  1. it shouldn't...it really shouldn't...because Tom said
  2. a hot tub party featuring every poster that has topped 10,000 posts, naturally, this party, with all the free flowing alcohol would devolve into
  3. He really isn't. He's sheltered by the backs that work around him. I watched him A LOT in the CFL. In a pass-happy league like that, he was average at best. I can only imagine him now with a few years of mileage on him.
  4. So...in other words, you really had no point but wanted to take the opportunity to defend the reputation of your boyhood crush Tom Brady?
  5. Incorrect. Even after ratting out Ol' Billy B Absentee (from the Super Bowl), Mangini still got the starting HC position in Cleveland and still works in the NFL as an offensive coordinatoor/QBs coach for the 49ers. He's no longer an HC because he's simply not good at it. Two stints showed that to be the case. Goes to show you that if their was an "unwritten rule" that you don't speak about cheating, no one cared that he broke it against Belichek.
  6. Do you like gladiator movies?
  7. As a moderator, I have found BB's reign to be less blood-sucked than that of Beerball's. Hail to our benevolent overlord!
  8. Kiko really, REALLY needs to learn when to not over-pursue his tackles.
  9. Or...possibly buying tickets to the game and supporting the Bills in a different field? I thought Bills fans traveled well? There were definitely Bills fans at the game but we were outnumbered by empty seats and casual fans just cheering against the Bills because it wasn't their team. There were maybe 20 ATL fans in the actual place. Half were wearing Vick jerseys. One thing I'll say and I'll leave it at that...if Bills fans were as great as they say they are, they'd fill up the Skydome, take advantage of it being indoors, and make a ton of noise that would be deafening in there. Instead, we whine about something we have no control over and then complain when we don't have home field advantage. It's not that long a drive. We can easily make the Skydome Bills Central ONCE a year. We choose not to.
  10. He's one of the "can't do wrong" types around here but I agree. He overpursued terribly twice leading to one huge run and one TD. He needs to show better patience in the gap.
  11. One of my favorite shows of all time. I loved the friendship between Turk and JD. Every time Carla said: "I wonder if he'll ever love me more than JD..." or some variation of it made me laugh every time. Their friendship was borderline homoerotic but it always felt genuine.
  12. He's not "revered" in Toronto. That's all media fluff created by the new President of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (half-owned by Rogers), Tim Leinweike. He just happened to be Bon Jovi's agent for x amount of years before getting this job. It actually made Leaf fans sick that he put Bon Jovi up into the rafters.
  13. Whatever suits your ill-informed crusade I guess. And look who's decided to join you. Judged by the company you keep... Where's DC Tom when you need him?
  14. Dude...dude. Really? I mean, really? Have you met the Buffalo Bills?
  15. No...this is Petty
  16. Montgomery claims they were cut for smoking cigars... https://twitter.com/taniaganguli/status/392374957063565312 Sure you were...what kind of tobaccy was in those cigars? Were they of the wacky variety?
  17. He's #1 in my heart.
  18. Another classic FireChan thread....
  19. And therein lies the hypocrisy of the NFL....THE SHIELD determines what charities are beneficial for them. As Big Cat pointed out, aligning with the Susan Komen foundation has ancillary benefits to the NFL. I have problems with the "Breast Cancer Awareness" campaign. To me, it's just an excuse for companies to shill pink products in the name of "awareness". Myself, I give my money directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, a foundation that aims for a cure and spends all its gains on research. The SGK Foundation to me seems 'unseemly" with some of what I've read on where the money goes. I've had family affected by cancer so I donate to the cause. And I don't have a problem with pink clothes. I wear pink all the time. In fact, pink was originally a "boys color" - http://www.omg-facts.com/History/In-Western-Culture-Pink-Was-The-Color-Or/13470 Also, I wish the NFL and other leagues would get on the MOVEMBER bandwagon. There are guys in the NHL who individually take part and gives players a chance to grow sweet Magnum PI dusters. Mens health is important too!
  20. Sorry, but Natives are actually fighting the NCAA to KEEP THE NAME of the Fighting Sioux, because they take pride in the name and it was the NCAA that forced the name change. http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/page/120307-Fighting%20Sioux/north-dakota-fighting-sioux-nickname-logo-center-dispute-state-ncaa-tribes
  21. You're completely avoiding the fact that he is AWFUL. Literally ANY street free agent is better than him. Legursky proved to be much better than him and they have McClain and Asper now up. Both those are better options than Colin "I suck at football" Brown. Seriously, this is the definition of "no-brainer".
  22. What's sad about all of this is that it's solely the name Native Americans have a problem with. They can keep the logo, colors, etc so why doesn't Snyder just sit down with Native American leaders and choose another name that would "honor" natives like he claims the "Redskins" name does? Washington Warriors, Washington Red Feathers, etc. For all of you crying this is PC B.S. I would like you to go up to a group of native peoples and call them Redskins to their faces. If you can't bring yourself to do it, then you know why this name is offensive. PC Liberalness has gone overboard at times (for example, the Bullets changing names to Wizards) but this is not one of those situations.
