WHERE ARE THE SLANTS?!?!? Notice I said SLANTS as in plural. Trying ONE yesterday for the first time this season goes to show you how poor our entire offense really is.

After all that's happened in that city and the mediocrity that they've experienced over the years...they deserve success... So...when's our turn....?

I think Edwards is good but far from great in the first two games. As some have pointed out, he needs to anticipate where his receivers are going and get the ball there. He needs to trust his receivers more too. He relies too much on the checkdown and the stationary pass 5-8 yards down the field. He needs to work on: a) accuracy on his deep ball b) hitting his receivers in stride c) working the deeper portion of the field (reliance on just deep balls right now...he needs to get the ball 15-20 yards down)

Honestly, I was a little disappointed the Saints went to the run so quickly. Frankly, I love watching Brees just light up the scoreboard through the air. I get personal happiness that each TD he scores makes AJ Smith die a little on the inside. I'll always like Brees. The guy was almost vilified and tarred and feathered for the way he played on a sub-par Chargers team. They draft his replacement and the light switch goes off and he tears it up. Hmmm.....maybe that's what we need to do for Trent. Draft another QB and see if that p!sses him off?

Shouldn't you be extrapolating Trent's stats from last night and tell us how much better he is than Brady?

Their losses are also against teams with winning records so I guess they're just like Jauron....

Which goes back to BillsVet's points about the dysfunctionality of the front office. Deep in my heart, I know that Brandon was pleading with Ralph and the Circle Jerks to can Jauron. Aside from the football perspective, the MARKETING perspective would be that Dick would be an incredibly hard sell to fans tired of mediocrity. Ralph chose continuity and let Brandon sign TO as a way to help sell tickets. That's just my opinion though... And you're right. Scott Pioli started in the Pats system as a mail clerk I believe.

Ask yourself this question: What would be this team's record if we had Mike Tomlin & his staff, Fisher and his staff or Belichek and his staff? Are you trying to tell me that we don't have the talent to be even a fringe playoff team with a better coaching staff? Yes, this team has problems but so does every team in the NFL. Great coaches hide those weaknesses and build on their strengths. Our coach decides to put square pegs in round holes and drafts DBs only to have them play 20 yards back from the LOS in a Tampa 2 prevent....

Their secondary is very suspect and can get burnt by big plays very easily. Unfortunately, Trent can't throw a ball more than 4.5 yards to Slow-as-Molasses Fine so I see the Fins with Ronnie and Rickie running roughshod all over the Bills line until they scream "No Mas!" and proceed to give up 4 rushing TDs in the 4th. Miami 31 Bills 10 (Moorman with the one TD pass).

It's easy yards!! That's what I find so baffling is that we don't use them with Evans and Owens as our receivers (or even Parrish). I remember last year in Dallas, TO was constantly used in slant plays and he would take a 5 yard slant and turn it into 30 or 40 yards. Trent looks like he doesn't have balls because the play-calling is setting him up to fail. AVP did no favours to Trent today and vice-versa.

Yeah! Moorman was awesome! I mean consider this: He is 2-for-2 in passing with TDs both times. We already have the QB of the future and his name is Moorman. His one pass was longer than any Trent completed!

My faith is Trent is falling fast....I thought we were seeing gradual improvement and today was classic Capt. Checkdown. His decision-making and short throws were like the worst of JP and Holcomb combined. It was THAT horrifying. That being said, the O-line was atrocious as well. Did Haumgartner forget how to snap the ball?!?! Just an awful, awful game for the O.

What do you think the Jets' D is going to do to us....? Consider the honeymoon OVER. I love how some people were ready to give Jauron another 3-year deal off one win against a horrendous TB team. Face it. He's a loser who can't beat good teams.

Trent's having a horrendous day and has gone into a phone booth and turned into Captain Checkdown again. Mr. Electricity Roscoe Parrish is proving his worthlessness with each game.... It's absolutely criminal that in an offense that has TO and Evans, we've thrown to each once.... D deserves MONSTER RECOGNITION for playing the way the have for as long as they have been on the field. I see the Saints starting to carve them up because they're tired and the offense can't do jack.
