Pennington doubtful for week 4!!!
Heels20X6 replied to Glass To The Arson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It comes down to Sparano vs. Jauron. Who you going to take? -
Absolutely! Hanging on to them...and hanging onto them...and hanging onto them...oh wait...there's another sack.
-
Yeah...but the difference was Brees didn't become a chickensh!t and proceed to never throw the ball downfield again. Also, Brees didn't wait until the 4th quarter to actually throw the ball more than 20 yards.... My faith is Trent is falling fast....I thought we were seeing gradual improvement and today was classic Capt. Checkdown. His decision-making and short throws were like the worst of JP and Holcomb combined. It was THAT horrifying. That being said, the O-line was atrocious as well. Did Haumgartner forget how to snap the ball?!?! Just an awful, awful game for the O.
-
SLANTS! FOR CHRISSAKES RUN SOME SLANTS!!!!! You ran ONE F#CKING SLANT today and when Trent and T.O. botched it, they never ran it again! ARRRRGH!
-
I don't think our offense thus far is quite braggable today....
-
Trent's having a horrendous day and has gone into a phone booth and turned into Captain Checkdown again. Mr. Electricity Roscoe Parrish is proving his worthlessness with each game.... It's absolutely criminal that in an offense that has TO and Evans, we've thrown to each once.... D deserves MONSTER RECOGNITION for playing the way the have for as long as they have been on the field. I see the Saints starting to carve them up because they're tired and the offense can't do jack.

Sports Stadium Officials On Alert - terrorism

If this is how we end up living our lives...full of paranoia and fear of an "impending attack"...then the terrorists have won. -
At least Peyton Manning has class
Heels20X6 replied to Chalkie Gerzowski's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Peyton (and Eli) were raised right by Archie and it shows in the way they carry themselves on and off the field. Despite the product schilling, people I know in Indy all say Peyton is very friendly and will always make time to sign an autograph or pose for a pic. Brady on the other hand carries himself like he's God's gift to football and even Bostonians will tell you that he just seems annoyed by anyone. Remember this is the guy who hides away in Manhatten DURING THE SEASON. Nothing would make me happier than to see ol' Tommy Boy fall from grace and finish the year with numbers worse than Ryan Leaf's rookie year. -
'You're going to love to watch this kid return kicks" catching balls on the other hand....er...ha ha ha ha ha!!!!
-
Well, it's safe to say if the Bills have a two TD lead with 5 minutes left against the Fins, we're definitely not blowing that one! Thanks Fins Clock Management!
-
I hope AVP is paying attention....Miami is VERY susceptible to big plays....GET THE BALL TO T.O. AND EVANS and run MULTIPLE SCREENS WITH LYNCH/FJ!!!!

Lynch may find himself on the bench when he returns...

You've listed QBs...not a good comparison because very, very few teams play both QBs in a game. Running game is totally different. Freddie is doing great right now but as some others have pointed out. Marshawn is a great back too! -
He almost had a sure pick too when Leftwich threw it right into his numbers! P.S. Freddie got an extension but it wasn't that fat....based on his play thus far...he's underpaid!

I think with the running game as effective as its been (and remember last year, where Stupid Schonert would outright abandon the run in games), we should only hope the Bills up the run attempts to about 500 this year. As for Lynch, he's going to need two or three games just to get his game legs back. Til then the coaching staff should give Freddie the ball on a 2:1 ratio and over the three games shift it to where Freddie is getting the ball 60% of the carries. If by game 10, Freddie's showing some wear and tear, shift it towards Marshawn. Let the play of the each back dictate who gets more carries. -
I still like "Fast Freddie" more. Because he's fast.
-
"My boy" huh? Goes to show you how you're trying to turn this into a "JP Fanboy vs. Trent Fanboy" debate and I'm not going to get into that seeing as I own BOTH an FJ and Lynch jersey... What I don't get is instead of debating the merits of Fred Jackson, you've used this post to attack Marshawn Lynch, calling him a "thug" and then spreading falsities about how he has a bad attitude on the field and how he's in poor shape and condition. I don't get why you're going out of your way to prove how great Fred Jackson is by attacking a fellow Bill (and his best friend on the team). I think its sad that you're going out of your way to attack a player who's not only a Bill but has given his all on the field. He may be an idiot off it, but I've never seen anyone question his determination on it.

Age is a concern, he is 29 and some analysts believe that RBs hit a wall at around 30-31. I don't think its a matter of him not holding up, but a matter of why risk wearing him out when we have a Pro Bowl RB on the roster too? Keeping both fresh would be ideal and have both of them ready if the Bills were to make the playoffs.
-
Agreed. Most people would assume 5 guys who have never played together before (and 3 of those guys being rookies, with one who only started playing the game 5 years ago!) would be reason for concern. After two games, I am happy that the O-line is the least of our concerns. Hopefully, they continue to improve as the more they improve, the better our offense gets and the better our offense gets, the better our chances are of winning big games and getting to the playoffs. As an unabashed Dick Jauron-basher, I got to say he's given me little to complain about these first two games. Keep it up Dick!

I've been a HUGE Freddie fan since he showed skill in pre-season play three seasons ago. When I heard his story, I desperately wanted him to make the roster. Now that he's here and he's shining, I'm loving it. Plus when Lynch gets back, it makes our running game that much more dangerous! Seeing Jackson run, I think he needs to start the game when Marshawn gets back and we ease Lynch back into it. Manage it like Jackson gets the first three series, Lynch gets the next two, FJ next three, Lynch two...and on an on. Let's Marshawn get his game legs back while keeping hot Freddie going. Our running game is going to give D-coordinators nightmares!

I was impressed that after the INT, he actually shook it off and still was throwing the ball downfield. I was thinking: "Crap...he's going to go ultra-conservative now that he threw that pick..." but then came the deep ball of beauty to TO. I'd give him a B+ Question to AVP: WHERE'S THE SLANTS AT?!?!
-
Well, it's lovely when you have a personal vendetta against a player and you thinly disguise it under a post of "who's better: Lynch or Jackson?". I'm not even going to ask where you get the idea that he has a bad attitude ON THE FIELD because it's asinine that you even wrote it...

No. Take your stupid crusade elsewhere.
