Finally, a real example of why the mail service is so crappy. -
Whoever doesn't want a QB at #3 is dillusional
DrFishfinder replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not to mention that by the beginning of the 4th Q, the D is gassed, injuries are more likely to occur and they've got to be getting demoralized. Or is that dimoraized? Anyway, the offense, which is NOT built for quick strikes, now HAS to go for quick strikes. I'm not opposed to pulling the trigger on a franchise QB, but I really don't think this draft has one that stands out. That being said, if Nix doesn't go after a QB in the 1st round, he isn't really going after a franchise QB this year. And I'm okay with that, too. -

Shouldn't the GAS (Great Almighty School) be teaching the kids what healthy food is so that the kids can educate their parents on what to make them for lunch? "MooOOooOooom.....I don't want the peanut butter and jelly sandwich....I want ...... wait for it........ it's killing you, isn't it....... oooOOooOOohhhgodooogodooogod..... 3........2..........1............... I'm not surprised you're having a tough time believing my age. I never, ever defended Dickie the J. Ever. EVER. Got it? The rest of your post is rehash with the exception of you stating that you are not going to support a loser. Now there's a surprise. Define "loser." No. I do not think the HC is necessarily responsible for players brought in under his watch. What proof do you have that Gailey has the final say in that? Any? Again: you don't like Gailey or Mr. Wilson. You don't support losers. We get it. I get it. The whole effing board gets it. How many more times are you going to feel compelled to restate the same points over and over again? I'm a fan of the Buffalo Bills, whether they're winning 4 AFC Championships in a row or 2-14. I was born in Buffalo General Hospital and my dad was a Fire Fighter for the city of Buffalo....Engine 18. They are MY team. They were my Dad's team, his entire life. I thought Jauron was utterly useless and that the team won in spite of him, not because of him. That is my "opinion", not egotistically and erroneously defined as "truth." Opinion. I disliked Jauron more than you will ever dislike Gailey and Mr. Wilson, combined. And I bitched, pissed, railed and moaned about him on this board a LOT. But. Somewhere along the line, I decided that I had made my point, stated my point and should move on. No hard feelings, Harv. You are entitled to your opinions.

A few more things to wrap this up: I have been a Bills fan since their inception into the AFL. That's considerably before you. You don't like Gailey or Mr. Wilson. Or much of anything else regarding the Bills, from what you've written. You like to rail piss, B word and moan. Got it. Done.
-
You're playing both sides of the fence regarding Gailey. It's "entirely his fault" that the OL was bad but he was "darn lucky Fitz was still there." You dislike Gailey and that's fine. I didn't care much for the choice originally, either. But there is no point in continuing this conversation with you if you are going to dump all of the blame for one thing on Gailey and then call him "lucky" for something that worked out fairly well. You just continue to rail at loser coaches and Ralph, there Harv. And if guys like me didn't fill the stadium, you could be bitching about some other NFL team/coach/owner other than the Bills. In fact, I recommend it.
-
I should have said, ".....it's not fair to dump those two on ANYBODY's doorstep." IMO, no coach could have done anything with those two. And though you have a valid point about prepping Edwards as the starter, it would be equally fair to say Gailey also had Fitz ready to go too, no? I am defending Gailey against what I consider to be unfair criticism from people who are looking for a scapegoat to dump the miserable state of affairs on. It has taken many years and many bad moves by persons other than Gailey to put the team where it is. Are you sure that Gailey was the one who is solely responsible for drafting Spiller? If the team loads up and doesn't make significant improvement, then I will look at the whole picture and if Gailey is part of the problem, I will candidly admit it.
-
What the hell are you trying to say in your first sentence? Look Harve.....when construct the sentence, read before button press. Everyone knows that Edwards swan song was the Arizona smack down. And Gailey had a crappy, injured, OL to work with last year. To wit: In 2009, Edwards played 8 games and got sacked 23 times. In 2010, Fitz played 13 games and got sacked 24 times.
-
2. I think that would be Travis Henry.
-
What the hell are you talking about? I never even inferred either of those two statements.
-
Fair enough. The million $$ question is, "Who do they think will do more for the team now, a top defensive pick at #3 and a QB in the 2nd or 3rd, or Newton/Gabbert at #3 and defense starting in round 2?" Hell, A.J. Green or Julio Jones wouldn't surprise me.

Just noticed something about this draft

So these comparisons are being made without Mallett, Ponder and Locker playing one NFL down yet? Ummm...... -
Boy....ain't THAT the truth! The greatest chef in.the world isn't going to make ground beef into a porterhouse. Edwards has turned into a head case and Brohm just doesn't have the talent. Neither one is coachable. It's not fair to dump those two on Gailey's doorstep.

Very "arguably." And we already had your namesake and Fast Freddy plus a host of other needs.

Since I live in My Yami, anytime we beat the Dolphins.

Unless there is some inside information from someone who has access to the inner circle, it has become impossible to make an educated guess as to who the Bills are after with their top pick. I was surprised by the CJ pick last year, as were a lot of people. I certainly can't see through the smoke screens, so I have no idea whether they'll go for Newton/Gabbert, or with a defensive player, or trade down (or up, I suppose). My gut tells me there's more upside to a defensive player with the #3 pick than Newton/Gabbert, but I have no idea what to expect Hope you can share info as you get it. It really is much appreciated. Same for Never Say Die.

So if we get some "players" on the front 7 and the D still stinks, is it because they really aren't "players" at all, or because the DC is in over his head? Granted the Bills seem to lack talent on D, but how many times have we seen former Bills players go to other teams and play well? I'm willing to give Edwards some benefit of doubt, but if the Bills land some big time defensive players and the D still gets manhandled the way they did last year, it's George. -
And why would you guess that? Do you have a (3)?

Just to clarify, I really do appreciate the OP's time and effort to post this...so "Thank you." It really is nice to see some solid stuff like this. -
Did you ever work for GE? I did. Want to know why I am not still working for GE?

While the Bills lack of talent defensively (and offensively) is certainly a moot point: If you always do what you always did you always get what you always got. So if you are George Edwards, and your run defense is getting torched, and you continue to do the same damn thing, WTF are you there for?
