  1. Another graduate of Hamburger University.... I wonder how he treats janitors on buses?
  2. I was doing great until stupid Sportscenter in Canada decided to run the highlights (lowlights?) again...then followed it up with the Top 10 Bills Heartbreak Losses... ...then I began to openly weep in the gym while I was on the treadmill....
  3. Why fight? Because some fans have nothing better to do than criticize players and try to run them out of town I guess... For the life of me I can't see why we all aren't ECSTATIC that we have two amazing, DIFFERENT backs that we can use to keep defenses guessing and anticipating how we're going to come at you on the ground. Instead, Freddie has a great game and instead of being happy thinking that when Marshawn gets back, we'll have TWO great RBs, some want to relegate him to the bench or even trade him?!? Look at the great teams in the NFL. They all run two back systems. Heck, the Pats use FOUR. With Jackson and Lynch, our running game resembles that of the Giants, where you use Marshawn to wear a team's D-line down with punishing runs and use Jackson to gash them when they're worn out. Like Jacobs and Bradshaw. Why must we feel the need to ostracize our players?!?
  4. Actually, I think that was an amazing play by Schobel (another player who gets shat on here as much, if not more, than Trent). He read that screen pass and Brady's eyes and made a heck of a play. That INT is all Schobel. Heck, I thought Schoebel played so great that I thought he was our game MVP! Amazing considering he missed 11 games last year! We'll agree to disagree but the difference is we're going to do it without name-calling and civility. Some people can learn from us.
  5. Dog...I like your enthusiasm for our team. It's positive but not over-the-top. What I'm getting sick of is coming to this board and seeing a internet pissing contest between Alphadawg and SouthGeorgiaBillsFan to see who can pull the most "stats" out of their arse to hammer home whatever agenda/crusade they're on. With Alphadawg, we all know his schtick. He doesn't like Trent as the QB...he's going to go out of his way to criticize him regardless of how good a performance he has because that's his "cause" I guess... On the other side is SouthGeorgiaBillsFan, who's demanding they build a bust for Trent in Canton with his fanatacism and when people even slightly disagree with his assessment, he resorts to boasting about his "football knowledge" and hurling childish insults at other posters. I'm personally getting sick of both of these two monopolizing our boards with their opinions passed as facts. Can't we all just f###ing agree that Trent had a good start to the season from which he and AVP can build on?!? IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?!?
  6. It was 30 yards and he still engineered that drive. The simple fact is great QBs find ways to win the game. Trent is developing still (imo it's only his 2nd year) and he's still got a ways to go. Let me put it this way, if Tom Brady was given the Bills Offense and 50 seconds left to get the team into field goal range, do you think he does it? I like Trent, but he's got some playing to do before I label him 'great'. He's got all season to earn that moniker.
  7. Agreed! In week two though, against an inexperienced Bucs D, let's open it up a little more and shred them with slants and crossing routes. Let's give them a steady dose of Freddie, TO and Lee! Dial it up AVP!
  8. Very few people are stating that Trent wasn't impressive last night. In fact, most people are commending Trent for playing a solid game and putting the Bills in a position to win. Some of us (with so-called "football knowledge") have come to the agreement that for this offense to be truly successful, Trent has to incorporate the receivers more often, especially when those receivers are pro-bowl caliber. What most of us are taking umbrage to is your ridiculous extrapolation to your ridiculous statement that Trent outplayed Brady. Anyone with two eyes saw that Brady had the better game. END OF STORY. Stop flexing your e-penis about how much you know when your first post doesn't support the argument at all. We appreciate your enthusiasm for Trent and most of us hope he transitions into the #1 QB we've been waiting on for a decade now, but inane arguments like this do nothing to help the cause.
  9. It's one game....even the most eternal of optimists think it's too early to be calling for playoffs. Trent played good. Brady played great. When Trent engineers two TD drives in 5:06 then I'll label him 'great'.
  10. Here in Canada, during a CFL playoff game, a fan of the Saskatchewan Roughriders was so pissed at the kicker missing the game-winning field goal that he dumped manure on his front lawn. The culprit turned out to be a 31 year old loser.... http://www.redorbit.com/news/oddities/1032...loss/index.html This is just as classless as that.
