  1. This will be Brandon's defining moment. He knows he is low man on the totem pole in the AFC East with Belicheck and the Tuna getting all the love. I think he makes a play for TO. Even getting him to come and tour the facilities would have Brandon all over ESPN.
  2. A lot of teams do that. Hopefully, the hole we created with Dockery is filled by a draft pick. One way to get a lineman drafted. One can hope............
  3. Didn't Modrak bring him to Philly? Brandon is a marketing wiz. This thing might have wheels. Who needs Coles? Let's go for it.
  4. I have to admit it would make things interesting around here and it would be a complete flip to the homogonized atmosphere Dick Jauron has created. First sign a guard then bring in TO.
  5. He would't have to worry about the QB favoring the TE in our offense.
  6. Holt, Drew Bennett or Demetrius Williams. Bennett is never healthy but had a few good years. Holt is going to be expensive.
  7. I like all the USC guys. I see DE and TE with the first two picks follwed by BPA maybe Oline depth and of course a cb by round 4.
  8. Tim: Last season the Bills were a different team once Edwards lost his confidence to look downfield on passing plays. Are the Bills doing anything specific in the offseason to work with Trent Edwards to relax in the pocket and view his options rather having panic attacks in the pocket and checking down too soon. All the other moves they are making will mean little if he cannot regain his poise in the pocket.
  9. Pay the guy and let's move on. After what we dumped on Dockery, paying Peters is a no-brainer. It is one of the hardest positions to replace if we let him leave.
  10. Why not? He can play, if the price is right, go get him.
  11. No way is Tuck on the block, Robbins is the likely guy available.
  12. I hope he is gone so Russ and the boys pick a playmaker on defense. Defensive front 7 or Oline/TE has to be the focus with the first 3 picks.
  13. Look at a youtube clip of Bowen and I think fears of his size will disappear. He is a physical football player, a hitter. Bowen will not fit in Fewell's defense because he is not a finesse player. We need toughness and Bowen has it.
  14. They have plenty of cap space to sign a veteran guard who has played the position rather than converting a tackle. The guards have to be able to move out and block lb's against a 3-4. Dockery wasn't good at it and I doubt a tackle is good at it. I agree, they should always be stockpiling and developing talent on both lines.
  15. Today's NFL requires the player and the salary to be a fit and in Dockery's case he never lived up to that contract. Run blocking for him was a standoff at best. I trust the professional's breaking down the film would not have dumped him if he was our "best lineman".
  16. Per this site, Geoff Hangartner and Kendall Simmons are apparently in Buffalo's plans. http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/2009/0...fl-day-2-scoop/
  17. My understanding is Owen Daniels is a restricted Free Agent and to sign him we would give up two picks. Maybe I am wrong. If he is an unrestricted FE, then I would not be concerned. The team needs to be built for the weather conditions. Good lines are important.
  18. The teams lacks toughness. To burn two picks on a TE is absurd. Last season we were only offering a #2 for Tony Gonzales, now we will give two picks and a huge salary for a lesser player. Trent Edwards barely looks downfield as he has guys in his face and makes decisions under panic. Fixing the line should be priority one not finding another "weapon" at that price. Coffman, Pettigrew, Nelson or Casey would all look good out there. Raji, Mack or Cushing with a TE in the second would help the team as much as Daniels.
  19. Jax lost three starting offensive lineman for the season by September last year. I wouldn't be so quick to bury Taylor, he was lights out in 2007. I think he could be a veteran leader who could show Lynch how a pro should carry himself. He also could show #23 how to catch those swing passes he tends to drop.
  20. Herman Johnson will not go at #11. Like the Robiske pick, he will be a good pro not a superstar but solid. Brace will not last until the 5th round.
  21. Maclin seems like the guy who will blow away the combine type workouts. He will go high but I don't see it being the best choice for the Bills. We need to target toughness, toughness and toughness. Strengthen the front 7 on D, fix the interior line on O and worry about the finesse picks another year. By the way, Tyson Jackson is a great football player and not a reach at all at 18.
  22. "There is no set formula for winning in this league. Experienced guys win, young guys win, screamers win, sedate, controlled guys wins. Its about getting everything to come together and getting lucky with a few draft picks or free agent signings".
