One Andy Jackson says the Bills will not win more than 5 games next season. The schedule is outright brutal and with Jauron and his "consistancy" at the wheel, this is likely to be a loooong season, starting with the HOF game. Bad management + good employees = bad results.

Anaylysis on paper may indicate "better", but the most important indicator, which is the record, clearly does not. And I think we all are pretty much in agreement as to why the record is not more in sync with the stats.

As long as it doesn't cost Ralph a buncha jing, they could. Problem is, their "risky" picks turn out to be duds more often than not. I offer the Golden Arm of Tulane as an example.

Is our offensive line to big?????
DrFishfinder replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pssst........Jauron hasn't gotten to ".500 ball" in three seasons. I give you credit for your optimisim, though. My rose colored glasses broke. "Hope for the best, prepare for the worst" somebody -

You could be right about Preston. After the great 2008 nose-dive, I watched games mostly out of morbid fascination. Well...that and the fact that I can sit out on the back patio with the laptop, high speed wireless and a batch of cigars to do my part at eroding what's left of the ozone layer. Unless Jauron goes through some magical transformation from whateverthehell he is now, to an actual competent NFL head coach, I think our best hope is that the Bills are 1-7 or 2-6 by mid season and Ralph has to replace him. -

Kind of difficult to design a game plan around huge, ponderous blobs that can't run block, pass block or pick up blitzes. .....OK, that was a little harsh. Actually the OL played better towards the end of the season, especially pass blocking and blitz pickups. But rarely did the the RB's and the OL seem to be in sync in the running game, the operative word being "seem". Maybe it's me, but it appeared that Lynch got over 1k yds in spite of the OL, not because of them. I dunno.... after Jauron got his stay of execution, I'm bitching about everything. Hrmph. -
Wilson comments on current Bills
DrFishfinder replied to bisonbrigade's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Awareness is one thing, action is another. Nice to see #1 but rather irrelevant without #2. I'm not sure what or who can kickstart Ralph into action. Maybe a 2-6 record at mid season, media howling and tanking ticket sales? -
Didn't This Board Hate Wilson a Few Weeks Ago?

....on second thought, you're absolutely right. Ralph is a joke, his family is a joke, all his business dealings are a joke, the Bills are a joke, the AFL was a joke, the NFL is a joke and you are a jo...... er genious. Happy? -
Wilson comments on current Bills

I ain't gonna prove you wrong. Especially since no other part of the team seems to be able to pick up the slack. It would be different if we had a Baltimore type defense (for example) to compensate for the anemic offense. The receivers didn't kill themselves going out of their way to help Edwards out, either. That being said and given your correct assessment that the coaching staff bites the Big Barloonga, even if Trent's arm went all Elway on him, my money says Jauron will still find a way to coach this team into a vertical drop down a mine shaft. Five wins max next season. If there is a God, and He's paying attention, Jauron will be gone by the end of October. -

Ralph was elected to the HOF and rightly so. However, that election is based on his contributions to the NFL and past accomplishments. NOT on his hugely unpopular retention of Jauron. -

Well put! Depressing....but well put. -
Who really gives a crap what that female Howard Cosell says? If she didn't say outrageously incendiary things no one would pay any attention to her.

The Biggest problem with the Bills

Farthest from Buffalo
DrFishfinder replied to NavarreFL_Bills_Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oddly enough, it's Ralph Wilson himself. You might think he's from Detroit, but he really lives on the planet CHEAPTOR. Rumor is that he has a thing for the Jauronians. -
The Bills are NOT going to trade Lynch and even though Peters didn't deserve a Pro Bowl selection, unless he acts like a bigger jackass than he did last off-season, they won't trade him either. The Bills definitely need upgrading at certain positions, but the biggest problem is coaching. Unfortunately, we are going to have to live with Jauron until at least mid season. If the team is 1-7 or 2-6 at mid season, Jauron could get the ax. Here's the Bills 2009 opponents: Home: Miami, New England, N.Y. Jets, Houston, Indianapolis, Cleveland, New Orleans, Tampa Bay Away: Miami, New England, N.Y. Jets, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Kansas City, Atlanta, Carolina I don't see the Bills winning more than 3-5 games next season unless maybe Favre retires. So depending on the schedule, Jauron could very well be out of a job by the end of October. And ease up on the "retarded" stuff, ok?

Start from scratch.. Hire Peterson and Schottenhiemer
DrFishfinder replied to jms62's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're going to have to wait until Ralph sells the team. -
Reed is really a possession receiver. He doesn't stretch the field....he's more of a go-to receiver on 3rd down, and a good one at that. The Bills need someone besides Evans, to take the coverage off of Evans. Hardy dispayed below average hands and route running ability, rookie or not. On top of that, it's unlikely that Hardy will be completely healthy at the beginning of the season even if he improved on the above. The Bills really need someone to pull coverage off of Evans. Maybe someone will step up, but if there's a good WR (or TE) with speed available out there, the Bills (and Evans) could sure use it.

Bills need veteran leadership
DrFishfinder replied to billnutinphoenix's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The I think we both would agree that the Bills need to fix problem #1 before problem #2, yes?. If the boat is sinking you need to fix the leak before you fix the steering.
