And ol' Dicky Boy would be at his press conference talking about how "we just didn't execute today. Or last week. Or the week before. But I've got to find a way to get this team winning again...."
-
You're not alone.... Though there are still some on this board who for some reason, despite statistics, history and general perception on the sidelines, still think Jauron is a good head coach. If anything, it's got me worried that the team got to 5-1 IN SPITE of Dick J's mellow-yellow Small-ball game-planning. It's like the first 6 weeks, Dick Jauron let his coaches actually call the shots which could explain why we were winning and maybe he's taken over control on the sidelines. Because this team is playing eerily reminiscent of itself last year.

Love the team win or lose, better or for worse.... Still doesn't take away the fact that this team in three weeks has gone from toast of the town to just plain toast with no butter. It hurts as a fan to get so excited about a winning season and be kept up at night thinking your team is might be in that 10% that start off 5-1 and NOT make the playoffs.... Being a fan hurts.

Yeah well, that Niners team played with a lot more heart, grit and determination against a division rival, on the road, in a very tough situation. Much more than our merry band of feet-shufflers this weekend. If anyone thinks the Niners is an easy win, watch this football game and tell me our O-Line can hold up against their rush, or keep Frank Gore from running all over us, or even get Shaun Hill to hurry up a throw.... Niner fans can at least have some pride that they had the chance to win the game....we got nothing from our team Sunday.

My feeling is this, and this is just my opinion as I have no say in what happens at OBD, but if Jauron doesn't coach this team into the playoffs by season's end, then I would like the team to head in another direction. Is it fair to say with the talent that we have and the opportunity in front of us with the Patriots, Colts and Steelers not looking nearly as dangerous as they have the previous two years, that the table is set for Jauron to get this team into playoff contention? Anything short of the playoffs and Jauron as a coach cements his image to me of a perennial loser.

Three straight crucial losses to divisional opponents would be one. The inability of the team to win important games would be another. How about his inability to win challenges? (or in the case this week, even challenge properly?) One could point to how ill-prepared the team was this week and compare it to past performances and wonder "why is this team never up for big games?" The evidence against Jauron is pretty damning. Say what you will about overachieving, but maybe from a personnel standpoint, why are our players so injury prone? And where is the depth that teams like Pittsburgh, NE, the NYG, have that when a key injury happens, they aren't crippled from the loss? It all comes back to personnel. These are very trying times for Bills fans. I for one, hate the timid, conservative style of football the team plays. If we are going to lose, at least lets go out swinging. Not meekly walking off the field with our tail between our legs. Look at KC yesterday or Seattle. They lost, but they could walk off the fields proudly, knowing they gave it their all out there. But hey, we just have problems "executing" right Dick?

No, but he is responsible for playing the players that turned the ball over 12 times, and he's responsible for the coaches who are supposed to work on improving the run game. The fact that turnovers and the ineptitude of the run game has been an issue three straight weeks now tells me the coach isn't doing nearly enough to address the issues on this team.

I'd like to throw my hat in for scouting. That way I can get paid to travel round the country and study safeties and corners to pick in the first three rounds of every draft.

Signed it!

And that my friend, is the rub! If the Bills scratched and clawed their way to 5-4, winning one, then losing one, etc. to get to where we are today, then no one would be too disappointed to see how the season is going. HOWEVER, we started 4-0, then 5-1, which means that maybe our low expectations were too low and this team revealed that they had the TALENT to win games. Now, they've crashed down to earth horribly, losing three straight against average division opponents. That is a sign of BAD COACHING. The expectations have changed since they went 5-1. I'm not lowering them now after seeing what the team could do. If we don't make the playoffs now, the Bills will be one of the biggest jokes in NFL history. Remember when the Lions started 6-2 and then bottomed out? I'm going to kept up at night thinking our franchise is no better than theirs if we do the same as then.

