  1. Get a big back not a scat back, we play in the NE. McCluster goes 165. If he plays wr, have we learned nothing from the Roscoe experimnet?
  2. Clausen won't make it to #9 anyway. Surely this anonymous "scout" knows JP takes off running as soon as he senses a rush and never has his eyes downfield. Clausen routinely hits scans the field, buys time with his feet in the pocket and makes accurate throws. I see no comparison between the two at all except they are both from California.
  3. I like Spikes a lot. Carrington will never make it to the 5th. He had a great Senior Bowl week. 2010 Draft 1st: Anthony Davis LT or Russell Okung LT 2nd: Brandon Spikes ILB ( I have a feeling he falls to the 2nd rd) 3rd: Cam Thomas NT (stock rose from senior bowl can learn from vet) 4th: Eric Norwood OLB (unless we get McNabb with this pick, then this is mute) 5th: Alex Carrington DE or Vince Oghobaase DE 6th: best offensive weapon (Eric Decker WR, Riley Cooper WR, Jordan Shipley WR, LeGarrette Blount RB or James Starks RB) 6th: Cameron Sheffield OLB or Lindsey Witten OLB 7th: Best Oline prospect left Good offseason!
  4. pretty sure Houston isn't taking on two large salaries with a lockout looming. They are paying Mario Williams a lot of money at DE as well.
  5. Just say no to giving up premium picks. Teams that draft well pick stars in the top 10. I will take a 10 year OT over a three year fading QB.
  6. I expect they will sign a vet LB as many are going to be out there. Maybe a DL or wr. I expect the OL will be addressed in draft.
  7. He is a good temporary fix. He has played in some big games, is good at throwing it downfield. He does have an annoying habit of skipping balls into the ground at inopportune times. Bills simply cannot give up premium picks for him. There are too many holes in the lineup. Think Rich Gannon going to Oakland for the last few years of his career or Deberg going to KC. It can work for a while.
  8. What am I missing here? Ralph's ticket prices are hardly an issue. If the guy wants to trash his running off of Polian and other competent football guys, Ralph is guilty as charged. His ticket prices are pretty fair. Has Buffalo been destroyed by a natural disaster? Yeah, a few years ago in October. Did Ralph offer any help? No. He raised his ticket prices.
  9. As long as it doesn't cost much, it's a possibility. He would be better than anyone we got today. Long term answer, no stop gap why not. Hell, he was good enough for Parcells twice. He seems to know a thing or two about the game.
  10. Work in Alex Carrington and that draft would be perfect
  11. I assume Schobel is gone in a trade. I am much more concerned over who plays DL.
  12. They can add a wr after they plug the other glaring needs at OT and QB. WR is a luxury at this point.
  13. Clearly the answer is SD. They have Rivers and he is elite. If they add a fresher set of legs to the backfield, they will still be in the mix. The thing that amazes me about their choking is much of it is done on their home field. So my question is to anyone that wants to answer, who do you think will win a Lombardi trophy first, San Diego or Buffalo? I hope I live long enough to see?
  14. Unless he is a huge disruption, why not keep him? Not far removed from some good seasons. Wish he could catch a swing pass jus once though.
  15. Chambers is done. I see Shipley as a 'move the sticks' possession type Ricky Prohl/Steve Smith of NYG type. I would take Shipley in the 4th. Build the lines with the top 100 range picks.
  16. Baluga Tebow Arthur Jones Micah Johnson
  17. Great pick there. Another tough lunch bucket type to go with Wood, Butler, Levitre.
  18. Any talk of McKelvin being a bust is absurd. He is a superstar talent, how soon we forget the last part of his rookie year. The kid can play.
  19. I liked Sanders, he actually got a few plays out of McCargo.
  20. Do they think Belechek wasn't calling the shots on D? I think he knew it would be a down year when he traded Seymour, trade made no sense otherwise.
  21. Agree, need an OT first or second. If we get one in free agent (never going to happen), we have the luxury to take a WR there. Front 7 on D even more of priority than Wr. We got a lot of holes unfortunately. Buddy needs to work some magic this April.
  22. Gotta have a QB period. Only way to come from behind quickly is passing. If we got a chance to get a good one, you take it. Yes we need a LT badly as well. Needing both makes this a multi year rebuild..........again.
  23. I watched just about every game Clausen started at ND. He has been groomed pretty well for the NFL by Weiss who like him or not has worked with some pretty good QB's. Clausen has some intangibles like sliding in the pocket to let a play develop not taking off running like JP Losman. Clausen always has his eyes downfield even in the face of a rush, he will wait til the last second and take a hit, he does not duck the rush and played scared like Trent Edwards. Clausen keeps plays alive and can be innovative shoveling a pass underhanded to his checkdown receiver if needed like Kelly used to do. Add to that his accuracy, he throws to the lead shoulder, allowing his receiver to run after the catch. Playing at ND gave him many chances to play from behind and he showed to be a battler converting many third and fourth down plays in the clutch. I think his production at ND was excellant considering the spotty blocking and Weis's offense that passed every play, opponents knew what was coming and he was still productive. He is a competitor and plays cocky, a guy you like on your team and hate if he's the opponent. I assure you after he works out for scouts, he will be a top 5 pick.
