  1. It's a combination of the schemes and the talent, or lack thereof. Defenses smother the checkdown receivers and double the deep one(s), not to mention pouring through the OL to pressure/sack the QB. A mess all the way around, that needs to be fixed.
  2. A $5k tax credit is NOT going to offset the cost of me hiring another person at this point. Nor would a $10k credit. My clients are simply NOT spending money, period. Hiring another person is not going to change that. This recession will be over and things will start to pick up if and when banks start making loans to small businesses, again. Not before.
  3. The difference is that both Indy and NO have receivers that can make yards after the catch. We don't. Our checkdown passes get stopped cold at the point of the reception.
  4. How about we do away with the half time sham. I don't want to listen to ANY band do a loop of 30 second sound bites of their "Greatest Hits". For crying out loud....what a complete shill.
  5. Well, as far as I'm concerned, he can get his noodle-fingered self into a PDA (Pass Droppers Anonymous) program if he's gonna stick with the Chan Gang. Otherwise, he can get outta MY back yard and go love him some him someplace else. We already have enough publicity seeking nimrods and associated paparazzi nimrods down here, thankyewvurymuch. Sheesh.....go boink Madonna already and STFU.
  6. Hell, I feel bad that we're still talking about him. Bad isn't the right word........lessee........nauseated, maybe? Yeah.....that's more like it.
  7. Apparently Girl Guides are some lawsuit happy hussies. Not selling enough cookies eh, Sheila?
  8. Jeezus H. Christ on a Bicycle. I made it 8 seconds before closing THAT ..... whatever THAT was. Not since The Macarena have I wanted to gouge my eyes out and fill my ears with fast drying cement.
  9. well.....have fun watching the ACC West there, Slippy!
  10. I'm pretty sure tootsie rolls are in wrappers, which may have been a point lost on our former GM's.
  11. How come I can remember who I sat next to in 3rd grade, but I can't remember why I started this post?
  12. What is the speed of dark?
  13. Best of luck to AVP. Hope he does well.
  14. He hasn't been able to stick on any of the teams he's played with. Dropsie prone, too. Pass.
  15. I am a huge Penn State fan, but I would pass on Clark. Very questionable accuracy.
  16. I really, really, really, really, really hope you're wrong about that part.
  17. I think the Bills should just go to Rikers with some footballs and whoever can get put in handcuffs, leg chains, beat with batons, tasered, shanked and STILL throw a TD......sign that guy.
  18. The beaten, confused Trent that "we've puked over" is exactly who he actually is, under the circumstances in which he played. He looked good at 5-1 and was rated in the top 5 QB's in the league at that point. Then he got a concussion, the OL fell apart, he got another concussion and that OL fell apart, and on and on and on. Things are starting out pretty much with a clean slate next season, from the GM, HC, OC and DC on down. As has been said before, no QB can throw while he's flat on his back. So hopefully they'll address the OL first. As for Edwards and any chance of him staying, I'm all for Gailey giving him a shot in pre season. But bring in a bona fide starting QB first. I don't think the Bills can afford the luxury of experimenting with Edwards yet again, to see if it was reason A, B, C or D - Z that he didn't work out. Give him a shot in preseason, but make the decision to keep him or not quickly, and move forward either way. And make damn sure there is a starting caliber QB on the roster in case the decision is NO.
  19. I would rather have Lisa Lampanelli at QB than JR. Sheesh.
  20. I think any reasonable person would support Nix and Gailey. That being said, there are a lot of posters who are ready to run them out of town before the draft, before reassembling the coaching staff and team, not to mention well before one single snap in practice. To quote Samuel (Shemp) Howard, "Don't make sense nohow, somehow."
  21. WR, yes. In the draft? Nope. FA. Get someone who can gain some yardage AFTER the catch and help NOW.
  22. It's Dennis Quaid (and I didn't even see the movie).
  23. For the eleventy pooptillionth time: It all starts, or stops, with the offensive line. Pass the Tylenol.
  24. Anybody who mentions Angus and Iommi is Big Time OK in my book!!!!! Master of Reality is still one of my all time favs.
  25. Holy crap....Trower! Really excellent Hendrix-style/blues guitarist. Phenomenally great, live. Still making music, too. Another HC for Les Dudek. Same for BOC Dharma. A couple faves of mine: Steve Hunter: Listen to him on Rock 'n Roll Animal live. Yikes. Michael Hedges: Gone, but I'm pretty sure he had 8 fingers on each hand. Billy Gibbons: Amazingly good with what looks like almost no effort. Jeff Beck: Kinda pompous, but all that without a pick?
