I think it would be a penalty, for illegal substitution. Remember when Manziel caught a TD pass in September? He had just run 1 play from under center and then walked toward the bench. He stood near the sideline arguing with the OC until the ball was snapped and then ran a route. I agree that lots of teams lose to the Patri*ts (where's your asterisk, btw?) But we have been staring up at them for forever, and that game looked like a rerun of so many games in the series. We did not do enough to make it a competitive game. We remain Brady's Washington Generals, a nice warm up for the real games, an opportunity to pad the stats. Until we can hang with them, we are the same old Bills. kj

I would have liked to have seen a team that plays tough, is a tough win in Buffalo, makes good teams game plan beyond 'hang around until the Bills shoot themselves in the foot', and has a plan for overtaking the Patri*ts beyond 'wait for Brady to hang 'em up.' Those are the subjective qualities I wanted to see in my team this year. And I could accept not making the playoffs, if we were putting things in place. Not sure that we are. kj

I'm not enjoying it, but I'm tired of this movie. The team shows guts and potential in the beginning of the season, but flip the calendar page to November and the self-destruction begins. Good teams know that they can come in to Buffalo and wait the Bills out: they'll hand the game over soon enough. Yeah, we moved the ball up and down the field but KC knew we have no red zone offense and they could bend with little fear of breaking. And the gap between us and the P*ts hasn't shrunk one bit, since forever. Second rate is second rate. And recognizing that there are a number of solid to spectacular players on the team doesn't change the fact that they lost another game that they should have won going away. kj
