  1. Any gains from Goodwin bringing them back would be offset by the big returns that the other guys would be getting. That coach is a problem. kj
  2. You raise good points. Does the decision to go for 2 vs Carolina show good strategic thinking? kj
  3. For once--and I think this is important--no one can say that we abandoned the run even though it wasn't working. I don't like the results, but I like that they kept giving the ball to the RBs and sending them into that wall. Make the D respect the running game even though it goes nowhere, and send a message to your O line that they will become a line to run behind. Someday. I like that game plan.
  4. I hope Marrone is as quick with the hook when it comes to the coaching staff as he is with players.
  5. Shouldn't he have been fined for that? Isn't there precedent?
  6. We'll all be smiling when these guys climb the podium after the Super Bowl so Goodell can present them the Kiko Alonso Trophy.
  7. As a courtesy to the other members of the board, please change the title of your post to more accurately reflect its contents.
  8. Can't argue with you. The facts speak for themselves.
  9. I know the board has moved on and this thread is in full "that's not what I said/yes it is" mode (which is the last gasp of TBD threads, the meta stage). But I'm kinda still buzzing from the win over the Jests, and one big reason is the way the Bills upended the trend of being bullied by them. The Jets came in with the same plan: hit 'em in the teeth and watch 'em fold. By the 4th quarter, maybe the 3rd, we will be grinding the clock behind 6 yard runs on first down. What is so encouraging is that the Bills went toe to toe. They didn't fold, they didn't change things up or panic when the running game didn't produce. They kept EJ clean--from 8 sacks in week 3 to 0!--and they beat the crap out of that other guy. Yeah, that was different. kj
  10. Of course it's not. But I'm saying that to call RI out for being a bigot and treating those around him like &$^%, for targeting minorities and women through his &^$%#ty behavior. You're saying that my criticism doesn't hold because RI works in a locker room, not a bank office. I'm saying that is BS. A jackass is a jackass, a bigot is a bigot. The 'PC' label is a dodge and a reason to willfully look the other way while someone treats other people like dirt. kj
  11. If by "hyper PC" you mean "you don't have license to be a jackass just because", then I guess that makes sense.
  12. And might well be in jail.
  13. More on Incognito: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/24249125/report-richie-incognito-dolphins-players-harassed-team-staffer
  14. Did anyone link to this discussion of EJ? All-22 looks at a few select plays that were high-quality, plus a few where he didn't do so well. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2013/11/20/5124610/ej-manuel-highlights-all-22-four-best-rookie-season-throws
  15. I'd definitely look into a vaccination ...
  16. "Ice up, son!" Love it.
  17. This post has a gif of the end of the play: http://forums.twobil...40#entry2981081 From that, it looks like the DB breaks/alters path on the ball before the contact with Gronk. Which would rule out def. holding. But I still think that this has to be PI (if any other team is playing). Adding: I think it is very unlikely or even impossible that Gronk has a chance at the catch. I think it is very possible that he could have committed offensive PI to break up the Int, however. That still would have ended the game, due to the clock, but the refs got too cute here with the judgment calls. Here is the nfl.com video: http://www.nfl.com/v...er-end-zone-INT Tommy Asterisk threw that into double coverage, and underthrew it. If Kuechly didn't mug Gronk, the pundits would be questioning the throw. kj
  18. Rex should have taken them out for cheeseburgers instead. kj
  19. Thanks, thanks, thanks, and thanks. kj
  20. Not much prettier than the opposing DB being left on the turf like that. Along those lines, can anyone tell me why EJ's throw on the Graham TD was that short? Was it a designed underthrow, did the wind kill it, or was it a designed underthrow that the wind killed to make it look that much more underthrown? kj
  21. Another guy who was more good story than good player.
  22. The Patri*ts are already at work on face mask lenses that allow its players to see the invisible players. And the arms race is begun. kj
  23. This is what he is referring to: http://nickelcitybills.com/2013/11/12/ej-manuels-return-to-action-in-pittsburgh/ Great work with the charts! kj
