20090203/bs_nm/us_citigroup_mets
  15. Warner's pick-6 at the goal line killed the Cards. Even if they have to settle for 3, they go into the half tied instead of down 10.
  16. Yes, some fans are that impatient. The hot pockets crowd demands that a project WR who played in a rudimentary offense and, as a result, never learned the nuances of playing WR - like how to adjust his route, get separation, read defenses - to jump right in his first year and dominate. Most people realized that he was going to take time to develop, but I don't think most thought the Bills would stop calling his number in the red zone. The only thing that makes me nervous about Hardy is the knee injury, because that sets him back and could really impact his development.
  17. Done. Thanks. I think we have a winner here. Although honestly I think I'd rather hear one of the DOND models talk about the game than Matt Millen.
  18. So when is The Office going to actually start, so I can adjust the DVR?
  19. Hey, NBC - could you have squeezed a couple more analysts on that stage?
  20. Yeah I guess so. Just an average group of commercials for the most part, commercials I'd expect to see in a random regular-season game.
  21. I thought this year's batch of commercials -- as a whole -- were pretty disappointing. Nothing really stood out or really made me laugh out loud.
  22. Yeah I think so.
  23. Just once I'd love to see him make a catch and toss the ball to the ref and go back to the huddle without dancing, strutting or pointing. Just once.
  24. Ingram catching that pass on 3rd and long and broke somewhere around a dozen Bills' arm tackles to pick up the first down, which I assume the 3rd and forever play the previous poster mentioned.
