  1. Agreed. I don't know why anyone would think that Ralph gives a horses patoot what the fans think. Although it sounds harsh, Ralph is living on borrowed time. And he is 90 years old..... who knows what his decision making skills are at this point? I sure don't. I'm fairly certain that Ralph and his family are trying to do what's best for THEM, financially. Ralph has had a great run and is a pioneer in the NFL. But he's nearing the end of the journey and my guess is he's wrapping things up. I know if I were in Ralph's position, I would be doing what is best for my family first, and what is best for the Bills, second. I think most of us would.
  2. Like upgrading from a guppy to a goldfish.
  3. So based on your opinion, if a company's management makes bad decisions and the employees execute those bad decisions at 100% effectiveness, the company will be successful?
  4. ...and I could be a lottery winner!!!
  5. Hell, when Brady went down the Pats were going to be duking it out with My Yami for the AFC East cellar, as I recall.
  6. That may very well be more of an indictment on coaching or scheme than on the player's abilities. Apart from the top tier players in the NFL, there's not that big of a difference between the rest of the players. If you agree with that statement, then it comes down to the scheme and the coaching moreso than the players raw abilities. Plug a reasonably good player into a good scheme with good coaching and he turns into a ..... well a Jim Leonhard.
  7. Only if we sign Irving "Came in Through the Bathroom Window" Spikes along with him.
  8. I would agree that to this point, Tebow hasn't displayed the pure throwing ability that grabs your attention. However IMO, and it's only an opinion, I think he does possess the ability and given the right system and coaching, he would develop into a much better QB than most people think. We all know that throwing mechanics and a live arm are no guarantee for NFL success. That's why I think it is in his best interest to stay at UF for one more year and work on those things.
  9. Good receivers shouldn't do that. Agreed about good QB's and separation. Evans seems gun-shy in that respect. That may be an ingrained habit that could be very hard to break.
  10. Couldn't agree more. Wonder what Marv would say (or has said) about Jauron now. Certain players have said that Jauron has them ready to play and well coached, that they are the ones who aren't executing. Could be a valid point, but still does not let Jauron off the hook for the numerous gaffes, however.
  11. I tried some Stanton's, but they couldn't hold a candle to the warmth, clarity and presence of the Ortofon.
  12. Reminds me of Kelly. Remember, Kelly went to UM because most other colleges wanted him to play defensively (LB). UM gave him a shot at the QB position and the rest is, well we all know. If Tebow is smart, he will stay at UM one more year and concentrate on his passing and pocket skills. That just may give him the time to develop and showcase those abilities. That being said, I would still take him right now and put him in as backup QB. Unquestionable heart, desire, motivation and leadership skills. I think he will surprise a lot of people. Proven winner, impeccable character and an attitude that the Bills could really use right now.
  13. Not to mention the receivers, by which I mean someone besides Reed, getting separation, staying with the routes to the end of the play and actually getting open. All too many times this year, I have seen receivers give up on routes before the play is over. The illustrious Mr. Evans, included.
  14. I had one of those too. Not bad with an Ortofon on it.
  15. Hmmm....an iTable, huh?
  16. Yes, I think I did too. I don't know where my head was.....ahem. Actually, I think I do but I'm not going to go there....
  17. I would disagree and say that based on Jauron's well documented, numerous mistakes this year, there is NO other more pressing issue than coaching. Would one expect a badly managed company, with good employees, to perform well? Not in my business.
  18. I would love for the Bills to go after Tebow with a vengance. I can see him becoming another Kelly, very easily. Heart, drive, motivation, desire. Those that doubt his ability to become a force as an NFL quarterback are going to be surprised. Remember that in college, Kelly went to UM because most other colleges wanted him to play LB.
  19. Ouch! Put in a clause stating that he can't hang out with Big Ben.
  20. If you do a side-by-side comparison between a high end CD player and a high end turntable/stylus/cartridge and good vinyl (pref master recording) both through a high end audio system/speakers, the CD will sound like you're playing it through a mattress compared to the vinyl/turntable. Unless you hear the difference yourself, you would never, ever believe it.
  21. UF will win because of the motivation, drive and desire of a guy named Tebow; who BTW, we should go all out for and draft. This guy will turn into another Kelly in the NFL....marketh my words.
  22. Here's another... Since we agree that the buck stops at Jauron, the defensive buck should as well. The defense, while not as big a problem as the offense, is still a problem. Fewell's defense gave up too many 7 or 8 minute game killing drives in the 4th quarter and gave up too many opening drive touchdowns that put the Bills down by 7 before the sputtering offense got it's first 3 and out. Fewell's D continually got torched with slants and quick outs. All-year-long. Not to mention the almost complete lack of a pass rush. It's Fewell's defense and Fewell is Jauron's responsibility. I know the offense is the bigger problem, but the defense needs some serious tweaking too. So can Jauron major in offense and minor in defense? Is he capable of accomplishing the primary job of getting the offense on track yet still oversee improvements to the defense? Is he a micro manager? Does he delegate instead and give Schonert and Fewell free rein? It didn't seem that Jauron could handle the offensive side of the game last year, regardless of whether he was calling the plays or Schonert. Jauron has 2 bucks on his desk. Offense and defense...special teams is ok thanks to April. I hope that Jauron doesn't concentrate on the offense to the exclusion of Fewell and the defense. I don't have very much confidence in Fewell after watching his defense this season. He was unchanging, unimaginative and inflexible. Since the first loss to Miami, the defense gave up 224 points in 9 games, almost 25 points/game. That's one buck Jauron had better not let sit on his desk too long.
  23. Definitely Ortofon! Best stylus and cartridge a turntable could ever have.
  24. Can't really disagree with your points. But damn, Flutie was fun to watch and got the adrenaline going, didn't he?
  25. After 8 years, can I buy a "NO"?
