  1. He got knocked on his tail a few times Saturday night. I have not noticed his presence as much as the writer.
  2. Time will tell with this story. Schobel plays 100% and has to at his size. At his salary, it would have been nice to know this in March so the team could have allocated that money elsewhere.
  3. One pass to Parrish was after TE stared him down then threw to his back shoulder where it was batted away. That one was not Roscoe's fault. He has never been much of a weapon on O. Let him be the return guy.
  4. Ellison seems motivated. We need lb's so Buggs would help. #54 can play too.
  5. Actually, after rewatching the game, our rb's missing or not sustaining blocks caused a lot of Edwards problems last night. I don't get how our lineman let blitzers go for the rb's. A complete mismatch.
  6. 6 yards? Our lb's are 6 yards back, Whitner is more like 20. Oddly enough the middle of the field is open all night.
  7. Pepper Johnson will get some interviews as well. Fits Ralph's price tag.
  8. Tackling is bad in open space; draws and swing passes. #31 Byrd side stepped a tackle last night that led to a 30 yard play. Poz and Ellison seemed to be ttackling better this year. Whitner is no force against the run.
  9. I was impressed. He has only been there a week. He has some talent.
  10. Even coming back on the field at halftime, Lynch was clowning around in the background during Catalano's interview. I would say oh well it's just preseason but he was part of a unit that got whipped the whole first half.
  11. Maybin does have some pass rush skills. I was expecting more of a quick step off the edge but he appeared tenative last night. I do think he will make a difference. If Schoble has anything left, we might generate some pressure.
  12. Jauron is a lousy coach. I am hard pressed to believe Haslett could be worse. There will be many options available next year. If Ralph wants to spend, he will have no problem getting a proven winner like Shany, Cowher or Billick. More likely is the retread pile like Morningwig or Ken Venturi.
  13. This is a valid question. The way Jauron plays for three points anyway, why in the world would we run a no huddle. It would probably help the young lineman to be in a huddle as well.
  14. I disagree. Hell, they feature the Bills camp daily. Sal and Leo do good work. I think their shared column is a waste, I never bother reading that but the rest of their Bills coverage is super. Time Warner covers them well too on Channel 26.
  15. I agree completely. Bell should get a try at LT, Walker is going to be avg at best on the left. Bell is getting reps on the right side maybe the left is the better answer. I think the short passes are the scheme Turk wants due to the bad line, when that isn't there, GB exposed the result.
  16. In this make believe exercise, I would take Cowher due to his Northeast style of play. More likely would be Mike Nolan or Marty Moningwig, they would come cheap, be easily controlled and we would not be competing with anyone for their services.
  17. I have the same concern. Take away Trent's quick pass and he looks completely confused.
  18. The scary thing I see just ike last year is not one of our front four draws a double team, they get taken out man on man which gives the QB all day to throw. Mitchell takes horrible angles on the sweeps. I thought Poz and Scott looked ok last night.
  19. #54 Harris was stellar, he will contribute somewhere. McCargo looked ok to me. Oman had some moments. Rhodes ran well though his whiffed block almost got the QB killed. My biggest concern is that it all looked just like the end of last year which is scary. If we are looking to lead the league in 3 yard completions we are well on our way.
  20. Schobel looked mediocre last night but I think he may be helped when they start running stunts instead of him going face up on the LT. Let's hope Maybin adds something. GB ran right at Kelsay multiple times.
  21. Nelson has very obvious talent and will be hard to keep off the field. Stupar knows how to get open and makes plays. Schoman and Fine are good for the 4 yard catch off the boot leg. One of the tight ends has to be a good blocker and help on special teams so I would keep the better of Schoman or Fine in that regard.
  22. I would agree Schobel looked slow. Harris is in, Fine dropped an easy pass. Nelson will get some touches.
  23. First and goal throw to flat for FB? Turk is in midseason form.
  24. #54 Harris is a player. He is in on every play. Rest of the backups look pretty bad last series.
