  1. They definitely over-priced the tickets. As a Canadian fan in Ottawa with many friends in Toronto, the common comment I kept hearing prior to the seat sale was "why would I pay $175 for a ticket when I can drive to Buffalo and pay $30 for the same one? That, and I can actually TAIL GATE". I was one of the "lucky" winners of the early admission draw. As soon as I saw the prices I balked. It would cost my friends and I less in gas, hotel and beer/food to go to Buffalo and hang out with the faithful than it would just for tickets to hang out with the snobby "elite" in Toronto. Add it all up and you get what you get here. Fan APATHY to an expensive product. That and maybe stupid Toronto sports fans are just saving their cash so that they might be able to afford to go a Leafs game. Leafs suck.
  2. Say you were involved in this situation and it was your brother or a close cousin that was the driver...Would you "man up" and sell him out to the police especially knowing now that the woman wasn't severely injured? Some people place family over the law. It's easy to "make the right call" when it doesn't involve you remotely doesn't it? Can we all let the facts come out before we tar and feather him out of town? Or are we just trying to save on air fare and book a charter flight for all the Bills that we want to run out so they can fly out together? Yeesh..
  3. I prefer a coach who plays to win football games, not plays them to not lose them. His ultra-conservative game-planning strikes absolutely no fear in opposing coaches and barring that one 13-3 season as head coach of the Bears, Jauron has proven nothing other than a coach who can get you to mediocrity. I will say that few coaches prepare a team for game day like Jauron, he always had the boys ready to play and be competitive...but by the time the kick was off, the Bills went into a defense-first, keep-it-close plan that let us beat bad teams, and let us get thumped by good teams. What is the Bills record during Jauron's tenure against teams that are playoff-bound? That record speaks for itself... As for Trent, he's still green. I am hoping for a season where he gets steadily better and can actually play in cold weather.
  4. You suck. Get back to humping animals like your quote so proudly boasts... Signed it from Ottawa, Canada. Last year, the city rallied around a young boy named Elgin Fraser who passed away after a valiant battle against cancer. He was a huge Sens fan and took his last breath as the team won in OT to get to the Stanley Cup finals...it was a real tearjerker of a story. Players from the team were pall bearers.
  5. Here in Ottawa, I was playing softball and wearing a Bills cap...well this guy was chirping with me all game and finally made some crack about the Bills being losers and the team moving and I jumped him as he was rounding second and proceeded to hit him until the teams broke us up. I'm not even from Buffalo and I am very sensitive to people making light of a possible move. Seriously, I will fight over it.
  6. LOL! I'm hoping that's him after a summer at Barry Bond's Conditioning Camp! He'll definitely create some holes for Lynch to run through!
  7. Sorry....I even scanned looking for it....nuts.
  8. I personally enjoyed it when he and Gary Payton went over to a stacked Lakers team to try and get the elusive ring and still got knocked out of the playoffs...
  9. Yeah, I know he worked for the Raiders but he's got some nice things to say... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writ...ings/index.html 4. The Bills are a team to watch in 2008 Buffalo has been quiet but productive in the offseason. It made a trade adding Marcus Stroud to the defensive front, providing some much needed size. The Bills signed a versatile linebacker in Kawika Mitchell from the Giants. And in the draft they added top cornerback Leodis McKelvin, who will also help out in the return game, and big wide receiver James Hardy, who will complement speedsters Lee Evans and Roscoe Parrish. But what really makes the Bills' potential off the charts is the return of linebacker Paul Posluszny, among others, to the 53-man roster. Posluszny, a second-round pick in 2007, joined 11 other Bills last year on injured reserve. The Bills weren't all that far off last season, finishing 7-9 but playing hard in every game. You better believe the Patriots are paying attention. The Bills are healthy, they have added size to their defense and they keep adding players who impact the kicking game. With all the attention being paid to the Miami Dolphins' new regime and the Jets' spending in free agency, I think the Bills have flown under the hype radar in the AFC East and are in position to challenge for a playoff spot in 2008.
  10. Really, I thought Dick's strategy would be to play for par on every hole (even if he has a chance for a birdie or eagle) and hope that the rest of the golfers make mistakes and finish above par.
  11. Whew...for a second there I thought this story was going to go "Red Shoe Diaries" on us and end with a "Mile High" experience! Just kidding! Great story though. the older generation of footballs had it all. Class, toughness and a pure love of the game.
  12. Using the thesaurus to prove your intelligent just furthers my theory that you're a pompous windbag. It's fairly obvious to all that have posted here that you are a narcissistic, self-seeking, grandstanding troglodyte (see I can use big words too) that expected high-fives and cheers for his pathetic post and now has to go on the defensive because he's been embarrassed with the reaction he didn't expect.
  13. We're not talking marketing, we're talking about you giving yourself a verbal blow job because you think you showed up a young man making minimum wage trying to sell tickets to a team the rest of this city loves. I am so sick of reading posts from you pompous, over-bearing morons who claim they're doing us a favour by refusing to support a "sub-par" product in a small market because "they're sending a message" to Ralph Wilson. Ralph doesn't care what you think, I don't care what you think and the 80,000 faithful that show up every Sunday during the season sure as heck don't care what you think. I hear your message and all I'm hearing from you is "I'M A DOUCHEBAG" being screamed until somebody turns around and gives you the attention you so desperately crave for your empty 'cause'.
  14. How 'bout a HALLELUJAH!!! ?
  15. Westinghouse.... You got: CBS PWN3D!!!!!!! Now back to your regularly scheduled JP and Trent bashing....
  16. I went to Hamburger University.
  17. I loves me some Marshawn! Went out and bought an authentic Lynch jersey because he represents to me that fun-lovin', hard-playin' attitude that I love in an NFLer. And I fell in love with him that game against Denver, where he hard to run for a yard, he got clocked, lost his helmet but still pushed forward for that yard. What a glorious run!
  18. The Chroise is in all of us Beerball, look deep within and you can feel the power of Gilbert washing over you....
  19. PNW, you just got.... ...PWN3D!!! HAMDAN CHROISE STYLE BABEEEE!!!!
  20. I too would be happy with Huard backing up Trent this season. My only concern is how long would it take for the "Bench Trent, Start Damon" calls to be had?
  21. Wow. You don't have an agenda against Trent at all do you? Look, for better or worse, Trent is our new starting QB, how about we not do like the Losman-Haters did and throw him under the bus before the season even starts? I'll give him 7 starts this season before I make an evaluation on him. If he's great, that's great for Bills fans. If he's not...well, let's not think about that shall we....?
  22. Don't you mean 'Shaun Hill'? I think he's the front-runner to be the starter next year. He's the Trent Edwards to Alex Smith's JP Losman in their fans' eyes.
  23. Carolina...playoff contender...? Really?
  24. What about a team like the Toronto Maple Leafs? The very definition of mediocre, yet they sell out every game, every night, year after year on the promise of hope. Why can't the Bills have fans like that??
  25. What some people forget is that Harper played a few seasons for the Hamilton Ti-Cats so he'd be used to weather and climate of playing in Buffalo. I think he'd be a good fit.
