  1. ...sigh....someday that will be us. And you better believe we will put NO's celebration to shame!
  2. Wow. You hate Favre and Manning but look to Douchebag Tom and Phillip "The Mouth but can't back it up" Rivers as favs....? Wow.
  3. Because they were short yardage situations on account of the offense choosing plays to get them into that position. Last night was a perfect example of 'using what the defense gives you'. Manning and Brees would find the open receiver whether it was a yard in front of them or 10 yards down the field. They took the homerun when they had the shot (Manning to Collie for 40+) but didn't hesitate to throw 10 to 15 yards if they needed to down the center of the field. And unlike our woeful offense, the defense had to respect that Brees/Manning COULD go deep at any time for the homerun. With Trent running the Bills offense, that worry was never there and the team would just have to stack the field 10 yards in front of him.
  4. When Buffalo checks down the result is -2 to 4 yards and it's usually on 3rd and long. When Brees and Manning did it, it was on first or second down and was usually for 5-6 yards resulting in a 3rd and short - where checking down also makes sense. Captain Checkdown and the Bills "offense" deserves all the ridicule it got. And THEN SOME.
  5. AC/DC would be a great choice for the show. They're old and somewhat non-threatening, so they fit the NFL criteria and having just seem them last November, those geezers still rock out with their roosters out. Would actually make for a very, very HIGH energy half-time show. Except Hells Bells would be off the set list...and maybe Whole Lotta Rosie.
  6. I'll put this in "hip, internet lingo" that BillsNYC can understand. KD FTW!!! PWNED!!!

  8. I prefer Little Kiss
  9. We rag on them all the time but tonight in the Super Bowl, they did their job really well and let the game be decided on the field making the calls they had to. On the one challenge, they even made the right call when they easily could have stuck with the call on the field. Congrats to the crew.
  10. at what? being the most annoying personalities in the game? Joe Buck is the most pompous, self-absorbed announcer I have ever had to listen to. His mock indignation at Randy Moss pantomiming mooning the crowd in GB was just pathetic. And Aikman...too many concussions to actually make sense any more.
  11. How clutch was Garrett Hartley (the kicker) through the playoffs? Three 40+ yard kicks today - a Super Bowl record. Kid's got ice water running through his veins.
  12. If it pisses you off so much why are you signed up for his Twitter account to hear about his daily life? So you can get a rise out of anything he posts that isn't football-related? Give it a rest.
  13. Caldwell was very classy in defeat. I'm happy for the Saints, you know Manning and the Colts will be there again but this just felt like the only time the Saints will ever get this shot. Especially happy for Drew Brees! And especially thankful the idiots in Miami decided to take a pass on him for Dante Culpepper! Imagine facing tom Brady AND Drew Brees twice a year!?!
  14. BROHM! Welcome back BB! Just in time for the Super Bowl!
  15. Seriously...or to make it easier, just take your mouse to the top right corner of the page...there's a link there. Not trying to be rude, just that there are over a 1000 Sabre fans discussing every detail of the team over there. Including most of the people here. Not me though, I'm a Sens fan. Woot.
  16. Whatever you do...don't eat the brownies the townies offer you.
  17. GAWD! Just more proof that Wilson lied when he said he was going to clear the office out of underperformers! Her ability to get coffee first thing in the morning really screwed up the offensive game planning!
  18. Honestly, I thought after Connolly tied it up and you got the PP, the Sabres were going to score and complete the comeback. Inexplicably, your team fell apart and gave the Sens the best opportunities to score. And with a minute left, why was your 4th line on the ice against a mixture of the Sens top players (our coach shuffled the line and put on Alfie (1st line) with Fisher (2nd line) and Kelly (3rd). Did the shuffle confuse Ruff? As for bringing the nasty, I always think the balance of power shifted after the game with the infamous Neil hit on Drury. When Ruff responded by sending out Mair and Peters and having them go after Spezza and Heatley, that galvanized the Sens. They came out with a vengeance the next game in Ottawa and its been all Ottawa since.
  19. The Bills seem to be developing their front office and coaching staff around the Steelers model. THEY ARE TEH DUMB!!! RALPH IS CHEAP!! BLAH BLAH BLAH!
  20. Say what you will about the guy but he's always been a warrior.
  21. As the resident Sens fan in these here parts, I can tell you its gonna be a playoff-type atmosphere tonight. It's funny here in Ottawa, the team is 9-0 and our back-up Brian Elliott has been playing lights out but everyone is worried about when he returns back to Earth. No one seems to believe that this 9th round pick (the LAST pick in the draft) could be our goalie of the future. Sure, the Sens are on fire and seem to have B-LO's number, but hockey is a funny sport. I mean...even the Leafs won last night...
  22. I'm pleasantly surprised to see District 9 nominated for Best Picture. Well deserved in my opinion. Though 'Moon' didn't make the cut and neither did Sam Rockwell which makes me a Sad Panda..... Hurt Locker was film of the year.
  23. But hockey is weird in that its made up of those type of situations isn't it? Sens seem to have the Sabres number since they humiliated the Sens in the 2006 playoffs. Up until the 2007 run, the Sabres had destroyed the Sens, particularly in the playoffs. Sabres PWN the Leafs. The Leafs have dominated the Sens in the playoffs (fortunately, they won't get a sniff of them again until at least 2020) but in turn, the Leafs have always been thwarted by the Flyers, a team Ottawa has ceremoniously dumped numerous times. Frankly, I think the Sens and the Sabres are the two best TEAMS in the East right now. They don't have the talent to compete with Washington, Jersey or Pittsburgh, or even Boston, but the coaches Clouston and Ruff have them playing a system game that the teams have bought into. Needless to say Wednesday's game is going to have a playoff-like atmosphere. I'm hoping that Miller's performance against the Pens last night makes Ruff think about putting Lalime in. Sens know him all too well...
