I cancelled my trip to the game this year and sold my tickets on eBay. I love this team but with how much money I have and uncertain job security, going down to see this terrible team and spending $700+ to do so just isn't worth it. I am looking forward to the San Fran office taking me to the Bears-Niners game on Thanksgiving though. So I will get to see what good football looks like this year.

Trent's post game interview

Is he available? Maybe we can get him and John Beck? Both are smart, play-it-safe QBs right? -
Trent's post game interview
Heels20X6 replied to Original Byrd Man's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sweet Jeebus, I didn't even think of that.... I think the Fitzpatrick Era is about to start soon..... -
Remember that they didn't have a mental midget as a HC too. Tomlin instilled passion into his team. He instilled accountability. His players play for him but they give 100% or they get it from him. Dicky J just hopes his guys "try their best" and its milk and cookies after the game win or lose. Tomlin also surrounds himself with one of the best coaching staffs in the game, using EXPERIENCED coordinators like Lebeau instead of "promoting from within" like our mess of an organization. The Steelers are what the Bills should be.

A Few Thoughts About The Game
Heels20X6 replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I recall many who harped on this stupid point. As if Trent Edwards is better than Jay Cutler. Cutler has one thing Trent will NEVER have. Guts. Jay throws a pick and he shakes it off and starts slinging again. Trent throws a pick, runs to the sideline, pops in My Chemical Romance on his iPod and has a good cry. Cutler is play and demeanor reminds me more of Jim Kelly than any QB in the league. -
Maybe he finally steps away from football operations....?

I'm willing to see what the baked potato can do in a hurry-up offense, the only downside is that it pushes Hamdan to #4 on the depth chart. How good is the potato's situational awareness? And what kind of chemistry does it have with our WRs?

Lynch: 8 carries for 4 yards
Heels20X6 replied to Offside Number 76's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let's ignore the 43 yards he got on 5 passes though with some of those passes happening behind the line of scrimmage.... This team sucked an egg out there and we're going to blame the guy who hasn't played yet this season til today....? Jeez.... -
Dumb Dick is now 0-8 against our own division going back to last year..... Think about that record of futility will you?
-
Also, on one of the long passes to TO, you can actually see him begin his throwing motion to Marshawn for ANOTHER F#CKING checkdown before Marshawn takes on a tackler and he has to throw it downfield. He's a coward. A spineless coward. And the whole team is starting to quit on our "Captain".
-
I'd like to know where C.Biscuit, the Big Cat and the rest of the Jauron apologists went to? I'd love to hear how this mess isn't his fault..... P.S. I'm officially done with Captain Checkdown. He couldn't even make it in the CFL.
-
Wow..."Captain Checkdown" has gone national....can't wait to see the opposing teams' fans jump all over that one.
-
Was that Trent's response? If it was, then I truly wonder if he has the backbone to be a leader on this team for the future.... Not to look much into one's comments but let's put this in a hockey perspective where the code of the "team" is much more sacred. Imagine if Darcy Tucker of the Leafs (I chose him because in terms of hockey hate, I have never hated a player on a hated team as much as him...) decides to come out and call Daniel Briere a cancer, a loser, etc... a) You know Drury will stick up for his teammate b) You know the rest of the team will enact justice on the ice. Either by pounding them on the ice or on the scoreboard. I would hope that Trent would defend his teammate better than the above quote and then I would hope that the Bills pummel the Pats either and/or on the scoreboard to give Harrison a colossal "FU" for bringing it up.
-
Great, GREAT observation John.... When Jauron's ability was being questioned, the so-called "leaders" of this team (Trent, Donte, etc.) were tripping over themselves to defend him. A scathing commentary about a teammate from a player of a hated division rival and nary a peep. Could this speak to TO's perception in the locker room or proof that this team lacks the strong character to defend its own?

Newsflash: The Bills roster is extremely thin

JauronBall™ ruining football for Bills fans since 2006.... -
Not quite getting this logic from AVP
Heels20X6 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's becoming glaringly apparent that Trent is unable to play against the 3-4. He struggles mightily against it and the chimps we have as head coaches can't seem to get his to learn to play against it. I don't know though if the 3-4 difficulty is on Trent, the coaches, or some combination of both. All I do know is that Trent SUCKS when the opposing team runs it. -

Some people prefer to stick their head in the sand and think that a leopard can change its spots.... -
I thought the same way about Singletary too. Just listening to his teammates speak of him from their days on the Bears, the man was born to coach. He effectively ran the defense in Chicago ON THE FIELD by how he read O formations on the spot and signaling it to his teammates. Alas, his is San Fran's blessing and they will enjoy a division win this year, the playoffs and the promise of continual improvement by the Samurai.... Sigh.....
-
As I was watching the Minnesota-49ers game they were talking about him and how he and Singletary are coaches cut from the same clothe (defensive-minded, love smash mouth football, except 100% from their players). I would be very pleased if we gave Leslie Frasier a chance. Plus he can teach the guys the Superbowl Shuffle!

Just a thought about missing Marshawn
Heels20X6 replied to folz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was thinking that exact same thing. It seems like NO did their film work on Freddie and were shutting down lanes quickly. Freddie is a finesse back so he was getting stopped up (and knicked up). I was wondering if having Marshawn there would have at least given those d-men a lickin'. Like tenderizing meat. P.S. Beauty and the Beast....that could be the best nickname for our running game yet! -
With the return of Lynch, we'll have the most dynamic running game in recent Bills history! . . . So of course, Dumb Dick will outthink himself and come up with a game plan that has Trent flinging 3 yard outs to Derek Fine on every down and overthrowing TO and Evans with one pass each in their direction. ...sigh....
