  1. I was very impressed with the Steeler Tight ends yesterday and their efforts in the run game. I thought Heath Miller was tremendous and showed great strength standing up Calvin Pace on the goal line for a Steeler score. Miller and Speath were blocking the second level all afternoon and led to some good runs. My favorite play of the day was watching Miller knock David Harris back into the endzone on another score. I hope Buddy and Chan realize the importance the position plays in the run game and have plans to add a real one to the Bills roster.
  2. Best one yet! A lot of Big guys. Sign Chad Greenway and add this bunch and we might be heading in right direction. Might throw a RB in the later rounds. Draftek picks 1. Marcell Dareus DE 6'3" 306 2. Demarcus Love ROT 6'5" 315 3. Jerrell Powe NT 6'2" 328 4. Luke Stocker TE 6'5" 255 4. Wayne Daniels OLB 6'2" 250 5. Casey Matthews SILB 6'2" 235 6. Scott Tolzien QB 6'3" 208 7. Alex Linnenkohl OC 6'2" 303 Not bad but Love got abused by Cameron Heyward so not sure there. And can we please stop with the late round QB bums Tolzien wont make it in the league and we got Brown so lets get guys who can play. I would pick Stephen Paea NT at 2, Sam Acho OLB at 3,Lee Ziemba ROT at 4.2 and Ciff Matthews OLB at 6.
  3. We have so many holes and I have to think the run defense will be the first priority. To draft the top TE's Rudolph, it is likely a second pick. I would rather they go OT or LB there. Now if Ralph could be generous and spend some of money he made on the Toronto deal on a Chad Greenway or David Harris, I could live with Rudolph in the second.
  4. Mallett will go in the top 10 if not top 5. That arm will blow away scouts on the workouts. As for the interception at the end, go check the college records of Marino and Kelly etc. They all threw plenty of ints. His skills absolutely translate to the NFL. The question for the Bills is whether he helps the team more than Bowers, Fairly or Dareus. Sounds like Chan is committed to Fitz.
  5. If Luck comes out, Carolina will trade back. A team will make the move. He looked so good, I am sorta hoping one of those teams is Buffalo.
  6. I found it embarrassing to watch the Jets never throw a pass and go right down the field with a ton of backups playing for them. Was it my imagination or did the blitz packages of the last few weeks disappear today? I am thinking Chan and Buddy were not upset with the loss today. OMG, did you see McKelvin get shoved off the field on the 3rd and 17 play?
  7. Quan Sturdivant was one of the better players I saw over the last few days. Love to see him in the fold. I agree about Chan going 4 wide rather than using a TE.
  8. Yesterday's performance showed the need for upgraded LB play. Pass rushing, getting off blocks and coverage were all horrible yesterday. I knew Pos was slow but watching the 36 year old 300 TE Crumpler easily outrun him was alarming. DaQuan Bowers, DE, Clemson Robert Quinn OLB UNC Cameron Jordan DE Cal Quan Sturdivant, ILB, North Carolina Greg Jones, ILB, Michigan State Bruce Carter OLB, North Carolina Kenny Tate S Maryland Casey Matthews, ILB, Oregon Pierre Allen DE Nebraska Scott Lutrus OLB UCONN So that means the list currently looks like this: 1. Andrew Luck 2. Cam Newton 3. Ryan Mallett 4. Nick Fairley 5. Da'Quan Bowers 6. Gabe Carimi 7. Marcell Dareus 8. Anthony Castonzo 9. Robert Quinn 10.DeMarcus Love
  9. The Patriots have built their teams multiple ways. They won their first Super Bowl of the Brady era with a collection of free agents. They trade for veterans like Corey Dillon, Randy Moss and Deion Branch where needed. They draft big people and TE's consistently. Recently, they started drafting LB's when Vrabel and Bruschi got older. It all starts with Belechek being a great coach and having the QB that has you scoring on every possession.
  10. Bill: Any thoughts on #76 Rhinehardt. He was moving the pile pretty well at the end of the game. I was impressed with his snapshot appearence.
  11. Great take Red ! Enough is enough with this guy. No other team makes this spin argument to support a dud. Bottom line no playoffs during his tenure.
  12. Run defense in the first half was nonexistant. Sometimes the runner was surrounded and still gained 5 yards. Need 2 linebackers and a DE at least in offseason.
  13. I agree completely on Stroud. He is easily blocked and no comparison to his first year here. Carrington, Troup and Moats are all contributing. Looking forward to another Buddy draft.
  14. Kelsay played pretty well in the second half. In the first half, he got single blocked by the TE twice on good gains #34. He kept rushing upfield and stopping in the first half as Big Ben rolls that way a lot. Second half he was going on deep rushes past the QB which worked nicely on the sack and strip at the goal line.
  15. After being blocked to the ground, he ran down Rothlesberger on his long run. He was showing some progress. I wish he would use his hands to ward off the blockers. Once he is engaged, he is too light.
  16. Simply a great performance. He was in on every play it seemed.
  17. I would have to say he acquited himself quite well. Harrison's biggest hit of the day when he was flagged, he rushed from the other side. He did get a sack on a stunt I believe. Not a bad showing by Bell.
  18. The only QB I would consider early is Luck. I like Fairley pick. I would go with Casey Matthews in the second. Those two guys would add some energy.
  19. Bengals had 2 guys sitting on the route. This is getting ugly.
  20. Cannot stop them can't give them extra possessions
  21. Byrd bites at play action as TO blows right by him.
  22. FJ has some talent. Overcame some penalties and a sack on that drive and still went 80+ yards.
  23. Fitz is making these plays by hanging in the pocket under huge pressure
  24. Gotta love Fitzy hanging in there after getting drilled twice.
