  1. MUCH better. I actually laughed after these! ....and I needed a laugh, today.
  2. According to the league's new rules, coaches of stronger teams are encouraged to deter runaway games by rotating players out of their usual positions, ensuring players pass the ball around, asking players to kick with the weaker foot, taking players off the field and encouraging players to score from farther away. Once a team gets 4 goals ahead, how about they put bags over their heads, make them wear diving flippers, and carry a live puma?
  3. Bingo. Defensive backs were hitting the checkdowns within 2 steps of the catch and the receivers weren't big enough or fast enough to gain any significant additional yardage.
  4. I have always respected your views and will continue to do so, even if they differ from mine (just so we have that out of the way). I'm not talking about teaching morals in school. School (public school) is not where morals should be taught. Yours, mine or anyone else's. Morals are not part of public school K-12 curriculum, as far as I know. Speaking as a parent who had a child in the public school system, I want the public school system to butt the ukfay out of the morals subject. That also means, as a parent, I want the public school system to similarly butt the ukfay out of their employees pontificating their personal agendas on ALL children, during class. If any particular parent wants to raise an 'automaton', it is NOT my business to interfere, regardless of how I feel about it personally. Just as it is none of their business if I want to raise my child to think openly. I agree wholeheartedly with you about plagiarizing. Remove a few letters and you have, 'liar'.
  5. Here's another point of view: School (at least public school) is where education should take place. "Kids" are extremely impressionable and indeed, they have enough being blasted at them already without having their educators pontificating their own personal agenda on A, B or C during class. Allowing that to happen makes the most difficult job in the world, THAT much more difficult.
  6. You are correct in that the provokers didn't deserve to die for the provocation. The Israeli soldiers were attacked with deadly force and they defended themselves. That didn't happen on the other ships. If the Israeli soldiers were so intent on inflicting harm, why didn't they do it on the other ships as well? Why just one? You have no idea whether any of the provokers was intent on martyrdom. The terrorists use martyrdom as an extremely effective tool to be able to attack their targets world wide. There are suicide bombings involving martyrs every single day. The people of Gaza are getting thousands of tons of aid every single day and Israel has every right to inspect the "aid" that comes in to ensure that it does not contain materials that have been, are now, and will continue to be used by Hamas to attack Israel.
  7. You are entitled to your opinion. However, the blockade is supported by international law. Israel is protecting, and has every right to protect itself against Hamas, who has fired thousands of rockets indiscriminately into that country and who does not even recognize the right of Israel to exist. Not even to EXIST. There are 3 sides to every story.
  8. Actually, I'm more than a little surprised that the provokers were careless enough to get caught attacking the soldiers with weapons. I really expected them to play it completely sterile. I don't know if they (the provokers) were poorly trained, untrained, lost their heads or were just tunes. We all knew they weren't going to be stupid enough to attempt to hide a few dozen nuclear warheads in the cement bags.
  9. Austin.......the REAL music capital of the US! Omar & the Howlers, baybee.
  10. I got the feeling he just doesn't want to play an entire season, not that he doesn't want to play for the Bills. It IS possible he's beat up, tired of the grind and wants to leave the game on his own terms rather than have an injury or declining skills force him to.
  11. I'm not sure where you're going with this, KD.
  12. Of course they did. This was a planned provocation from the beginning. The thing is, I think the rest of the world is (slowly) starting to see that, too.
  13. Where did this "forensic report" come from?
  14. He went to the University of California @ Berkely, majoring in "Social Welfare." He left after his junior year to jump to the NFL. So the answer is, "maybe."
  15. Thanks. One would have to assume some degree of 'writing on the wall' with respect to the Spiller pick, in Lynch's mind.
  16. Lynch isn't doing himself any favors, given his disciplinary problems and somewhat of a regression last year. If he had kept his nose clean and had a >1k yard season, that would be a different scenario. In 2007 he only played in 13 games (same as last year) and had > 1k yards, whereas last year he had 450. Granted he had over 2x the carries in 2007 than he did last year, but still, those are the numbers. Last season was his worst in yards/rushing attempt as well. It seems that Lynch just wants out of Buffalo, period.
  17. Hear, hear! Or any other damn person unto which I want to bestow my worldly stuff. Not that I have a lotta worldly stuff to bestow, mindya...... If I want to leave someone a car, does the gummint take one of the tires? A cylinder or two? A window? Couple of floormats? If I want to leave someone my guitar, does the gummint get to take some strings? Chop off the headstock? Couple of tuners? Pickguard?
  18. I going with John Locke in a sideways flash. Man, that dude could do just about anything.
  19. Hey pal......"Lost" is over. No more sideways flashes for you.
  20. Saints. Doesn't matter who the other team is.
  21. Especially after a night of world-class imbibement.
  22. This one is NOT funny. This guy needs to be locked away.