You don't get it do you? They CAN'T open the dome because they don't have a system in place to handle snow. This petition is as useless as asking Ralph Wilson to close the dome at Buffalo's stadium. IT'S NOT POSSIBLE. As for the game, it will be 80% Bills fans. Toronto is majority of Bills fans, as well as most of southern Ontario (like Hamilton and Ottawa). I don't know any Fins fans myself because frankly, they've sucked serious arse since Marino left so the fans have bailed. It's not like people in TO can drive 1.5 hours to a Fins game.

Turn this into a "Fire Dick Jauron" petition and I'll sign. They can play in Cancun or the f#cking Artic Circle but with Dick coaching this team, we're already 14 point underdogs.

Dick Jauron Was A Loser In Chicago
Heels20X6 replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I swear if I read one more soundbite from him about the team not "executing well", I'm going to execute him! WELL! -
Honestly...I'm beginning to wonder the same thing. At the beginning of the season, Turk was a "fresh of breath air" (Royal joke) and the offense honestly seemed to open up. Now, it's back to small ball. Dink and dunk. Play not to lose. I recall that Fairchild was also the same way two seasons ago...then last season he stunk it up something fierce. Maybe Dick does have too much a say in the offensive scheme. It just doesn't make sense....

Let me preface that I was impressed the way the team played thru injury. That being said, Jauron's record in big games or against teams with a winning percentage is terrible. Absolutely terrible.

Dick Jauron Was A Loser In Chicago
Heels20X6 replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have a friend who plays in Chicago...his words on Jauron: "Nice guy but not a winner". He said the difference between him and Lovie was night and day. Sure Lovie's made some bone-headed decisions with his QB selection but is there anyone here who can tell me that the Bears don't show up to play every week? For f#ck sakes, he got them to the SB with REX GROSSMAN as his QB?!? And yet with arguably two talented QBs in Edwards and Losman, Jauron can't do sh--!!!! This team has talent, Jauron and his band of losers just cannot harness it. I fully believe under a great coach like Jeff Fisher or Bill Cowher, this team would be perennial winners. -
We will win the next three games...

So true KOK...so true... my heart weeps for this team... Who needs Jeff Fisher and his ability to make scrubs look like superstars when you can Dick and be content with being in the game? -
Folks, we really just don't have much talent
Heels20X6 replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would like to see any of the pro-Jauron crowd tell me that a better coach like Fisher, Belichek or John Fox would be at 5-4 right now. Our coaching staff is outright embarassing and their terrible coaching is what is derailing this team and stripping it of its identity and confidence. I'd hate to say it, but maybe the Bills need to have a monumental collapse before ol' Mr. Wilson decides he's had enough of Dick Jauron's Small Ball Incorporated™. Sadly, even if the Bills were to finish 5-11, I don't see Ralph absorbing 3 years of his contract. What a horribly bone-headed decision it was to extend this guy. And I hate to say it...but maybe Fairchild wasn't the problem after all. -
Or running a pitch toss on 3rd and goal from the 7.....

With "Stone Cold" Dicky J on our sidelines, we best be preparing for such an outcome.... ..... ..... ..... For three more F#CKING YEARS. I bite my thumb at thee, Jauron supporters! Could be the worst signing in franchise history. -
This exact statement should be tattooed on Ralph Wilson's @ss so that when Dick is down there kissing it for another 6 year extension he can read it and see what we fans really think of his bland, put-me-to-sleep offense.
-
Jeff Fisher is about 500 times the coach that Dick Jauron is. Fisher has his players believing they can win games. Jauron has our team playing with no confidence because his mantra is "okay guys, let's keep it close and don't make any mistakes...we'll win it with a last second field goal!". A Loser Coach turning a team into losers... Where's e-ball to place Dick on his pedestal and calling us out for not bowing down in awe of his greatness? I HATE JAURON.
-
Would he be a significant upgrade over what we have now? Absolutely. If you can get him, you get him. I could care less about "character" players anymore. Character hasn't got us any Super Bowls or even a freakin' playoff spot in 10+ years. Maybe this team needs some "characters" to find an identity.
