  1. OK, Fitz, let's see what you got.
  2. You have to write your name on the score sheet before you can ace the exam. Ya gotta start somewhere. I was more heartened by the fact they came back from 21 points down on the road, than the fact they beat another crappy team. THAT is cause for at least a little optimism, isn't it?
  3. I agree. Do you want them to lose those games in the hopes of getting a higher draft pick, or win them? If you really don't want the Bills to beat those teams, I give up.
  4. You did: "I think of things in simple terms, wins are useless for this team this season. Tank it, get as high a pick as you can and trade down in order to pick up more quality draft picks." How do you expect to "tank it" if the players aren't involved? This, I gotta hear.
  5. I'm guessing they will say they don't watch with any emotion either way. Then when they start winning, they will jump on the bandwagon. The very definition of a fair-weather fan.
  6. I didn't mean to imply that I think your prior season record matters when the next season starts. I meant that I'd rather have my team moving in the right direction and showing signs of improvement than to intentionally jake it in an attempt to win the lottery. Jake Long was not single-handedly responsible for the Dolphins turnaround. And for every Dolphins turnaround like that, there are just as many examples of drafting #1 and still sucking. Both winning and losing are contagious.
  7. So what? You really want to perpetuate, and potentially deepen, the culture of losing in order to draft ONE GUY who could get his knee wrecked in training camp? Then where are you? So they get the first pick, but the rest of the team is still a bunch of miserable losers who don't know how to win and don't want to be there. How do you turn that ship on a dime? You finish strong and some decent free agents might consider coming. I don't know, but in any other business, purposefully trying to not win is a serious integrity issue. But a lot of people these days don't know what that word means anymore, I guess.
  8. Matt Ryan was not the first overall pick.
  9. Nice comeback win on the road. Good for them.
  10. "Did we win? What was the score?"
  11. And then the Bills sign the goose to the practice squad after the game.
  12. Called him dingleberry....
  13. Any chance of snow this weekend? If it snows, the Bills definitely win!
  14. I predict ESPN won't even bother to show highlights of this game.
  15. It's only for a few months....It's only for a few months...It's only for a few months...
  16. If the Bills brass makes decisions based on friggin' message board fodder, then we have WAY bigger problems than we thought. C'mon....
  17. Blah, blah, blah. Further proof that some people aren't happy unless they're miserable. Go kick the dog.
  18. First and ten.... sorry but you got used. Senator, I don't always agree with what you say, but I respect you for resorting to facts instead of emotional opinion.

  20. This is where I'm at. You find out a lot about a person's character when things aren't going well-- what kind of teammate they are, how they deal with adversity, etc. Gailey and Nix will have a tough job keeping young talents like Spiller, Wood, Byrd, etc. motivated and focused on the bigger picture throughout what's likely a very bad experience this season. Drafting a franchise QB and some quality FA leaders in next year will help. It's an exercise in leadership on many levels.
  21. Easy on the hyperbole generator... they've lost to four above average teams, IMO, and were in two of those games until very late in the game.
