  1. In all fairness most of our moves HAVE been the wrong ones for the last decade or so.
  2. Agreed. It's like watching a one-man show.
  3. On some of the pics I agree. But I'm just saying that I don't have a single photo of myself with orange skin (thanks to the spray-on tan) and my hair sticking straight out & up and gelled into a helmet like an oompa loompa.
  4. Read this article and you'll get a better idea of why Clarett failed in the pros. Ego was a big part, immaturity, hanging around with the wrong people, not willig to work hard enough to get ahead, partying too much, supposedly drinking while at practice...
  5. Maybe. I just have a hard time believing they will carry three goalies down the stretch run, especially since the goalie situation in Portland has been tough. The playoffs I can understand - but for another month of the regular season? That mean TG will have to steal even more sugar packets than he already does.
  6. I doubt Tellqvist gets picked up on waivers if they do send him down, and I doubt that they keep three goalies up once they know that Ryan is healthy.
  7. Miller is probably not out for the rest of the regular season, but if he does miss a majority of the stretch run Tellqvist is capable enough to backup Lalime and give him a couple nights off here and there. Picking up Tellqvist also allows Buffalo to return Enroth to Portland, so he can continue to play and develop, and when Miller comes back Tellqvist will be sent down to Portland to give the organziation some goalie depth. The whole Sabres organization has been hit hard with goaltender injuries in the last few months - Dennis is out, the backup they signed to replace him broke his collarbone and is out, plus Miller - so they were pretty much signing guys off the street to play in Portland in recent weeks.
  8. Most of those made me nauseous. The only thing I can honestly say I've tried is the Snickers Pie.
  9. See PastaJoe's post. The Sabres weren't going to take on the rest of Marty's $3.5M contract when they could gete a comparable backup for a fraction of the cost - especially when the newest backup would most likely have to be waived and/or sent down to Portland when Ryan returns.
  10. We really need some new smileys to help emphasize how lame your puns have become. The old just doesn't cut it anymore.
  11. I assume he's talking about the 4-year, $10M deal Marv threw at Peerless the second time around.
  12. Can we add the use of "resigned" when it's supposed to be "re-signed?"
  13. Are you sure it's official? I haven't seen it posted in rotoworld.com or profootballtalk.com's forums yet.
  14. That's as official as it gets for Steely...
  15. Two real good posts in this thread. Nice work, guys.
  16. Agreed, especially considering what Gross said: "The thing about Geoff, when we go to replace him, you’re going to need at least two guys. He’s a center, a guard, the backup long snapper, a kicker returner, not just anybody can do all the things he’s done here." He said he played last year at 315, which is pretty good from what I can see. Two of the guys a lot of posters were clamoring for - Birk and Saturday - are listed at 6-4, 309 and 6-2, 295, respectively.
  17. The problem is "should have" gets contracted in spoken language, so it sounds like "should of." But I agree 100%, the "should of signed ____" posts kill me.
  18. They've edited/updated that story: According to Hangartner (6’5” 315), the Bills like him best in the pivot.
  19. Yeah, most schools do a pretty good job of verifying that the person is a member of the working media and is assigned to the game or a story before issuing credentials. Looks like this one slipped through the cracks, and/or UConn might be reevaluating their policies.
  20. No shame in liking the big girls, Steely - but admitting it here will earn you a hearty helping of grief.
  21. If it were Kim I'd give it a big but since it's that ManBearPig Khloe K -- a beast -- she gets a . :worthy:
  22. Why can't businesses choose whether to be closed on Sundays, rather than be forced to by archaic laws? I don't know many that choose to do so, but I know Chick-Fil-A restaurants are closed on Sundays, and they push that as a benefit to their employees.
