Ever heard of "doing the right thing"? To be a vested NFL player, you need to have 3 credited seasons. So far he has 2. Keeping him on the roster gets to be a fully vested NFL player which has certain bennies, among the biggest is health insurance. Think this isn't important? If you are a player who has 2 offers that are basically the same and one team is a class act and takes care of it players and the other team kicks players to the curb to free up a roster spot for....reasons. Which team are you going to sign with? Players talk. They know the good organizations from the meh organizations from the bad organizations. Players want to get paid yes but they also have a need to not feel like a piece of meat who will get thrown out like yesterday's garbage.

Matt Araiza accused of rape, served with a lawsuit.
mbossman2 replied to bill8164's topic in Off the Wall
One thing that does not appear to have been mentioned: If the alleged victim was 17 at the time of the alleged crime (which is what news reports are saying), that puts her under the age of consent in California which immediately puts sexual contact between someone above the age of majority and someone under 18 as rape. I was discussing this with someone this morning and he said "if this was my daughter, that kicker wouldn't have seen another sunrise" -
Is Josh Allen too good to be true?
mbossman2 replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
we are not completely out of the Josh Allen woods quite yet. As we saw on Sunday, Allen can and will get rattled when someone damages his football-fu. When he gets rattled, it infects the entire offense and they stop making plays. In Sunday's case, he was able to shake it off but I can see him getting rattled and make a series of mistakes that compound's the situation. He is still a young player mid to late early in his development. Hopefully he will continue to improve and if he does we will have a heavy duty decade long weapon in our roster. -

As an out of towner and with clients in midwest NFL cities, I can see why the Bills want to do this. The Bills fan base (right or wrong) is viewed as nothing but a bunch of out of control drunken idiots who get laughed at by people who see them on youtube. You have to take the Bills homer glasses off and see how other people see you to truly understand why the Bills want to do this.

Comments about Nathan Peterman being a "good guy"
mbossman2 replied to The Bills Blog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People said the same thing about Kay Stephenson especially in the 1984 (2-14) season..."he's such a nice guy" was heard over and over until he got canned in 1985 after going 0-4. -
Brandon Beane deserves to be fired tomorrow
mbossman2 replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So Beane and/or McDermmot should be fired. If you advocate for that, tell us all: who are you going to get to replace them? Anybody you put forth has be to willing to come here after you have just canned the HC and/or GM after a year and a half. -
Theoretically, they could take action if the Bills were aware of this situation for an extended period of time and did nothing or if Brandon took retaliatory action. The laws and penalties around hostile work environments are pretty severe to ensure that organizations take allegations seriously. This is why most organizations have zero tolerance policies in this area.

QB Faults and why to not trade up
mbossman2 replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is the only one that is a valid concern. the more concussions the more likely his career will end early, voluntarily or involuntarily -
