  1. This began a decade ago (2000), continued for 3 years (2000-2002) but the accuser didn't come forward until March 2009? I am in no way making light of the situation if it's true, but this much of a time lapse is odd.
  2. I don't disagree with you. I think they will have some learning and growing pains this season, for sure. I think by the end of the season though, they will be playing at a level where no team will be taking them for granted any longer. This is going to be a transitional season, but should end on a positive upswing. Speaking of injuries, if Sanchez goes down, that's it for the Jets. Same for Brady and the Pats. Miami will be okay if Henne goes down and Pennington can still play. Buffalo won't be too much worse off if the starter, whoever that is, goes down and the backup takes over.
  3. They will play better, that I am fairly sure of, at least during the 2nd half of the season when they get settled in with the new offensive and defensive schemes. Hopefully, that will carry over into the win column. The problem is that I think the Dolphins and Jets will be better, too. Henne and Sanchez will have another year under their belts, both teams have good coaches and both teams have made good upgrades.
  4. Gailey's ability to tailor an offense to the talent he has and not try to cram a system down the players throats that they aren't suited for. I think this just might be the biggest factor of all. Bum Phillips once said about Don Shula, "He can take his'n and beat your'n and take your'n and beat his'n." Take what you've got and utilize the reverse Peter Principle.
  5. ....annnnnnd here we go again..... Link: Iran sending ships to Gaza
  6. When the Bills end up somewhere other than 3rd or 4th in the AFC East, let's revisit this.
  7. God bless Lloyd Braun. Network TV is back to 99% crap now that LOST has ended.
  8. Now it remains to be seen what the outcome of this will be. How the ownership works out, who the companies & workers will be and how the profits are distributed.
  9. Agreed on all points. The dark side of me really likes #2.
  10. Mark Sanchez pops Rex Ryan's butt zits. How's that?
  11. Different out of the box? Yep. Better out of the box? Cautiously optimistic. Hard to imagine a more bewildered team than last year.
  12. You and I both know it is not related to Islam per se. It IS related to those who under the cloak of Islam, in this case, commit terrorist acts and get others to commit terrorist acts. If I see you, I will be sure to stop and say hello.
  13. I'm not denying anything. I am asking if you really expect anyone to take a website like that as a reliable source of information? You can't be that gullible, either! So we're both in Miami Lakes? Holy crap. Maybe we'd better start being a little nicer to each other.
  14. The thing about this is that each person has their own version of "what really happened and how it all got started." Discussions can start out rationally and then completely disintegrate into a shouting match of, "Stop the Rockets" vs "Get out of our land." Both parties are convinced they are morally right and historically correct. But whenever there is prolonged and sustained conflict between 2 entities, you can nearly always be sure of one thing; someone has a vested interest in keeping this thing going. Maybe we should all stop and take a look at that.
  15. Please tell me you aren't using this as an actual source of reliable information. To paraphrase an old blues song, "You must be tryin' to fool yourself, 'cause you sure ain't foolin' me."
  16. Excuse me sir, but by "attacking", I assume you are talking about Hamas attacking Israel by launching thousands of rockets indiscriminately from Gaza? Yes, that would be the same Gaza that was in perfectly good working order when Israel pulled out and handed it over.
  17. That is one of the most glaring problems the Bills have. The majority of the check down passes that I saw only went 1-2 steps after the catch. At that point, the receiver was hit and the gain was catch + 3-6 yards at best. A) The offense was so predictable, the receivers were nearly always covered B) The receivers weren't elusive enough to avoid being tackled C) The receivers weren't strong enough to break tackles The OL wasn't able to give the QB time to set up and wait for deep routes to develop. Defensive coverage behind the deep receiver(s) made it dangerous to throw to the spot the where the deep receiver should be. That pretty much left check downs and the running game to provide the majority of the offense. Let's see what Gailey and company are going to do to turn that around.
  18. Because there isn't a reasonable explanation to be given? There is just one explanation: Provocation.
  19. Over the years, the blueprint for championship teams has changed. Running wins championships, defense wins championships and now passing wins championships. And it will stay that way until a team comes along and does it some other way, at which point everybody and their brother will analyze them to death and create the new blueprint for a championship team. 'Tis the nature of the beast.
  20. Which, as we all know, is careless. Ahem.
