I disagree. We know a lot more today than we did in Tasker's era about the long-term effects of head injuries. In 1990, we would have cringed and wondered about the impact of the hit on the roster for the rest of the season. Today we know it will have significant impacts on the player's life moving forward. It's a different era. Again, it was not necessary to deliver a head shot for Landry to have a positive impact on the play. Take the opponent out of the play, not the game. kj

No one ever accused Robert Woods of playing less than 100% even though he never launched himself into someone's ear hole. That is a BS argument. Again, you can take someone out of the play without taking him out of the game.

Again: he could have taken AW out of the play without taking him out of the game. There is a difference. Robert Woods has done it many times and no one faults him for his run blocking. This is ridiculous.

He didn't need to do that to prevent AW from making a play. R Woods, whose blocking everyone looks to as the way a WR goes about things, never looks to take the other team's players out of the game, just out of the play. It was dirty. kj
