  1. When you pump fake, it's hard to keep confident.
  2. Apart from tight end, I actually think Trent has MORE talent to work with at RB and WR. Just shows how a essential a QB with the courage to stand in and make plays is to a team. Trent isn't that QB. After watching Rodgers under siege all game and still managing to throw over 350 yards and two INTS despite having one of the greatest DEs (J. Allen) driving him to the ground 5 times, I realized that true #1 QBs can play in the face of adversity. Rodgers ate dirt, dusted himself off and made plays. Trent in that same situation would implode, run to the sidelines, fix his hair and start texting his bff mid-game that he wanted to go home.
  3. Well....now we know who told San Francisco to draft Alex Smith....
  4. These games are still played on a surface conducive to being able to bring the skills they attain to the real field. I love street hockey as much as the next guy but the ice surface is what distinguishes the game from every other sport in the world. Sure kids in the south can play street hockey but just playing street hockey makes it very hard for kids to relate to the stars of the game. Kids want to emulate their favorite athletes as much as possible and not being to skate or getting access to ice makes that very difficult.
  5. And whose decisions over the past four years have placed us in a situation with such weak depth at key positions?
  6. Great post! This team has no identity. Unless that identity is the inability to beat good teams and make fools of yourself on a national level.
  7. Voted! And we're at 1600+ votes. What's sad is almost 50 people still think he's doing a good job....must be Big Cat, C.Biscuit, Trent and 45 Browns fans.
  8. It seemed just like the time I went to the bakery and got myself some true French pastries called "Choco-lat Dipurrs". I couldn't believe that a delicacy I found in Parisian desert shops had made their way to North America!
  9. On the same note... http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Canada/2009/10...1306676-cp.html Darwinism at its finest....
  10. He's about half-right when it comes to the sports acceptance. The reason hockey is so big in Canada and the northern states is that its ingrained in our culture as a winter activity. When its cold enough out, every kid in that region rushes to a pond or an outdoor rink and plays hockey til the sun goes down (or even longer if the rink is lit). In the southern US, where is a kid going to play the game without having the money and resources to afford playing at one of the two or three rinks their city has? My job was thinking about sending me to San Fran to work there. I looked up the price of hockey registration for myself and it came to $2000! For ONE SEASON. I pay that much here in Ottawa for two years of year-round hockey!
  11. The problem with a majority of the Trent "fans" on this board was they became obsessed with having to prove how great Trent was. The reality was these same Trent fans were very much against JP Losman and wanted to prove the JP supporters how silly they were in backing him up all these years. To make sure that they never faltered in questioning JP's ability, they made sure to feverishly defend Trent against anyone who dared question his abilities. Sadly, there were a handful of us who believe NEITHER QB was going to be the long term answer. Especially after Trent starting sucking it up down the stretch last year.
  12. C. Biscuit, The Big Cat, Trent Edwards and Donte Whitner. That's all I got....
  13. Is "conservative" a condition? I think they can only play in a condition that matches how Dick likes everything in life: "Mild".
  14. You know, I actually yelled at my dad yesterday "Why couldn't you have been a g@#$#@n Steelers fan?!?" Forcing your children to be Bills fans should be considered child abuse.
  15. I cancelled my trip to the game this year and sold my tickets on eBay. I love this team but with how much money I have and uncertain job security, going down to see this terrible team and spending $700+ to do so just isn't worth it. I am looking forward to the San Fran office taking me to the Bears-Niners game on Thanksgiving though. So I will get to see what good football looks like this year.
  16. Is he available? Maybe we can get him and John Beck? Both are smart, play-it-safe QBs right?
  17. Sweet Jeebus, I didn't even think of that.... I think the Fitzpatrick Era is about to start soon.....
  18. Remember that they didn't have a mental midget as a HC too. Tomlin instilled passion into his team. He instilled accountability. His players play for him but they give 100% or they get it from him. Dicky J just hopes his guys "try their best" and its milk and cookies after the game win or lose. Tomlin also surrounds himself with one of the best coaching staffs in the game, using EXPERIENCED coordinators like Lebeau instead of "promoting from within" like our mess of an organization. The Steelers are what the Bills should be.
  19. I recall many who harped on this stupid point. As if Trent Edwards is better than Jay Cutler. Cutler has one thing Trent will NEVER have. Guts. Jay throws a pick and he shakes it off and starts slinging again. Trent throws a pick, runs to the sideline, pops in My Chemical Romance on his iPod and has a good cry. Cutler is play and demeanor reminds me more of Jim Kelly than any QB in the league.
  20. Maybe he finally steps away from football operations....?
  21. I'm willing to see what the baked potato can do in a hurry-up offense, the only downside is that it pushes Hamdan to #4 on the depth chart. How good is the potato's situational awareness? And what kind of chemistry does it have with our WRs?
  22. Let's ignore the 43 yards he got on 5 passes though with some of those passes happening behind the line of scrimmage.... This team sucked an egg out there and we're going to blame the guy who hasn't played yet this season til today....? Jeez....
  23. Dumb Dick is now 0-8 against our own division going back to last year..... Think about that record of futility will you?
  24. Also, on one of the long passes to TO, you can actually see him begin his throwing motion to Marshawn for ANOTHER F#CKING checkdown before Marshawn takes on a tackler and he has to throw it downfield. He's a coward. A spineless coward. And the whole team is starting to quit on our "Captain".
