  1. So....Greg has chunked up, huh? Well.....as long as his voice is still there, I don't care if he goes all Jamarcus. As long as their next album isn't another "Love Beach", I'll be looking forward to it.
  2. I'm reasonably sure the poster was shooting for "beholden." Butcha never know......
  3. All my yearly chores, if I play my cards right.
  4. Probably Walter's fault.
  5. Well everything every poster writes is an "opinion." What a snotty -assed statement that was. That is also my opinion. I am cautiously excited because of this thing called hope. It's why people do many different things when there is no guarantee of a return on their investment. Is that your opinion....4-6 wins? Is any GM's plan foolproof? Could the Bills have done things like the Jets, Dolphins and Falcons? Would that make you happy? I am going to put an end to this discussion between you and I, because there is no point to it other than to endlessly debate our seemingly opposing opinions. As I said before, I am not out to change yours.
  6. Bingo. Going from Lost to V is like going from Hitchcock to Pauly Shore. Or something like that.
  7. I'm surprised to hear he is doing old material.
  8. Yeah, it is being negative. You're missing the bigger point by dissecting it to pieces. What I'm doing is saying that success has emerged from what looked like some pretty unlikely situations at the time. It's the start of a brand new season with a bunch of what I see as positive changes to the team, and still the negativity just permeates this message board.
  9. It's a shame that you don't have some degree of optimistic anticipation at the beginning a new season. If you are so results oriented, surely you know that, "if you always do, what you always did, you always get, what you always got." Many things have changed, though I doubt those changes are enough to give you much, if any, hope. I have no intention of changing your mind. You are perfectly entitled to whatever attitude you wish. Me? I am always excited at the beginning of the season. I hope I never lose that.
  10. He had very little time to throw, looked deep first and never seemed to be able to throw the ball away rather than take a sack or try to run. If he had adequate pass protection and a platoon of Jerry Rice's to throw to, things might have worked out differently.
  11. Sounds a lot like the Patriots fans in the 90's whose pathetic team wallowed in suckitude before some schlubby QB drafted in the 6th round and a head coach who had only 1 winning season in his entire career, turned them into a powerhouse. Doesn't it?
  12. Thanks for the info. How did Greg sound? I always thought he had one of the best voices in the biz.
  13. You're right. Why even follow them this year, let alone watch the games. Just check the scores the morning after the game so you can pat yourself on the back and say, "I told you so."
  14. This is one of the saner posts on this subject in recent memory.
  15. No wonder he had the Dolphins & Henne at 22. Cole is still a secret FISH LOVAH
  16. I haven't agreed with Jason Cole on much, ever since he covered the Dolphins for the Sun-Sentinel way back when. Annnnnd..........I still don't. I'm shocked he has Henne so far back in the pack.
  17. I agree with you that leaving some questions unanswered is a good and prudent thing to do. After all, if all the questions are answered, there is that much less to reflect on, no? I'm sure I will find something else to latch on to. But in the short term at least, it will be called, "settling."
  18. Hooo boy, I've got a baaaad feeling about this one, already. Jurassic Park - Rise of the Jetsons. Yeah, yeah.....I know I'm being all snarky.
  19. I think I will wait a while before I watch it again. Even then, I may not. I'm the same way with books. I like to remember the powerful, initial impact. The 2nd time around, I may understand more (theoretically), but the impact is greatly diminished. My wife is the polar opposite. You would need a Cray to count the number of times she's seen Goodfellas, Pulp Fiction and reread those horny cave people books by Jean Auel.
  20. Boy, you're right on the $$ about raising the bar. Damn near half the time my wife and I are watching some show and there is a pregnant pause right before "The Big Line", I nail "The Big Line" during the pregnant pause. That is not a testimonial to me, that is a kick to the groinal region of the so-called script writers (May Flocke eat their souls). I hope JJ and the gang get the itch again REAL soon.
  21. You know.....I don't think I've ever been this engrossed in a television show. At least, not for this long. Same for my wife. I feel sort of embarrassed admitting this, but the ending of this show is going to leave us both feeling a bit......uh....Llllll.....nope, I'm not going to say it. This series was so thought provoking, frustrating, enthralling and enjoyable, it really is going to leave a void, at least for a while. I had high hopes for Flash Forward and V. FF got nuked and V apparently stands for "Vapid" (yeah, I know that was snotty). I like Fringe quite a bit, but it's not in the same league with Lost. Gotta love Walter Bishop. Lost was THE television show that my wife and I really looked forward to. Honestly, everything else fell into the "meh" category. Well...I guess I should qualify this with me and Bills games....that's a given priority that needs no explanation. But after Sunday, there is going to be a period of time where my wife and I look at the TV guide and say, "Well, NOW what?" It's a little like losing a friend, for crying out loud. Or is is just me?
  22. Yep...I understand what you are saying. It's just contrary old me....I have the impression that those words are more metaphorical than literal. A "feel good" about humanity if you will....like "there's some good in everyone." Or maybe I'm just looking for curve balls on every pitch.
  23. I don't think that extinguishing the island light has that big of an influence. I think it influences the people connected to the island, not all of humanity. It may be that since MIB was essentially created by the log flume of light, if that light is extinguished, so is MIB, as well as the island.
  24. What if the internal light is the actual power source (for lack of a better term) of the island? If the light is extinguished, the island physically disappears and MIB/Flocke is a thing without a jail? Instead of figuring out a way to break out of jail, figure out a way to remove the jail.
