Reed is getting open AND hangs onto the ball. Don't know that can be said accross the board regarding the other receivers. I haven't been able to review games to see if Evans is having problems getting open deep.

Either the OL stopped opening holes or Marshawn started dancing around. Big difference from the running game in the 1st half. I though ML was going to have 200 yards the way he was running in the 1st quarter. Marshawn seemed to be running sideways most of the 2nd half. I honestly don't know if that is because the OL got stuffed or Marshawn has a habit of running sideways looking for holes instead of running due north. I get too caught up in the game to look objectively at those things.

Bills need to run the ball the way they did against Cleveland and Edwards needs to snap out of his slump. If so, we'll be ok.

I haven't heard one commentator, writer or analyst lobby for JP to replace Edwards. JP has never shown NFL quality game management skills. He takes sack after sack after sack, rather than throw the ball away. He's a one dimensional (OK, two dimensional if you count his running ability) QB that keeps waiting for receivers to get open 20+ yards downfield. Edwards was rated in the top 5 QB's at the beginning of the year. JP ever done that? Edwards has the potential, and is in a slump. It's that simple.

At least TE has shown the "potential" that JP never did. TE has shown better game management skills, accuracy, willingness to take what the defense is giving and 4th quarter comebacks. JP never showed any of those things IMO. Eli Manning didn't set the world on fire in his first 20 games, either. Even last year, Manning was 10-6, threw 20 picks and fumbled 13 times. And look what happened. Coughlin believed Manning had the "potential" and even when he was playing badly, kept him in there and gave him the opportunity to play through the slumps and learn from it. Neither JP nor Hamdan is going to win games for Buffalo and putting them in isn't going to help TE, either. The management has to let TE play through the end of the season and believe that he has the potential to regain the form and poise he showed at the beginning of the year. If TE didn't show that potential in the first 6 games, that would be a different matter.

You may be right. Watching the game live doesn't give me that perspective.

If the US product is good, and expensive (i.e. twice the price of the foreign product) but not appreciably any better than the same product made elsewhere, what would you realistically expect the general public to do? Especially in these economic times? I would love to buy things made in the US, but I'm certainly not going to spend double the money for well intentioned, patriotic reasons.

The offense is having trouble staying on the field for sustained drives and by the 4th quarter, the defense is gassed and giving up 8 and 9 minute drives. Not to mention we keep having to put in backups because our defensive starters are out. I'm not convinced that Fewell is flexible enough to change things up when the defense is getting toasted, either.

Well, when the team is playing like crap, what do you expect, accolades and praise? Get used to the bashing when they lose and praise when they win. Just like every other team and its fans, my friend.
