Chan has made it about as clear as possible, they're going with what they've got. I don't begrudge you fantasizing about Smith or having regrets about Campbell or Clausen. It just strikes me as a continuing exercise in frustration and you could add a lot more to TBD than that. Not trying to be rude, just maybe hoping to point you in a more productive direction.

I think that is a valid point. I'm not sure we will ever completely realize the scope of Dicky the J's ineptitude. The best food prepared by a crappy chef is still going to be......well.....crappy. (Note: this is NOT a snarky reference to our own Chef Jim....JFTR) That being said, there is no doubt that JP had (has) some inherent bad habits which he may minimize, but in all probability never eliminate. He would never have been the 2nd coming of Kelly, but he certainly could have been used better by Jauron. Let's hope that Chan's past history of getting the most out of his QB's pays dividends this season.

Oh...it doesn't hurt. But is it helpful? ONLY when the recruiter has IMMEDIATE $$ in front of their eyeballs. Otherwise, in my experience, they don't return phone calls or emails if you're not an impending hire. Completely inconsiderate, unprofessional and disrespectful. You are bait to them. Nothing more. As long as you go into it with that mindset, you're okay.

Is this a record?

Only if they have an immediate job they can plug you into and get their commission, do they help. Otherwise, they disappear like relatives who owe you money. That continues to be my experience.
