  1. Perhaps because doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is an exercise in futility?
  2. Nah....let him play. By the end of the NE game, he will have played himself right out of the NFL.
  3. Don't forget the Brady-less Patriots, whom just about everyone wrote off for the season. Cassell comes in and plays like a bona fide starter and JP comes in and plays like ....... well.......the same JP we've had the displeasure of seeing every year he's been in Buffalo. However, Sparano in My Yami is living proof what a good coach can do with an underachieving team. Do you think that fact will be lost on Wilson? History says.........yes.
  4. In the words of Yogi Berra, "I'll belive it when I believe it". I have a hunch that Ralph keeps Dickie The J and consequently I get a lot more spare time to go fishing on Sundays next season.
  5. Amen. Hardy will be out of the NFL in another 2 years. Another brilliant (wasted) draft choice by the crack (smoking) management.
  6. I catagorically refuse to watch the Bills next year if Jauron is back as HC.
  7. "Unhappiness with Jauron as the head coach"? That is THE understatement of the year. The only reason I can think of not to fire Jauron immediately is that Schonert would probably be his replacement.
  8. Where has Lee Evans been for the second half of the season? Is he even trying anymore?
  9. I said that after the My Yami game. It was obvious at that point, that this year's team and coaching staff will find any way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. It's so pathetic, it's laughable.
  10. Given the psychotic nature of the Bills, since their season is down the tubes and the Jets are favored by 7 or so, they will probably win and us idiots (me) will be idiotic enough to think those idiots have turned their idiotic selves around and have some idiotic hope that they're not going to play like idiots any more.
  11. Winning 2 of the last 3 would be like eating a rancid steak and saying, "Well, the last 2 bites were okay".
  12. Think of it as watching JP play himself right out of the NFL.
  13. Betcha Al Davis thinks he's the next coming of Jim Plunkett and picks him up.
  14. Yeah, I'm on board with that. Plus, the more JP plays, the more he hurts his chances of being picked up by anyone other than Detroit or Oakland. I think the Bills management and coaching staff really need to see Hamdan under game conditions.
  15. Talent can go to waste unless it is led and motivated properly. Use business as an example. If the owner/management has a "talented" workforce that is not meeting performance goals, isn't it up to the owner/management to refocus and motivate them? If the workforce isn't capable of meeting the performance goals, that is another thing. They need to be replaced. But if they are capable, and they aren't doing it, as a business owner, it is incumbent upon me to do something to refocus and remotiviate them. That is part of my job. If I don't do that, then I'm not doing MY job. Granted I don't see what's going on behind the scenes at One Bills Drive, but I don't see any evidence of this team getting refocused or remotivated. It looks like the ownership and management are just standing there and watching the ship go down.
  16. It actually looked like we might finally BE that team this year. We were actually finding ways to win games when we weren't playing all that well and were behind in the 4th quarter. Boy, did THAT mirage evaporate in a hurry.
  17. I hope you are right, but I fear it's like watching the same old movie and hoping it has a different ending. But, at this point there's really nothing left to do but wait for the 2009 season, I guess.
  18. LOL!!! That was great! I'll bet Dubya was continually surprised at what popped out. "Hey Laura, lissin to this one...."
  19. The Bills haven't been playing (or coaching) for several weekends. They show up physically, but that's about it.
  20. I hear you, but how many years have we been collectively saying that now? Ever since the Levy/Kelly era, its been, "If we only had a <insert missing piece here>". This is really getting pathetic. Especially the monumental collapse of 2008.
  21. The Curse of Norv. He could drive off in a brand new Rolls Royce and the wheels would fall off after 16 miles.
  22. I'll add one more thing that I can't prove, but strongly suspect; the receivers are not getting open enough. Yeah, I know that from time to time they'll show a clip of Evans or Parrish standing all by his lonesome, flapping his arms like a lunatic while the QB looks blissfully elsewhere. But those are few and far between. However..... Without having the luxury of being able to watch recorded games and follow the receivers around, I have to believe that at least part of the problem is that they aren't getting open enough for the QB to pull the trigger. Evans in particular and Reed being the exception. If there ever was a time for Evans to turn on the afterburners, it was the last game with JP at QB. Evans is/was JP's bread and butter. Pfffft. And thanks for not answering for me! Some other posters on TSW would do well to adopt those manners.
  23. I wish I had some solid idea as to why he has looked so good one week and so horrible the next. I think the potential is there but the consistancy is not.
  24. "Buy tickets or I swear I'll bring back Kay Stephenson".
  25. That's not weird in the least. Does anyone, anywhere, seriously expect JP to suddenly eliminate all his bad habits that are so pointedly documented by every commentator and sports writer in the business? Anyone?.......... I didn't think so.