  11. Sorry buddy, I know you're looking for positives but after 10 years of no playoffs as well as a handful of crushing defeats that are eerily similar to this one, I got no patience for "moral victories". Moral victories are for teams that are used to regular victories where losing isn't the norm.
  12. Well, hard to play with a strained hamstring....apparently he injured it and couldn't practice all week so they made him inactive. He'll be in next week.
  13. Here's a question...would Tom Brady have been able to get the Bills into field goal range with 50 seconds on the clock? (Just a hypothetical question, not criticizing Trent in a major way...just pointing out that our QB still has a ways to go).
  14. So after McKelvin fumbled, Dick pulled the entire D off the field except for him and he alone gave up the 32 yards for a touchdown? Keep grasping at straws.
  15. I got the Bucs as a W, but Drew Brees is going to pick our Tampa 2 apart! The Saints D sucks but if we're going to get into a shootout with the Saints, we're going to lose. Its going to be up to the front seven to put pressure on Brees but I fear we're going to see a lot of what we saw Brady do against us tonight. Exploitation of the soft zones.
  16. The build is natural...I use steroids for speed enhancement and to improve my vertical. As for Trent, I think tonight showed that there's a great QB in there but like I said, he just needs to trust his receivers to make plays. Chucky pointed out on the 3rd and 3 that the receivers were in single coverage with the blitz coming and Trent needed to just step up, throw the ball and let Lee or TO make the play. There is no question Trent can move the ball quickly and he worked the screens and check downs incredibly tonight. But I want to see more throws like the one to TO at the end. The one that had zip, that was high and into double coverage so that TO HAD to make the play. That's the Trent I want to see more often. Hopefully, we'll see that next week.
  17. The Steelers are rolling the ball down the field, Ben completes a huge pass to Hines Ward who, instead of going down and taking the knee, fights for a few extra yards and coughs up the ball, negating a chance to run out the clock and kick the game winning field goal. The look on his face is major disappointment...he knows he's screwed up. He goes to the sidelines and what do his teammates do? They walk up to him and reassure him it'll be okay. Game goes to OT and the Steelers still win. Good teams find ways to overcome mistakes like the one Leodis made. That would have been the time for anyone on the Bills D to register a huge sack on Brady, or pick off the pass in the endzone. Instead, we give Brady another tale to add to his legend....
  18. I agree. One thing about Dick is in three years (and four offseasons), he's yet to instill a killer instinct into his players. There doesn't seem to be that belief that "YES, WE CAN WIN AND WE CAN BEAT ANYONE, ANYWHERE". Hence, you get these collapses that happen. I don't think the team believed they could win this game...it's like they were thinking "holy sh--, we're winning?!? Okay, okay, calm down...what do we do, what do we do...?" The D looked like deer in headlights as Brady dissected them on the last two TD drives. He scored the same TD TWICE!
  19. By far the best player on the field tonight for the D. Right up there with Freddie for player of the game for the Bills. Him and Maybin are going to be fierce. Here's hoping Kelsay isn't out for too long because the D's pressure evaporated with him leaving. He did a good job of causing a nuisance so the Aarons could do their job.
  20. As a registered Dick Hater™ I can safely say there's no way to pin this loss entirely on him. The only decision that turned out to burn them was putting in a green tackle in Bell in a major game like this. He alone cost us three or four drives with stupid penalties. And at the end of the game, he was a turnstile. As much as this pains me to say this, Dick actually planned a good game. Not his fault the D and special teams managed to f#ck it up for Trent. Trent left the field with an 11 point lead...when he came back they were down 1. WTF?!?
  21. Now come on...I for one question whether or not Trent can be our answer at QB but "coward"?!? THat's not fair. He played EFFICIENTLY today. Next week, I want to see him make more throws like the one to TO at the end of the game. The throws that require you to TRUST your receivers. That's the most frustrating thing about Trent. You know there's an all-world QB in there, someone needs to get it out!
  22. The checkdown worked very well today, as did the screen, but good gravy, you've got TO and Lee Evans.....USE THEM. The reason they dropped the first passes thrown their way is that they forgot what a football looked like. It was Fred Jackson, Fred Jackson, Fred Jackson. I love the guy as much as anyone but COME ON. USE TO and USE EVANS.
  23. Or Jauron, I can see him taking the fall for it. Crappy coach but classy guy.
  24. After 28+ years of being a fan...I'm all cried out...
