Being in the Cleveland market and not springing for the MLB Extra Innings package I don't get to see a lot of the Phillies (or anyone in the NL, for that matter) so I haven't seen a lot of Rollins, but the more I see the more I like him. I know I'm probably one of about 100 people in the US watching the WBC but I'd rather see him at SS than Jeter. I'm also finding a new level of respect for Pedroia, now that I get to see him play away from the Red Sox.

If that's the case, how do you know he was on roids?
-
Yeah, you have to wonder if he had some issues with painkillers after his spinal fusion surgery, and then after not being accepted back into the WWE, he could have turned to other stuff to "kill the pain."

Andrew "Test" Martin, a former WWE wrestler, was found dead in his Tampa, Fla. apartment late Friday night, MyFOXTampaBay.com reported. Neighbors called police after seeing the 33-year-old motionless over a span of several hours. The cause of death wasn't immediately known, but police said foul play isn't suspected. An autopsy will be performed. Martin joined the WWE in 1998 and won many of the organization's major titles before suffering a severe back injury, MyFOXTampaBay.com reported. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,509218,00.html

tHE REAL Jason Peters solution
Bmwolf21 replied to Wagon Circler's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The debate about Peters' worth and value aside, this to me is more of an issue that has to be resolved in the CBA, where the union and owners agree to cap rookie salaries and signing bonuses so that guys who have never set foot on an NFL field are not making more than established stars. Problem is the union wants nothing to do with it, because of situations like this. Long gets his massive, undeserved rookie contract and as a result Peters and all the other established LT's can squawk and push for new contracts, raising the bar for everyone. -
The old George Carlin standard: Selling is legal ing is legal Why isn't selling ing legal?

Here's what I wrote the hack writer
Bmwolf21 replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. I thought it was pretty funny, and the angle on how Buffalo should deal with TO was a nice balance to the "why is TO going to backwater Buffalo" crap that's been written lately. -
Reading some of the messages on Spawn.com's MB I got the impression that a lot of people are disgusted with McFarlane's quality control and customer service procedures. I would love to see a Billy Ripken f**kface McFarlane. I'm surprised that none of the custom places have done that yet. And on that note, I'd love to have a couple custom ones done, but I don't have the extra cash for that right now. I'd like to see if one those places could do a decent job turning my loose McGahee Bills figure into a Lynch.

Now that I've found the Spawn.com message boards and had time to search through some of the threads, I found this one: http://board.spawn.com/forums/showthread.p...highlight=Error He's got a bunch of sports errors with photos - guys with no names on their jerseys, guys with the wrong base or missing a piece of equipment, etc. Interesting to see how many made it out with mistakes.

I'd like to put them on a shelf in my kid's room but right now we're renting, so we can't drill holes into the walls and hang any shelving. So I figured for the time being, keep them in the box and hook 'em on the wall. I'm just surprised that I can't find anything on the Spawn.com message boards about this error.

That was a good one.

So I found a LeBron James McFarlane figure (Series 13) at the local Wal-Mart and put it up on the wall in my son's bedroom (still in the packaging, just used a 3M Command hook) and didn't think anything about it. Didn't notice until the other day that the floor stand he's packaged with does not have his name, team or number - it reads "Shaquille O'Neal, #32, Miami Heat." The package is still sealed, so I don't think someone bought it and returned it with the wrong floor, and I can't find anything online talking about this kind of error. Anyone know anything about this type of packaging error, does it make it worth anything extra, or am I just grasping at straws here? EDIT: Included a link to a pic - sorry the quality isn't better. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g280/bmwolf21/DSCN0807.jpg

I don't disagree that the Bills could be in line for night games again this year (though I think it will take a good draft and another couple solid FA pickups, not just the addition of TO) but I don't want to see us crap our pants coming out of the tunnel again against NE. I'm fine with night games against pretty much anyone on our home schedule, with the exception of the P*ts and maybe the Colts. -

Sure, because the last primetime game against NE worked out so well so far. What was it, 56-10 at RWS? Fan atmosphere is great. Getting our asses kicked on a national broadcast? Not so much. -

Don't discount poor defense and poor coaching in that 0-6 AFCE record. Those played as big a role (and in some cases, a bigger role) as inconsistent QB play. -
TO...North America's Team Wallpaper!

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. -

It's still way early in the offseason to say which team is going to be better or worse, but if the season started today I'd have a very hard time chalking up Atlanta, Carolina, TB, Tennessee, Miami and the Jets as wins. TB and the Jets are rebuilding with new coaches, so those are possible, but Carolina, Atlanta and Tennessee were playoff teams last year, we got swept by the Dolphins (and went 0-6 in the AFC East). Suddenly we're going to go 4-2 in the East, after adding a center and a no.2 WR? At best I think we split with Miami and the Jets and get swept by NE. I think we lose on the road at Tennessee, Carolina and Atlanta. I think we can beat the Chiefs and Jags on the road, and lose to the Colts and possibly Bucs or Saints at home. Here's how I break it down: Home Games NE - L Miami - W NY Jets - W TB - Tossup Indy - L NO - Toss Hou - Toss Cle - W Home record - at best 6-2, at worst maybe 3-5 Road NE - L Miami - L NY Jets - Toss Car - L Jax - Toss KC - W Atl - L Ten - L Road record - at best 5-3, most likely 2-6 or 3-5. My most optimistic guess - 9-7 and just on the outside of the playoffs, looking in. I think 12-13 wins is a pipe dream. The stars would have to align perfectly. I know everyone is giddy about TO but let's remember that we've been 7-9 forever and while I know you don't want to believe this, we still have a loser head coach, who alone is likely good for a half-dozen losses. -

Wow, that's optimistic. Completely unrealistic, IMO - but optimistic. -
LEE EVANS said hes the #1 WR(not TO)
Bmwolf21 replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No doubt that TO is a superstar WR, but it's not like he and Lee had comparable situations. Evans had very little complementing him last year - lining up with Lee we essentially had a bunch of #3/4 receivers and a TE who was unreliable at best, plus a second-year QB who struggled. TO had a Pro Bowl QB throwing to him and a Pro Bowl TE to draw the opponents' attention. -
Really? Cut him if he won't give up a jersey number? B-) Thank you. According to Wiki (take it FWIW) he wore #80 in college in honor of Jerry Rice.
