  1. Excellent use of the tag function, too!
  2. And to make it more unbelievable, he only has 5 incompletions. More TDs than incompletions! He is 22 of 27 right now, 12:52 left in 4th. kj Edit: Beaten to the punch again.
  3. Nice entry.
  4. Tuel was in a tight spot and not up to the job of backup. That is what you are saying, and that is what I am saying.
  5. 2 games with 40+ carries? Is he going to be able to walk up and get his diploma in May? Also, can RBs wear #8 in the NFL? kj
  6. If Tuel needs starter's reps to be an adequate backup, then he isn't an adequate backup.
  7. I started doing weekly ones when it seemed like this one got too unwieldy. 2 weeks ago. Plus another one that got merged by the mods. See page 5 of this thread. I'm not in it for the competition or the recognition. I thought it made sense. If not, or if it doesn't take off, I'll stop. Again, I just want to encourage the most people to enter the conversation.
  8. As the guy who started a weekly thread, I obviously disagree with your sentiment completely. Here are my reasons: Does Bill in NYC refresh his thread every week or start a new one to review every game? Much more likely that someone will want to search for all-22 on a specific game than to review the whole season. And if you are looking to review the entire season from the 22, it is just as easy--if not easier--to search for 16 (hopefully more) games on the board for specific game threads than it is to wade through what will have become 40+ pages of a single thread. Most importantly, the new thread is much more conducive to attracting new people to the conversation. If you miss the conversation for a few days in the old thread, it is very hard to find the links to the analyses. Much easier to find in a shorter thread. At a certain point, threads get big enough that it discourages new people from joining. And 22 pages is definitely past that limit. As the season goes on, that thread will be more and more a conversation between a few people. How many times have we seen people write here that they didn't want to wade through 15 pages to find something? The board is better served by weekly threads. kj
  9. One positive of a Flynn start: if KC's pass rush bruises his ribs, it really won't set us back any.
  10. This one, and the one from WGR expose problems with Thad but also with play design. If a play fake fools no one, why bother? kj
  11. Another from Buffalo Rumblings, looking at why Lewis got bit so many times. Pattern to be repeated next week? http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2013/10/30/5045976/bills-vs-chiefs-buffalo-protection-problems-vs-blitz
  12. Last week I tried to start a fresh, game-specific All-22 thread for the Dolphins game. In-thread responses were positive, but then many people still used the generic all-22 thread that now covers 7 games. I'm going to try again. I'll post more links if I see them. We had some people doing their own analysis for a while. It would be good to get that going again. When I watch live, I can't see this stuff. I admit I'm a 'follow the ball' guy. So this is helpful for me to know what is going on. Buffalo Rumblings looks at the Bills D, focusing on the pass rush and how it affects the coverage behind. It looks at the fateful TD pass to Stills, too. EDIT: It's really about Hughes' role. http://www.buffaloru...hes-in-coverage Jeremy White at WGR looks at a bunch of plays, both D and O. http://www.wgr550.co...Saints/17640797 kj One says the holding call on Hughes was legit, the other says it was bogus. I guess the film doesn't reveal all of its secrets.
  13. Argue with the last sentence if you want. But the first is a fact that needs to be a part if this discussion. He wasn't physically able to start the season and it took him 6 weeks to see the field and 7 to have any impact. Not worth holding a roster spot IMO.
  14. 8 seconds of competitive football.
  15. A Bills fan is someone who calls out his team for sucking and then threatens to punch a reporter in the face who does the same. kj
  16. Another: http://www.wgr550.com/All-22-Review-Bills-Dolphins-Mario-s-Masterpiece/17596491
  17. Poor Rob. Rex got the brains. And the looks.
  18. I always suspected he wasn't playing with a full deck.
  19. And the 'hug' in live action. Animated gifs were made for this, cuz I can watch this loop all day. Who couldn't watch a Bills player do that to a phins QB all day? kj
  20. Mods: One all-22 thread for the entire season is unwieldy, so I am starting a new one for just this game. If you feel the need to merge, do so, but this strikes me as a better way to discuss Xs and Os. Post your links to All-22 analysis of the Bills-Dolphins game here, or provide your own. I think having a new All-22 discussion for every game makes sense. Here's the first that I've seen, keying on Mario: http://www.buffaloru...r-buffalo-bills The Dolphins stuff starts on slide 12. kj
  21. Would love to see his 1st sack from a helmet cam attached to Tannehill! Can't believe how quick he got there. And I bet Tannehill can't either.
  22. Mario speaks wisdom: "You can't trust a damn mammal. All mammals cheat." Around the 3 minute mark. Now clearly he meant aquatic mammals, not land-based quadrupeds. At least that's what I think he said. kj Edit: I was beaten to the punchline.
