  1. Decisions like that concern me. Thankfully Buddy Nix picks the players.
  2. I concur on Ourlads. A great read, very detailed. They gave Tebow a 4th round grade this year.
  3. I am guessing he goes for a third or fourth with maybe a conditional pick for next year added on.
  4. This is absurd. He will be gone by #9 anyway. Wait and see ........
  5. Too many holes now. Can't see creating another one.
  6. All SEC performer, routinely ties up two blockers. He played for Nick Saban who knows a thing or two about defense. I think Cody would look great at NT for Buffalo. Watch the tape, he makes plays, more importantly his linebackers make plays.
  7. The only way to get any value for Lynch is to trade him in preseason when some team loses a RB to injury. He has little value today.
  8. With Buddy's SEC ties, I would not be shocked if moved towards Tebow at some point but never at #9. If the OT's and QB's are gone, then he might take Spiller or a NT. He is not going to burn a pick on a player that can't help the team in 2010.
  9. The guy is incredibly strong. Run after catch yards will be huge with him. He has great hands. After watching both Tate and Josh Reed over the years, I think it is a weak comparison. Reed was never explosive, simply a move the sticks receiver. Tate will produce big plays.
  10. I am pretty sure "Boston" is happy with their current QB. Taking Tebow instead of a front 7 player would be doing us a favor.
  11. I agree the interest in CJ Spiller is to draw a partner to trade up to #9.
  12. Whitner chimes in according to Philly paper http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/eagles...?cmpid=15585797 And a plate of wings Buffalo safety Donte Whitner tweeted his enthusiasm for Donovan McNabb, after the Bills were mentioned in trade reports. "I hope D+nvan McNabb comes to us. He's great," Whitner said. Whitner also asked his nearly 10,000 followers whether they thought McNabb would be a good fit for the Bills. Early returns were positive. Whitner also mentioned that his mother and Wilma McNabb work together in an NFL moms' group.
  13. Snead had a fantastic workout the other day. He has the strong arm Buddy referenced when talking about the winds at the Ralph. I am all for it.
  14. Tate is a great player. He will not be there at #41. We have too many needs in the trenches to make this pick.
  15. I think they should keep all their picks for the time being. Philly is stuck with three QB's and has to unload one. They have already publicized that McNabb is not going to be their QB. There is no pressure on Buffalo to meet their current demands. Buffalo should hold their cards until the price comes down. The 2010 second round pick is likely a starter in the trenches where we need help. McNabb is not going to put Buffalo in the playoffs in year one. He has a one year contract currently in place. Further, Buddy is a lifelong scout so I doubt he wants to give up his early picks in his first draft.
  16. I am guessing that Buddy goes front 7 on defense and OL on offense. As this is a 2 year rebuild, he can add receivers later to compliment the current group. I could see taking a move the sticks type like Decker or Shipley if they are around after the 4th round.
  17. He is visiting Jets and Ravens this week. The guy is a good player. http://www.carrollcountytimes.com/sports/a...1cc4c03286.html
  18. The way people ran by Bell, Scott and Chambers, I cannot see any justification to not upgrade the tackle positions immediately. You cannot run a modern day offense without at least some resistance to the defense.
  19. This guy gives a pretty good analysis of the needs on defense. It will be a challenge. http://fifthdown.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/03...-film-revealed/
  20. I say keep him another year. Why create another hole on the roster. He is only 24 with a 2M cap figure. He put up solid numbers his first two years in the league. His off the field stuff will make him questionable as trade bait. I seriously doubt AJ Smith is giving up his 3rd pick for a RB when he can get Willie Parker or Justin Fargas to share the load with Sproles.
  21. Playing in the cold is about mental toughness. Kent Hull was from Mississippi and he did ok. Gimme Baluga, Tyson Alualu, Rodger Saffold and Arthur Jones, I think we could win some games with those guys. I like Ben Tate. Throw in Tebow if he is around in the mid rounds though I bet he goes higher than most think.
  22. Wood is a huge question mark for 2010. Incognito is a good player from what I saw. Both tackle positions are indeed dire.
  23. Jimmy Clausen will go in the top 6 picks. Pro scouts review arm strength, decision making not winning percentage. Most realize Clausen did not play defense or offensive tackle at ND as both were lacking.
  24. My biggest concern with Maybin is once locked up with the OT he had no ability to shake off the block. He was swallowed up and stopped. Has a long ways to go as a DE but should look better in the 3-4.
  25. I take a greater interest in the reports from the Senior Bowl practices where he was tossing centers around like ragdolls. The guy is a great player.
