Patrick Kane arrested in Buffalo for assaulting cabbie

I dunno...I'm pretty sure my dad can still kick my @ss..... -
The guy who runs this site goes by the name JC and he's got a rumour mill average of about 75% when it comes to the Sens. He broke the news of the Kovalev signing almost 3 hours before the mainstream media picked it up, he broke the Vermette for Leclaire trade and he's always the first to announce internal contract signing extensions. This guy has got some sources inside the organization (if he doesn't work there himself). He reported the first SJ deal of Erhoff, Cheechoo and a 1st for Heatley that he mainstream media picked up a week later. Good chance that he's right here too. I had heard thru the grapevine that the Sabres were trying to sign Zherdev but once he made it clear he was heading back to Russia, Heatley became their plan "B". As for the trade, I'd make that deal in a minute. Roy is a local boy from Gatineau, Paille is solid and Myers, if he fills out, could be the Canadian Chara....I just can't see why Buffalo would give him up and not Cassian or their 1st next year instead. You build around Myers.

Am I the only one who doesn't have a problem with Fisher

With every ounce of my being.... Comparing DJ to him is like comparing hamburger to filet mignon.... -
In Ottawa, we keep hearing Buffalo's name being thrown out in the Heatley Free-for-all....any thoughts on that?

bills possibly interested in vick
Heels20X6 replied to DELLAPELLE JOHN's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just threw Garcia out as an example of how there were MUCH BETTER options out there than Fitzpatrick. For once, I would have liked the Bills to go out and scout a back-up QB who might have the potential to adequately start if Trent went down to injury... Our season is over if Fitzy boy has to play any games behind center... -
The Big Cat - the last Jauron fan standing....

Seems like just the move this incompetent management/coaching staff would make... The Bills War Room: Brandon: "You guys want to sign a good security blanket in Jeff Garcia?" Jauron: "Naaaaah, first let's overpay for Fitzpatrick - his weak arm will make Trent's look like Michael Bishop's, then when he flames out in training camp, we'll bring in Vick!" Modrak: "Brilliant!" -
Patrick Kane arrested in Buffalo for assaulting cabbie

Question to the board: What's worse? 1) Getting caught with a loaded handgun in the trunk of your car? 2) Beating up a defenseless cab driver with the help of your cousin and then robbing him? I'm interested in the social experiment sort of way, if the same righteous indignation that was shown Marshawn Lynch for his indiscretions by some on this board (called "ghetto thug" by some) will be shown towards local boy Patrick Kane...... -

Ever been in the doctor's office waiting room....?

I'm just shocked you didn't make a crack about the Canadian health care system.... -

I agree with you 100%, driving tests don't prove anything. I think after 65, if you wish to keep you driver's license, you need to have a combination reflex/react and vision tests. My co-worker was telling me today that his grandmother still drives at 88 and is practically blind. The gentleman who narrowly missed getting crushed said the woman turned the corner and just cranked the gas....I'm guessing the same thing, she missed the brake pedal, panicked and slammed on the gas....again...lucky no one got seriously hurt but someone very well could have. -
Ever been in the doctor's office waiting room....?

So I went in to the doctor's office today for a routine check up and as I'm waiting in the aptly-named waiting room, a car decides to drive THROUGH THE WALL into the room!!! I was seated right in the corner of the wall adjacent to it so fortunately, it missed me by a couple of feet. Unfortunately, a man and his 8 year old son were sitting along the wall. The son was okay as he was sitting on the edge of his chair and got thrown a few feet but landed okay but his dad took some of the impact right in his back. He wasn't seriously hurt according to the paramedics but he did injure his shoulder and lower back. The driver was an elderly woman in her 70s (possibly 80s) who (FORTUNATELY) just missed a pedestrian crossing to get into the office. The pedestrian was pretty shaken as he would have been crushed. To illustrate the impact, the car absolutely mangled a shopping cart into and thru the wall. Thank God no one was seriously hurt. I'd have to put "Seeing car go thru wall into doc's office" as #1 on my "WTF List"... -
Wait...are you talking about Favre or Fitzpatrick? Because I saw a few Cincinatti games that Fitzy boy "managed" and his throws were painful to watch.

I see... How's this for an odd story. Today, I actually met a man from Nantucket. Now have at it.

So how's this work exactly?

I believe so much in the players, I truly believe the Bills have the talent to not only compete but to go deep into the playoffs. That's why its so maddening that we continue with a coaching staff (minus special teams) that's completely incompetent where defining them as "sub-par" would be flattering. I truly believe under a coach like Bill Cowher or Jeff Fisher this is a 12 win team. Under Dumb Dick, we'll be lucky to crack 8 wins. I believe in the players, I don't believe in the staff.

Vic Carucci not a fan of Fitzpatrick either
Heels20X6 replied to Pitta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How so? NFL contracts aren't guaranteed right so if he can't perform, then its time to cut him. Of course he's "Ivy league" so I guess he fits in with our head coach and I can't see him going anywhere regardless of poor performance.... -
Someone advise Trent to stay the heck away from Harrahs and if his TV is broken, just read a book! (too soon....?)

As a Canadian, I'll say this. When I was younger, I suffered from some serious childhood illnesses (as did my brother) and I can say without any hesitation that I was treated by some of the best doctors at no charge to my family because of our nationalized healthcare. As an adult, I haven't (fortunately) had to test the system myself, but when my uncle suffered a heart attack, this system that many declare as "flawed" could not have been any better. Will it work in America? That I highly doubt. I think because of the population, the general health of Americans (obesity rates and what not) and the entrenched health insurance system that EFFECTIVE nationalized health care in the US is a pipe dream.

Thanks! With these bad boys, I plan on tearin' up a few T-shirts! -
In Canada, Timbits go stale in less than 30 minutes. They're rushing to get them home before they go bad.
