  1. With all due respect, you don't know that the Bucs will hire or pick up or draft anything worth anything, or win another superbowl for that matter. Unless of course, you are the next incarnation of Nostradamus. The current team is overachieving, agreed. They are fun to watch and I like them, Garcia, Gruden and company. I hope they do well. And not to rain on this parade too much, but the Colts, Rams and Cardinals (just to mention a recent few) all bailed on their cities and fans, thanks to greedy owners.
  2. It's definitely a credit to Belichick that he has retooled the team around Cassell's abilities. Cassell has played a lot better than I thought he would. Credit where credit is due, Mr. Bruschi.
  3. Because Cassell has now had 9 games to get his feet under him and get in sync with the offense. As bad as Cassell was whenever he would come in for Brady (and he was horrible), he has played fairly well in the offensive scheme that Belichick has put together for him. The Pats are relying on Cassell to not lose games and he hasn't. If Cassell goes out, whoever steps in will be without any game experience this season. NE has Matt Gutierrez and Kevin O'Connell as backup QB's. O'Connell has thrown for 25 yards, Gutierrez for 0. Cassell has 4 years in the NFL, all with NE I believe. Gutierrez has 2 years, O'Connell is a rookie I think. So if Cassell goes down, NE is down to Gutierrez (2 years) or O'Connell (rookie). Probably more than you wanted to know.
  4. OK...a hypothetical question here.... What happens to your newfound loyalty to the Bucs if they sink to your predefined level of mediocrity? Do you go looking for another team? Just wondering.....
  5. Yes. Will the Bills do it? Not the way they're playing at this point. They're looking like 7-9 or 8-8.
  6. The OL did do a better job of pass blocking VS NE, but they still can't run block or pick up blitzes worth a pig's ear. Fixing the OL has to be the #1 priority for this team to get a sniff at the playoffs.
  7. Agreed for the most part. But....things change. Favre or Casssell goes down and so do the Jets and Pats. The Bills OL is a bunch of lard buckets. About the only good thing is that they did a better job of pass protecting VS NE. Buffalo's defense is banged up and the offense is out of sync. The defense will get healthy and the offense has the ability to get back in sync (whether they do or not is another question). It all starts, or stops, with the offensive line. If the management & staff can fix that, this team will have the potential to go deep into the playoffs.
  8. And why exactly, are you here? Posting critical (but accurate) comments about the team is one thing but slamming fans is quite another. This is just a mean-spirited and pointless post.
  9. I fault Fewell a lot more than Schonert. Schonert has a bunch of lard buckets on the OL. Biggest, fattest, laziest, least talented group possibly playing today. Fewell steadfastly REFUSES to put any pressure on opposing QB's and stubbornly REFUSES to make any changes in the defensive scheme when his defense is getting torched.
  10. This team has such little faith in their offensive line, they are avoiding running on 3rd and 1 or 2 yards. That's pathetic.
  11. When Fewell only calls 2 blitzes a game, any DE is going to look like ours.
  12. It isn't Jauron as much as it is Fewell. Schonert calls the offensive plays. Fewell REFUSES to call more than 2 blitzes per game. The Pats blitzed on 2 of Buffalo's first 3 offensive plays. The 1st blitz knocked TE down. The 2nd blitz produced a sack. Fewell steadfastly and stubbornly refuses to put any pressure on opposing QB's. Fewell needs to go after the season is over.
  13. I'll go with 10.
  14. Oh yeah? Tarzan Tyler The Medics Haystack Calhoun Dick the Bruiser Ivan Putski The Great Malenko (one of my favorites....SO over the top) Arn Anderson Nick Bockwinkle Lou Thez Bruno Samartino
  15. me three. Since when has it ever been, "it is what it isn't"?
  16. I doubt you're going to see a lot of them. This offensive line can't pass protect or pick up blitzes for sh-- (not to mention they can't run block either). The way the running game is going though, Edwards is going to HAVE to throw a lot.
  17. It is not I who am crazy, it is I who am mad! (or something to that effect)
  18. Don't whizz on the electric fence!!!
  19. If Fewell actually calls a "fair share" of blitzes and we can't get to the QB, then how in the hell are other teams getting to OUR QB's so much? A- Our offensive line is a bunch of lard buckets B- Our defensive blitzes and blitzers are pathetic C- Other offensive lines are THAT much better than our defense and our offensive line is THAT much worse than other defenses
  20. Bread and butter? Fewell calls blitzes what....2 times a game? We are getting little to no pressure on opposing QB's.
  21. Ooooops..... But fire that idiot anyway!
  22. I disagree on one point: The OL has NO talent. At least, not that I've seen so far. Can't pass block, can't run block, can't pick up blitzes. Either that or Fewell has been telling a bunch of talented athletes to just stand there and pick dingleberries out of their nether regions.
  23. I'm not sure what ails the country politically. I'm not sure there IS a political ailment. But greedy institutions lending money to people who can't pay it back seems to be one helluvan economic ailment.
  24. The OL needs to be upgraded. No pass blocking, no blitz pickup, no run blocking. Trade Fewell.
  25. Don't worry. Obama will sit down and talk without preconditions and then....um.....er....uh....
