  1. Agree completely, Cowher would be a great hire but if he isn't coming Billick is not a bad fallback. He had a winning percentage of .700 before his final year at Baltimore. He was Vikings OC during some successful offensive years. His teams have won with a passing offense and a running offense when he had no QB.
  2. Thurman and Kelly seemed to be hardly able to hold some information at Nix's introduction. I can't imagine it was to Ron Rivera coming to town.
  3. One of my favorite Billick moments giving Rodney Harrison some love. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVbDQF8m1-4
  4. How about OT, DT and LB. It we don't take a top QB, no point in burning a #2 pick at that position. Draft big people.
  5. Caught the same thing. Doesn't sound like a Tampa cover 2 guy.
  6. Kelly sure sounded like a leader in the process and Thurman was obviously having a hard time containing some "news". This should be an interesting offseason.
  7. Sully agrees with Ice it appears. http://buffalonews.typepad.com/sully_on_sports/
  8. Why the questions for Ralph ? Egads! Get him away from the microphone.
  9. Well said, he had no chance on the first two series. The guy who replaced Jon Scott was beyond bad.
  10. My first thought as well. He is light years ahead of Jauron. Weis can coach an offense. He would not take the job without having a GM in place. I think more is going on than is being publicized.
  11. Keep him for another year. If he stays out of trouble for one offseason, he might have trade value after the 2010 season. The concept of getting picks for some of these vets is not a bad idea just not sure a lot of buyers will burn the picks.
  12. I like Phil Savage former Browns/Ravens GM. I could see a Savage/Billick team working out. As for Mueller, isn't he the Miami GM who traded Welker to the Pats and drafted John Beck. Pass.
  13. Garrard would be a great pickup. Is Billy Volek available after the season?
  14. He was clearly in left field after the hit last week. He basically got run over. Not a surprise that he is out.
  15. He got a good push in the run game and played to the whistle. I watched him most of the game and was impressed. He had a few pancake blocks out there. Imagine if he knew the offense. The penalty on Seau was not a terrible penalty; it does show he is being watched as it was behind the play.
  16. The Senior Bowl is all about the practice sessions. Many scouts don't even watch the game. Tebow and McCoy will get evaluated at their pro days. The scouts will look at their film to determine accuracy, decision making under pressure, competitiveness, etc. I doubt either one of them makes or breaks their opportunity in the Senior Bowl.
  17. I watched Clausen play Syracuse in 2008 in some winter weather last November. He was harrassed all day by Arthur Jones and the Syracuse defense and still managed to put up 22-39 for 300 yards with 2 TD's and no int's in a losing effort. It's a snapshot but compare that to TE and the disaster versus Cleveland last year. Clausen can play in any weather.
  18. Ellis came right up middle. Not sure what play call can make up for that blocking.
  19. Best thing for who? The retired players? The Twitter community? The best thing for me is for the team to stay in Buffalo another 50 years. Great win today! Go Bills!!!!! Maybe the best thing is a new owner coming in and moving them out of Buffalo
  20. Good problem to have. The team is interesting again. Good for Perry!
  21. Moorman had some big moments too.
  22. A lot of these guys are on the team next year regardless of the coach so you want to see them suceed. I hate playing for draft position every year. Good teams draft well regardless of spot.
