  1. The DC has been clueless for 25, going on 26 games. If Wannstedt isn't promoted to DC 60 seconds after game 16 is over, there is some serious hoo hah going on at OBD.
  2. I'd play the numbers with you if this team had some.....(read: any)....resemblance to an actual NFL team. I'd take a glimmer. A shrapnoid, even. Chan's lost 'em. Thought I'd never say it, but he has.
  3. Hence the quote, unquote.
  4. Mathematically, it would be possible for me to walk out my front door and find $1,000,000 and the keys to a new Ferrari. In fact, that seems more likely.
  5. I only see 2 quote winnable unquote games the rest of the season, the way they're playing....Tennessee and Denver. Even those look like a reach now.
  6. are we mathematically out of the "Suck for Luck" sweepstakes? Can we buy our way back in?
  7. Soon to be Dewey, Dropem and Howe.
  8. It looks like things are going from worse to worserer every week. We know the defense can't stop anyone besides Washington, but now they can't score, either? I thought Chan would be able to get them back on track but except for Freddy, the offense - including Fitz, seems to have become predictable and inept. Painful to watch. Starting with the Jets game, every team have our offensive game plan in their pocket. .....and another interception.....worserer and worserer........
  9. Oh man, this is the pits. Can't stop anyone, can't score. What's left?
  10. holy crap, i just tuned in. 21-3 already? Do we look that wretched?
  11. As we like to say regarding the weather, "You should have been here next week." Lets hope we win this one. Enjoy!
  12. We can't. It's The Crystalline Entity's personal wading pool.
  13. and the steadily mounting injuries, no deep threat, a wretched DC who should never have been retained and no one capable of anything remotely resembling a pass rush don't help either. Injuries to the key starters have really had a tremendous impact. We have a glaring lack of depth behind the starters.
  14. You and those 14 or so other people, personify America.
  15. Pretty much like the Holy Stimulus, methinks.
  16. Fins smell Buffalo blood. I am worried because the two teams are headed in opposite directions and key injuries are piling up for the Bills. I think My Yami wins this one. I hope I'm wrong. My 2nd favorite thing is to read the Herald Monday morning after a Bills win over the Fins.
  17. George Edwards
  18. I think Edwards is a wretched DC. The offense was supposed to be horrible too, but up until the last 2 games they played very well with essentially the same personnel as last year MINUS Lee Evans. That being said, Edwards hasn't been able to do anything with the defense even remotely close to what Gailey has (had) been able to do with the offense. T'HAT being said, we have no one left that is capable of generating a pass rush, Edwards or no Edwards. No one. I don't know that Edwards would have any more success with a legitimate pass rusher, but we're certainly not going to find out this season. And if the front office has any synapses left, they will replace Edwards with Wannstedt during the off season, which they should have done last off season.
  19. Except for the Washington game, which I think we can all safely call an anomaly, we have had no real dependable pass rush. And now with Williams, Merriman and Kelsy out, it has flat out disappeared. We've been consistently bad at stopping the run and the pass coverage isn't far behind. Without any pressure on the QB, even mediocre ones have all day to stand back there and pick us apart, which puts the defense on its heels and then the run defense starts giving up huge chunks. George Edwards is in way over his head as a DC, but he has a lot of sub standard players to work with that wouldn't be starting on any other team. Maybe not even 2nd string. If that sounds like I'm making excuses for Edwards, I'm not. I've been calling for him to be replaced since the middle of last season. The front office has turned the draft into Russian roulette with a dash of Tourette's syndrome thrown in for comedic relief, Marcel Dareus being an obvious exception. The front office has made inexplicably bad extensions and let good players leave. I hope I'm wrong, but this is starting to have the feel of Groundhog Day Part II. The Bills face planted against the Jets and then stomped all over a field full of rakes in Dallas. Whatever Gailey and Fitz had going seems to have gone. Will they get it back? We'll see against Miami, but I dont' have a good feeling about that game.
  20. It's halftime. I'll go 41-14 Dallas.
  21. I'm not sure either of the other guys like him. He really monopolizes the conversation. I sort of wish Jaws would smack him in the back of his head a few times.
  22. Well...you're living up to your avatar, that's for sure.....
  23. Like when Corey Mcintyre was charged with a sex act? Or when Bill Clinton was impeached for canoodling around with Lweinski? Which one?
  24. I agree with you.....as long as they have an OL to keep him intact and give him a deep threat, which we are lacking right now. Fitz seems to have no memory of bad plays and that is a huge plus for him along with his intelligence. His arm strength is vastly underestimated. I have seen him scream-air it in there when necessary. Give him a legitimate deep threat and this offense is scha-mokin.
