  1. Third and forever, a screen play with TO as the primary blocker. I know it's a throwaway down there but that play has no chance.
  2. McCargo made a play. First one of year I believe.
  3. Charlie is pass happy. Throws in third/fourth and short consistantly. He will go to NE or take a year off and let ND pay him. Not sure they fire him anyway. He has improved recruiting tremendously.
  4. Rock bottom is not a neccessity but if you are there it helps to be alone and don't miss on the picks. We are rock bottom and yet 5 other teams are right there with us. Imagine being this bad and not picking top 5.
  5. Probably correct. RW is from an insurance backgound and lives in Grosse Pointe. I am he has recd some good planning advice.
  6. The only way Ralph is getting a big name like Carrucci says is complete control and a lotta money. So color me a skeptic on Carrucci's story. Assuming RW joins the 20th century and hires a real coach: A modern day offensive coordinator, schemes to create mismatches in the passing game, perhaps runs a few pick plays like the real teams do, perhaps we get a guy some other team might want too Step 2: Goodbye Cover 2 - It's a let's keep the game close defense, see the Steelers or Broncos for agressive defensive technique As for personnel, get a real left OT, enough with the experiments, this is pro football, QB is needed too
  7. It's all about timing. If the boneheaded move to extend Jauron wasn't done, maybe RW hires him. Ralph's reputation for meddling is going to ward off most candidates. Marty would make Buffalo a better team immediately. He actually has one a game or two. Jauron is is the mix with Kotite for the worst ever.
  8. I think Wood will be an all pro. It would be interesting watch our interior three with decent tackles. I guess we look at this year as a development year for the young guys. Merideth shows some flashes. Bell is a complete train wreck. LT will have to be addressed in the offseason and a real blocking TE would help too rather than the H-Back types we being in.
  9. I have a hunch TO wanted to stay. Days off/light practices no accountability for performance. It's easy playing for DJ.
  10. Good grief, the guy is a gunslinger. I would take him over anyone we have in a heartbeat. Cutler will be just fine. Edwards is a backup on most NFL teams.
  11. http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/articl...f2nOcgD9BU1LB80
  12. I think Vick would be an immediate upgrade over Edwards. He can move which helps with no offensive line. He has a strong arm for our windy stadium. It is one draft pick not burned on a QB but rather on an offensive or defensive lineman.
  13. Why would this have any effect on the Bills locker room. These guys have seen enough games to know its true. I am not as concerned about the seperation Owens gets as much as his stone hands. Even Bills fans would find it hard to argue with Rosenhaus' points, no matter how much self-interest he has in the reasons. (We do wonder how these comments will be received, though, if they make it to the Bills locker room.) Lee Evans is a quality vertical threat in the middle of his prime, and only has 50 yards and two touchdowns more than Owens for many of the same reasons above. T.O. is clearly not the dominant force he was in the past; he's not a top-ten wideout and doesn't seperate from defenders like he used to. But it's hard to tell just how how far Owens has declined because of the situation around him.
  14. We have some of the most inaccurate third down throws in league history and many are thrown short of the sticks anyway so we have no chance to convert.
  15. I am no fan of his antics on or off the field, but let's be real, he is a great football player. He built his career hammering people and winning fottball games.
  16. Why keep a veteran inactive? Release him if we don't use him.
  17. I am all for it. He did show in preseason that he will throw it downfield and throws it to a spot and lets the receiver run to it unlike Edwards. Why the hell not ?
  18. Great article though I have to believe his father has provided some career guidance and what traps to avoid. Say for instance, avoid a meddling owner who takes guidance from his accountant rather than his GM.
  19. I like to watch Parcells rebuild. He would blow this up quickly. He would trade skill position players for picks to rebuild the lines. I am guesing he would trade the likes of McKelvin and Whitner for whatever he could get. A real LT would help this team a lot. A DT who can hold the point of attack. Schemes and decision making would be as much of a help as talent. Schottenheimer, Jr., Pepper Johnson, Mike Zimmer...........anyone would beat this nonsense we get from Jauron.
  20. Too Funny 9) There is no valid reason to keep Jauron. He never could coach, but he now looks like he is nearing a mental breakdown. Don't want that, ya know? They might have to put him in a treatment room with big posters of college defensive backs on the wall as part of his therapy.
  21. Amen to this post. Melvin Fowler was a turnstile.
  22. Locker will not be the top pick. Arthur Jones will be a great pro as will Cody. This team needs big guys.
