  1. Well-played you SOB! You want to know what I think it means? It means not acting black enough that white people don't trust you or are outwardly hostile towards you. That's what it boils down to. To be a "brother" you have to be held down by whitey! If you're equal with whitey, in education, work, intellect, etc. then you ain't being held down!
  2. Considering most of those TDs were scored by the DEFENSE I'm not sure its the same as leaving Tommy in the game when they're up 40 and still calling pass plays. Or did you not notice Flynn playing when the game got out of hand?
  3. There's not much you can do...unfortunately, its come to a point in society where many black people judge the "blackness" of others by how "street" they are. The "gangsta rapper" lifestyle is celebrated while the "black man who works hard to achieve" is viewed with distrust and speculation.
  4. My apologies, I was working off a CNN witness who said she heard over 100 shots go off.
  5. Welcome to being a black man today... You see, as a man of color, who got educated, enunciates and generally don't wear my pants around my knees, I often get called a sellout or an "Uncle Tom" (not to be confused with being called a DC Tom - that's much worse). Cosby put it best - black society has degraded to the point that genuine success based on academic merit is frowned upon.
  6. You knew it was going to go in this direction though... I'm not one for gun control...people who want guns will get them. What I don't get is why is it so easy for people to get their hands on assault rifles and 100-round clips?!? There is protecting yourself and making yourself a one-man army. I just don't get it... All these tragedies seem to have some major killing machine and tons of ammo behind them... And what do we do now? Do we post a police officer in every school? I'm at a loss...this is so terrible...
  7. There's something positive a brewin' in Houston. Andre Johnson just dropped $30,000 of his own money to let underprivileged kids in the city go on a toy shopping spree.
  8. I hope this board meme never dies...
  9. 55,000 people coming out to see the Grey Cup says otherwise. People in Canada are football fans. Most I know will watch College, CFL and NFL because they love football. Many like the CFL because of national pride. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean people don't give a sh!! about it. Especially when the championship game draws about 2-3 million people in audience.
  10. And playing keepaway from Arlington would have just as humiliating to those girls as scoring points. Sorry, but at least by scoring points, Bloomington gave the ball back to Arlington so they could at least handle it. One of the posters broke down the scoring and it showed how few points Bloomington scored in the second half. Essentially, they turned the game into practice. If you want to blame anyone, blame Arlington for continually dressing a sh!tty girls basketball team. Apparently they always lose by these massive margins. If the program is that bad, find a league they're more suitable for.
  11. Please. The league is taking grief because Goodell went on an egotistical witch hunt on ONE team and ignored the fact that there were numerous teams doing the exact same thing. If the NFL cared about player safety, they'd have gone after everyone. I bet your bf Billy Belicheat has, or had, a bounty program just like it. I mean, the guy loves taping practices.
  12. This was what was "off" to me about Edwards. It never came off that he had any passion for the game whatsoever. You look at the greats now like Brady, Manning and even the kids like Luck and Griffin. They play each game with a furiousity that nothing will stop them achieve their goals. Edwards always took me as a guy who found out he was good at football but he didn't really love the game. It was a job to him. His interviews were melba toast and he never exuded any fire on the sidelines.
  13. Canadians apparently make up about 20% of Bills season ticket holders (most from the St. Catherines, Hamilton region). They want NOTHING to do with the Bills in Toronto series. Reason #1 - Tickets are overpriced. Reason #2 - No tailgating due to Canada's archaic laws on public drinking (which apparently is being pushed to change but too little to late). Why would any Canadian Bills fan pay more to have less of an experience when the real game day experience is 1 to 1.5 hours away?!? This peeves me off because it reflects poorly on us Canadian Bills fans, who suffer as much in watching this crappy team week-after-week as our American brethren but then have to hear about what lousy fans we are because we don't overpay to watch a game in a crappy dome.
  14. Guys! Guys! Let's focus here and get back to what jboy and DC Tom were inevitably going to turn this conversation to... Who'd you rather? Taylor Swift or Carly Rae Jepsen? Discuss.
  15. It's got the Nolan touch. I'm going to see it. And I'm going to love it. Because I love Superman.
  16. You mean like this:
  17. The one thing that impresses me about RG3 is his studious background (having two US sergeants for parents) tells me that as he gets older, he'll adapt and become a real student of the game. He takes me as the kind of guy who will watch hours of game tape and practice learning how to read defenses and make adjustments. I remember someone saying about RG3 last year - all the skills of Vick but with the passion of Peyton. That is one deadly combination if true. Good on the Redskins for taking a chance. If RG3 was doing what he is now in a Bills uniform, this board would have spontaneously combusted weeks ago from the internet orgasms he would have caused.
  18. Chan's comments have him moving into "doddering old fool" territory now. It's like the questions confuse him now and he seems lost.
  19. NO. He's a quitter. First and foremost.
  20. Heatley was not drunk. He passed his field sobriety tests. In his case, it was a young man driving recklessly in his new toy (brand new Ferrari) that caused the accident.
  21. Which idiot poster wanted us to trade Mario Williams for him again? Whoever that was should be perma-banned and steriled so as not to procreate.
  22. I would expect no less from a Seahawks fan...
  23. What? I don't get it. I happen to think he's stylish and well-dressed... BTW Here's my college yearbook photo:
  24. But in his head (and this is just an assumption), he had his built-in alibi with the history of house robberies he claimed, There's something very off about this story. The fact that pets from the neighborhood seem to go missing on his property is off-putting as well.
