  1. The strip sack he had yesterday said it all. The fact that he looked back to make sure he could go down without getting hurt was one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen from a QB. His play reminded me of the rich QB from the replacements. Too bad we didn't have a Johnny Falco to replace him with. Enjoy retirement, Captain No Heart.
  2. It's been that way since we signed Orton.
  3. The ONLY reason he had a winning record was because of the championship caliber defense the team had. Orton was, at best, a game manager, and at his worst (i.e. the last 6 games) a liability incapable of leading drives because he was more concerned about not getting hurt than he was winning football games. Good riddance.
  4. I'm not sure about that but when the Bills first were looking for a head coach, they sniffed around Cowher and he's the one who recommended to Nix hiring both Whaley and Chan Gailey. There may have been a connection between Buddy and Bill. I'm guessing if this lunch happened, it was probably set up by Whaley.
  5. I doubt it. Cowher has been pumping Whaley's tires for years now and the rumor goes that he personally recommended him for the assistant GM position here in Buffalo. Remember, they're tight from their Pittsburgh days and I fully believe any interest Cowher has in the Bills is because of the Whaley connection.
  6. First thing he'd do is keep Whaley. And I'd be ok with that. Cowher has spoken highly of Whaley often so he'd more than likely keep him and evaluate what to do with the coaching staff with Whaley's input.
  7. I've never actively rooted for a Bills player to fail before. Then we signed Kyle Orton. I'm not a fan of EJ but Orton is the biggest waste of a roster spot I've ever witnessed in all my years of cheering this team on. No heart, no passion, nothing. I want him to crash and burn in the most spectacular fashion on Sunday. I want to make sure their is NO allusion to this front office that he should be brought back to this team. I want him gone. I'd rather take my chances with Mark Sanchez than this loser.
  8. Eli might not be the greatest regular season QB, but unlike his brother, he comes alive come playoff time. He's like the goalie who does enough to get your team into the playoffs as the 8th seed then goes 'God Mode' and takes you to the Stanley Cup Finals. No chance they were going to let him go.
  9. For the life of me, I will never understand the hate that Spiller gets on these boards. Apart from being a high vanity pick of Buddy Nix, what has he done to spite Bills fans? Is it because he dared to take some touches away from local folk hero Fred Jackson? Because Jackson himself has zero issues with Spiller and considers him a close friend... Is it because he's forced to run behind a line better suited for a power back? Most teams, if drafting a smaller, cutting back would try and devise an offense around him, not force him to keep running up the middle where his size doesn't help him. What is it? He's always been a proud Bill and good to all the fans that meet with him. He's not Marshawn Lynch that way. Nor is he like Donte Whitner grossly overestimating himself in the media and demanding a high salary to boot. We don't even know what his salary demands are yet some here are throwing out astronomical numbers like it's a given that's what he'll ask for. I just don't get it. Spiller gets so much vitriol spewed at him and I have no idea why.
  10. This loser lost his starting job to Tim "I can't throw" Tebow. And yet our idiot of a head coach kept trotting him out in critical situations. Fire Hackett, Marrone and leave Orton in Oakland. Make Jim Schwartz the HC.
  11. We should have traded him for Skelton when we had the chance!
  12. Um...technically, the NBA has already internationally expanded when they put teams in Toronto and Vancouver. Vancouver should have worked but the NBA botched that up something fierce. Firstly, they should have gone to Montreal first not Vancouver.
  13. Since their new owner bought the franchise, everyone has assumed that this was his long play. To transfer the Jags to London. However, I will say he's tried his dangdest to get the Jags to be more popular in Jacksonville with the stadium renovations, ticket prices, etc. If he decides to move him, it's no one's fault but the people of Jacksonville.
  14. I have a lot of family in London....might be time to start planning a trip to visit them....
  15. I love Freddie, but these types of injuries are going to be more common with him. It's just a side-effect of age. As for Spiller, I have no idea why so many people on this board hate the guy. He's been a team player since he got here, has never said a bad word about Buffalo, and his only crime was being drafted here in the first round. I think he's got game-breaking ability and if our OC wasn't a mental midget, he'd take full advantage of it.
  16. I dunno, I'd love to have Brandon Marshall on this team. He's emotional but you can tell he bleeds for his team. I remember a game last year where he was practically playing on one leg and he still hauled in two TDs. He'd be a great veteran to have on this team to work opposite Watkins.
  17. And it's nice that neither pick is a bust. No Williams or Flowers pick that wasted it's position.
  18. We may have overpaid, but Watkins is a STUD. He's the first pick we've taken without any question marks. Personally, only him and Dareus have been game-changing players we've drafted in the first round in the last 10 years.
  19. This right here should end this thread. No one here "hates Orton" (maybe a select few do). But he's not the long-term answer at QB. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the win yesterday. It would just be really nice if we had an elite QB. Seems like almost every team has one now except us.
  20. I like Colt McCoy. Always thought he would be a very good back-up.
  21. Don't forget the Phantom pass interference call on Williams when Gronkowski just fell down. And the push-offs by Edelman and Gronkowski that extended drives. Anyone whining that these are excuses don't understand how football works.
  22. Is the OP trying to break a record for the most amount of threads that seem like they were started by a monkey working a keyboard in TBD history?
  23. It just blows me away that the refs took every chance to snuff out that last drive. It finally worked when we go into field goal range. Seriously, it was absolutely pathetic what the called.
  24. No conspiracy here...nope..not like there have been 4 phantom flags this game. 2 on our own drive... **** the NFL.
  25. I'm not saying we send a scrub out to blow out Walt Coleman's knee "by accident". But I'm also not, not saying it. **** these refs.
