  1. Herm Edwards? Scraping the bottom? Jim Mora Jr. or Mike Nolan make more sense.
  2. 70,000 screaming fans showering you with support week in and week out. A decent paycheck. There are only 32 of these kind of jobs out there.
  3. Great post. I have been curious about the best strategy to take as well. If they determine there is a QB to build around at 9, do you take him or do you complete the Oline once and for all. You cannot win consistantly without a good QB. I think the team is more than a one year rebuild, so I would take the QB now and let him be groomed. One possibility would be to use Levitre at LT and let Hangman, Wood and Incognito man the middle. Butler remains the RT. The big question is can they remain healthy. As for defense, I would target a LB in free agency and draft one along with a DT. The team has so many holes at major positions.
  4. High pick in a deep draft? I'm trying.
  5. Frank Reich - January 3, 1993 - provided a moment for the ages Joe Delamelliure - rock solid Bruce Smith- best defensive talent in team history
  6. Grimm might be the best fit for building a Western NY style team.
  7. I thought Schuman was on his way to a great year prior to the injury. Shawn Nelson showed some flashes. TE is not a bare cupboard.
  8. A collection of misfits like no other.
  9. Brandon is on way over his head with guys like Cowher and Shanny. Let's face it decisions like this are not made by the Russ Brandon's of the world. Cowher is too big for him. Look for a green coordinator who comes cheap.
  10. Nailed it. Brandon and Ralph are strolling through Tiffany's on their way to the Dollar Store.
  11. Young is huge but a poor pass blocker. Powe all day there and he never lasts until the 4th.
  12. Teams need stars. Pick the most likely to be a difference maker at that spot. Clausen will be gone by 9.
  13. Agree completely, Cowher would be a great hire but if he isn't coming Billick is not a bad fallback. He had a winning percentage of .700 before his final year at Baltimore. He was Vikings OC during some successful offensive years. His teams have won with a passing offense and a running offense when he had no QB.
  14. Thurman and Kelly seemed to be hardly able to hold some information at Nix's introduction. I can't imagine it was to Ron Rivera coming to town.
  15. One of my favorite Billick moments giving Rodney Harrison some love. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVbDQF8m1-4
  16. How about OT, DT and LB. It we don't take a top QB, no point in burning a #2 pick at that position. Draft big people.
  17. Caught the same thing. Doesn't sound like a Tampa cover 2 guy.
  18. Kelly sure sounded like a leader in the process and Thurman was obviously having a hard time containing some "news". This should be an interesting offseason.
  19. Sully agrees with Ice it appears. http://buffalonews.typepad.com/sully_on_sports/
  20. Why the questions for Ralph ? Egads! Get him away from the microphone.
  21. Well said, he had no chance on the first two series. The guy who replaced Jon Scott was beyond bad.
  22. My first thought as well. He is light years ahead of Jauron. Weis can coach an offense. He would not take the job without having a GM in place. I think more is going on than is being publicized.
  23. Keep him for another year. If he stays out of trouble for one offseason, he might have trade value after the 2010 season. The concept of getting picks for some of these vets is not a bad idea just not sure a lot of buyers will burn the picks.
  24. I like Phil Savage former Browns/Ravens GM. I could see a Savage/Billick team working out. As for Mueller, isn't he the Miami GM who traded Welker to the Pats and drafted John Beck. Pass.
  25. Garrard would be a great pickup. Is Billy Volek available after the season?
