  1. The REALLY disturbing thing to me is that the players profess to have so much confidence in Jauron. If he's that good of a coach, then the players are simply awful.
  2. I don't disagree with you in principle. However I think that players being accountable to each other hold a lot less weight than bad coaching. THAT is the biggest problem. No matter who has whose back, if the coach calls boneheaded plays and can't manage the fricking time clock, veteran leadership is NOT going to compensate for that. Coaching is problem #1, everything else is secondary.
  3. Watch the last Bills/NE game and that should hold you for a couple of weeks.
  4. I agree with that, but coaching is the bigger problem. Do you honestly think that a vet player is going to make that big of a difference with Jauron calling the shots? I don't.
  5. Agreed. In business, Bad Management + Good Employees = Bad Results. We've beat the Jauron thing to death but the fact of the matter is that his record is a losing one, 7 of 8 seasons, with a monumental collapse, horrible clock management and boneheaded calls being his latest "accomplishment". Why anyone expects this trend to suddenly change is beyond me.
  6. Don't you think "that guy" should be the head coach and not a player? Since when are players "accountable" to another player? I agree that the team could use some leadership from the player's side, but I don't think that is going to offset the 4th miserable season of Jauron walking around like a Frozen Head. Not being sarcastic here, just pointing out that Bad Mangement + Good Employees = Bad Results.
  7. I'll bet you hate the Three Stooges, too! My wife feels about the same as you do about Fringe, but hangs in there and watches it with me anyway. I don't disagree about Olivia and Walter, and the whole thing is a cliche, but WTF....it's the kind of cliche that I find entertaining nonetheless.
  8. "Another year, same old Dick". Dr. Fishfinder
  9. Agreed that KC is bad, don't know that I'd put Denver in that category.
  10. This show is starting to go off track. The episodes that highlight the characters off the island are downright dull. The characters lose their snap. The relationships, which make things so interesting on the island, disintegrate. I really wish they would get back to the island where the dynamics are SO much better. And some black smoke monsters and invisible howling behemoths wouldn't hurt, either! I'm still going to watch, but the overload of detail is getting tiresome. Fringe on the other hand, rocks my socks off!
  11. I don't pay attention to either one, regardless of their particular schtick. They're both Howard Cosell's in that they don't care if you hate them or like them, as long as you pay attention to them. Whether they're acting "stupid" or acting "smart" is irrelevant.
  12. Edwards had some time to throw, Reed (at least) was getting open and ......Lord 'a Mighty.....Fewell actually had the 'nads to call some blitzes. If the Bills could do that consistantly, we just might see something besides yet another 7-9 season. The final 2 games the Bills won (KC, Denver), their defense gave up 54 points and the offense scored 84 points. In 6 out of the last 8 games (excluding KC & Denver) the Bills only scored 103 points.....only 19 points more than the KC & Denver wins combined....but over 6 games They gave up 170 points over the same 6 games (over 28 points - 4+ TD's/game). I haven't looked at the stats, but I would guess that the Bills lost the TOP on those games by a bundle. One of the biggest problems this season, IMO, was the lack of QB pressure on opponents. Many times the opponent ran off 7, 8 and 9 minuted game killing drives. While the offense needs a big dose of improvement, the defense in general and Fewell specifically, need a mega dose. If the Bills defense could force teams to more 3 and outs, they (theoretically) could run Lynch and Jackson, and crank out the same 7, 8 and 9 minute drives that other teams managed to do. The Bills defense got picked apart by way too many opposing QB's this season. Even in the KC and Denver games that they won.
  13. Rush is just another Howard Stern in a shirt & tie.
  14. That may be true, however the Cards are going to the SB and the Bills have another year of "Jauron Continuity" to look forward to. Who cares how you get there as long as you're there?
  15. Thank you! Would anyone expect a company with bad management but good employees to do well? This point is so painfully obvious, it hurts.
  16. He would be: "The Frozen Head" Some makeup so that his face would appear more gaunt, his eyes more sunken and his tongue hanging out one side of his mouth. Maybe some icicles hanging off his eyebrows for effect. His signature move would be: "The Stare" He would use "The Stare" to turn his unsuspecting opponents into Frozen Heads. Only move that can beat him: "The Laugh". No one has been able to accomplish this. Not even close. Everyone who has tried has been turned into a Frozen Head by The Stare. How his reign of terror comes to an end: Someone finally holds a mirror to his face when he uses "The Stare" and he stares himself into permanent and total frozenness. It takes a full 6 months before anyone notices the difference.
  17. Let's assume for a minute, that Marv now believes that hiring Jauron turned out to be a flop (it has). Since Jauron is under contract for next season and since Marv hired him, of course Marv is going to put a positive spin on things.
  18. It's more likely that 90 year old Ralph Wilson is getting closer to selling the team than investing in it. Don't look for Mr. Wilson to give the Bills a lot of money to spend.
  19. If Ralph is positioning the team for sale, I don't know that he would go out and spend a bundle on any of the above. He hasn't so far.
  20. At least this year, Evans didn't show the ability to get open consistantly or go up and fight for balls. Honestly, I'm surprised he got 1,000 yards this year. I think his motivation has dropped off.
  21. Some players are a problem, but coaching is the bigger problem. The players didn't screw up the time clock or call bone headed plays. I've been repeating for years that there's not a big difference between the mid level players in the NFL. If you agree with that statement, then coaching plays a very pivotal part. We have seen "average" players excel and "good" players play well under par in different systems and with different coaches. Would anyone expect a badly managed company to excel, even with "good" employees?
  22. Pittsburgh in a laugher. Pitt O > Arizona D Pit D > Arizona O Pitt Pressure/Sack Warner > Zona Pressure/Sack Roethlisberger I'd really love to see Zona win, but this is the end of their Cinderella Season.
  23. Was that a pic of Jauron's bedroom?
  24. Ralph is 90 and wrapping things up. It's pretty certain that fiancially, he can't pass it on to his family, so like any business owner, he's got to position his business for sale. Like just about anyone, his priority is most likely, family first. Who knows, he may already have the new owner(s) lined up and is setting the stage for that transaction.
  25. I think you're on the money. "The Curse of Norv" is alive and well. Bet SD is thinking long and hard about Gruden.
