  1. Wow. To know that the island was real, the characters were real and their lives on the island were real.....that means a LOT to me, as odd as that may sound. The one I will miss the most is Sawyer. The quintessential bad ass (long) con man, who found his Juliette (pardon me, Will) and hence, some sort of peace with himself. Or at least to know that he could attain peace. What a blast it was to live vicariously thorough him. You guys rock, TG. Thank you for 6 years of turning television programming inside out. It went from the aptly named "The Boob Tube" to something I never could have expected in my wildest dreams. Please, I'm begging you all, hurry up and fill the void.
  2. We pretty much know what we get with TE and Fitz, based on their past history. Brohm is the unknown, but I have a hunch Brohm is going to be out of the NFL in another season or two. No reason, just a hunch. Edwards has (had) some capabilities that were fairly effective, when he had time to throw and the schemes were designed to play into his strengths. I don't think Fitz is going to get appreciably better than what we saw last year. I'm expecting a caretaker role from this year's QB, whoever it is. Run on 1st & 2nd down, throw on 3rd if they have to or crank up CJ. Stiffen the D, play tough & smart, hold opposing teams to low scores & grind it out. Go after one of the better QB's in next year's draft. And strangely enough, I'm okay with that.
  3. I'm guessing "at work" refers to the actual place as opposed to what you're actually doing there today? My wifely unit is PI$$ED at the ending. She bawled like a baby when Vincent laid down next to Jack. I'm feeling ...... unfulfilled at the way it ended. I would like to have seen at least some of the Losties on the island, alive at the end. I guess to carry on the idea that these were living people and that their adventures would have some continuation. At least in my so-called mind. Some continuation of the good vs bad, the fighting, loving, living. Man, I don't even feel remotely interested in television right now. It's back to being the vapid void it used to be. Sniff.....blink....blink
  4. Moronic? Hardly. Look up the word. Full of insulting suggestions? Pfffft. Name one. You want moronic? I give you........YOU! I can say "without a doubt," and "beyond a "perpondurance of the evidence" I will be correct. Get your heads outta of your butts!!!!! Bottom line is this team is going to STINK and I mean STINK this year and mostly likely many years to come. You will have no choice but to admit this year and next year the Bills will be NFL bottom dweelers/feeders.
  5. You want weird? Look at any picture of a QB's non-throwing hand during the throw. I refuse to say anything further.
  6. Still love the 1st Alien & 1st Predator.
  7. His choice(s)......all the way.
  8. Well, this one was sarcastic. But I also have a very low opinion of Russel. He has, by every account I've read, put forth very little effort for his guaranteed $31.5m.
  9. I guess that's a step in the right direction.
  10. I agree. How about we all wait & see what happens. After all, from where I sit, that's pretty much what all of us "experts" are gonna do.
  11. Maybe if the Bills signed him as a "Designated Eater", he could devour the next player who costs them a game with an idiot play.
  12. Baltimore won the SB with Dilfer, hardly a marquis QB. They made it to the playoffs in 2008 with Flacco, who had a 60% completion ratio and threw 14 TD's to 12 Int's, also hardly a stellar QB performance. True, Baltimore's strength was their defense, but it shows a team can at least get into the playoffs without Brady/Manning/Brees.
  13. BTW....in case you think the bull got a free pass because he "won", think again. The bull always dies. Well, there have been times where the bull "fought so valiantly" the crowd implores the matador to let him live, but that is almost unheard of. Standard procedure is to bring out another matador and finish off the bull. Major suckitude for el toro.
  14. I have a sneaking suspicion that only one of the Oceanic Losties will remain on the island, the rest will end up in their sideways worlds with sporadic micro-flashbacks of their island life. The one who remains will continue the mano a mano chess match with their protagonist. Which Lostie remains and who is the protagonist? Dunno, I think we may be in for a curve ball, there.
  15. I saw bullfights live in Spain a few years ago, and it was THE most brutal thing I have ever seen. I have respect for different cultures and all, but holy crap.
  16. Typical "Somebody has to fall on the sword" politics.
  17. He was a decent 3rd < 10 receiver to be sure, and pretty dependable for most of his career with the Bills. I don't think his heart was in it last season and I can't say that I blame him if that's the case.
  18. A combination of factors, indeed. Could probably fill a U-Haul with 'em. But...you are right....hope springs eternal....... NO PRISONERS!!!
  19. I would have to say that Fringe is my next favorite after Lost, which is like saying, "after Rolls Royce, my next favorite is Schwinn." Anyway, I watched the season finale of Fringe last night and could only think of how it pales in comparison to Lost. The more I watch other shows, the more I am going to miss this one. Sniff......
  20. Evans had 44 receptions last year. That averages out to 1 more reception/game than Reed. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
  21. They'll make your pocket protector look straight, too!
  22. He averaged 10.78 yards/reception last year. I was surprised, too.
  23. And another point of view on great coaches who can take a given set of players and beat anybody: Bum Philips: (referring to Don Shula) "He can take his'n and beat your'n and take your'n and beat his'n."
