What is needed here, methinks, is a way for John & Jane Q. Public, to see who has their towers/receivers/transmitters, where. That way we could see which company has coverage in the areas we need it most. What do you think the chances of THAT happening, are?

Are you recovering from a concussion, yourself? Just wondering.....

I wouldn't use Verizon or AT&T unless those were the only 2 cellular providers remaining on the planet. And then I would have to give it some serious thought. I had Verizon before and the reception at my home was so bad I had to go OUTSIDE to use the phone. OUTSIDE. Verizon even had me upgrade to a "Tri Mode" phone (my fault for falling for such a blatant "excuse of the day" ploy from them). I finally switched to TMobile because my wife had the cheapest Nokia phone available with TMobile and she got ab so lutely perfect reception. Not to mention a much better price. So much for Verizon and all their lies. AT&T screwed my company so royally on the office business plan (phone line plus 6M DSL), that I will never use them or recommend them again for any reason. They gave me a good plan, in theory, over the phone....land line plus 6M DSL for $99/month. What they never told me on the phone was that they were going to charge me the non discounted price (about $250/m) for up to 2 billing periods BEFORE the discount would kick in. So instead of getting a bill for about $110, I get a bill for about $270 for the 1st month. And I got the same thing for the 2nd month. I fought this as far as I could go, even got a friend of mine who is (was) a supervisor for AT&T to try to try to iron this thing out. All I wanted was what AT&T promised me on the phone, $99/m for land line and 6M DSL, from Day 1....not after 2 months and $540. AT&T refused to budge. So now, whenever my clients ask me for recommendations on cellular, land lines and network providers, I tell them "Anyone but AT&T." After that screwing, I will never recommend, nor will I ever use AT&T for anything again.

I need a Windows phone to run specific apps for my business. I'm very happy with the TouchPro, but Sprint bites the Big Barloonga. I get THE crappiest reception in the 2 places where I need it most: my office my house I have an old Moto Razr with TMobile and I get perfect reception at my office and my house and everywhere in between. And I work in Fort Lauderdale and live in Miami, so it's not like I'm out in Buzzard's Butt, Wyoming ferchrissakes. Sprint needs to put more than 2 towers in Florida. Sheesh. Cheap bastids.

The Chiefs Have Cut Larry Johnson
DrFishfinder replied to Steely Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To state the blatantly obvious, the Bills need to address several different issues. Larry Johnson is not the solution to any of them. -
Another Possible although not Probable Idea for HC
DrFishfinder replied to IHFO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that's a real possibility too, if Jax lets Jack go. Maybe Hasslet, too. -
HTC TouchPro, baybee!

Wow....Dirty Dick Slater has a daughter! -
And we can go to the 90s when Ralph was the owner of a helluva football team. Look, I'm not saying that Ralph is blameless. Someone(s) sold Ralph on Jauron last season. And Ralph might bring in another Jauron/Williams/Mularkey next season. Or he might bring in the next Belicheck. I've been following this team since their 1st season. I went to games at the old Rockpile. I B word too. But I'm a Bills fan and for as much as I might B word, I'm looking forward to changes at the end of this season and will ALWAYS hope for the best (even though I'm prepared for the worst). Why can't next season be the resurrection of the 90s Bills? It can. It happened before.

Do you want to Keep Jauron or Fire Jauron
DrFishfinder replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's difficult to look at the performance of this team over the last several years and put a finger on just one thing responsible for the lack of success. The parade of head coaches hasn't produced results and one could make a case for "bad choices" in that respect, which would be hard to argue with based on the results. Would a complete coaching staff makeover produce better results? There's a 50/50 chance of yes or no. None of the recent coaching staff makeovers have produced good results, if good results equates to making the playoffs. Volumes have been written about every aspect of this team from Ralph Wilson all the way down to injuries and everything and everyone in between. I'm certain that everyone from Ralph Wilson to the fans is dissatisfied with the status quo. Keeping Jauron as head coach if the Bills end up with another losing season, which looks eminent, would be a PR disaster for the organization. Ralph would be eviscerated by sports writers and fans. Statistically, change in and of itself has a 50/50 chance of succeeding or failing. In the case of the Bills, not doing anything will most likely end up with the same results as the last 3 years. Replacing Jauron is no guarantee that the results will be different, just as keeping Jauron is no guarantee that the results will be the same. Retaining Jauron however, would give the impression that the organization is convinced that Jauron has the team on the right track and is willing to give him a 4th chance to bear that out. I doubt very many people outside the Bills organization would agree with that. -
And the Pats stunk for years and then the 49ers stunk and the Bengals stunk and in the80s and 90's players were abusing all kinds of things. The current team is a wreck and has been for about a decade. Some of the blame falls on the owner, some doesn't. Nonetheless, we'd all be rooting for teams from some other city if not for Ralph.

Kelly said he would rather work at McDonald's than play for the Bills. He went to the USFL Houston Gamblers and when that team folded he went to the NJ Generals. He only came back to the Bills because the USFL folded. Now everyone loves Kelly, but not a lot of people remember he thumbed his nose at the NFL and the Bills. The poster blamed Ralph and Ralph alone, which is ignorant.

Ok ... I'm starting to get worried

For about the goojillionth time.....Ralph is not going to make any HC changes until the season is over. Sheesh. -
Brutal truth from Inside Slant
DrFishfinder replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rich was way uglier than Jauron. Nod for worst coach goes to Kotite on that. -
Please. I'd almost rather have Son of Bum back.

Interesting, especially Juliette from LOST, but I don't think it will be able to sustain. They pretty much gave the whole plot away in the 1st episode. I think that was a big mistake.

AA for you.

To the Ralph Wilson bashers in this thread: You do realize that without Ralph Wilson, you would be bitching about some team from a different city. Ralph has made mistakes.....what owner hasn't? The team is a mess right now and 91 or not, Ralph is painfully aware of that. Very few people agreed with keeping Jauron after last season and Ralph knows that too. Ralph does things his own way and fans don't always agree with those things when the team is not playing well. Barring a miracle, things will change after the season is over. For better or worse, no one can say. I've certainly done my fair share of Bills-bashing and reserve the right to continue to do so. But it's time to lay off Ralph.

Both Brees & Ryan will throw into tight windows. They also have the confidence to throw to the spot where the receiver is supposed to be before he gets there. Any QB who makes it into the NFL can make all the required throws. The top tier QB's, like Brees, have the ability to make those throws under pressure, on the run, in very tight windows and to spots where the receiver will (should) be. Neither Edwards or Fitz has shown much ability in those area.
