  1. Sorry about your truck. Concerning Mr. Good $amaritan....things have a way of coming back, full circle. Not much consolation, I know, but one of these days, he will find himself in a similar situation. The world has a way of balancing these things out. All the best.
  2. ....and I personally don't care what Al Sharpton has to say about anything, anytime, anywhere. Ever.
  3. Well....it's gonna be a 3-4 defense, which eliminates the you-know-who's.
  4. And somehow, the players will coach themselves into the playoffs? The Bills have Evans, Lynch, Stroud, Poz, Mitchell, McKelvin and the biggest OL in the NFL. The Bills also have a HC with an 87.5% yearly losing record and who, after 8 years at that position, regressed to the point where he was eviscerated for bone headed play calling and kindergarten clock management. But the problem is the players? Maybe it's me, but I think that if players are coached poorly, even very good players, you are more likely to get bad results than good ones. I fail to see how this consistently losing coach is going to somehow, miraculously turn thing around in his 9th year when he failed to so so in his 6th, 7th AND 8th (not to mention the other 4 losing seasons). I would like nothing more than to be proven wrong. But eye don theen so, Ceesco.
  5. Not if the Israeli's have their fingers on the buttons.
  6. With any luck, those explosives will be remote controlled and soon there will be a few less Hamas terrorists on this earthly veil.
  7. Thank you for the Kelso info. Confirms my suspicions, at least partially. At this point, it seems that Hardy has earned a question mark by his name. Dropped too many balls and routes not good enough in year one. Add to that, the injury and high probability of missing some games at the beginning of year two, and it doesn't look as though he is even capable of making any impact until the last half of year two. Johnson was a surprise to me, only because he was way underneath my radar. So Hardy is unlikely to become the real #2 until mid season at the earliest, and Johnson would still qualify as a surprise. A pleasant surprise, but a surprise nonetheless. The Bills still need someone to pull the consistent double coverage off of Evans. He isn't Larry Fitzgerald who can go up and out muscle practically every DB in the NFL. At this point, there isn't another WR with enough of a deep threat to do it and deep backs aren't going to come up to cover a TE. So even though Buffalo really needs a bona fide pass catching TE (as opposed to Royal who is good for about 50% dropped passes), they still need a deep decoy at least. There isn't anyone other than Evans who represents a deep threat and the other teams know it.
  8. Cardinals D was not very good early in the season. Ditto for Seattle. I don't believe that receivers "can't" get open either. I do suspect however, that all too often, in the last half of the season, they were not getting open. This could very well be a case where things just snowball. Receivers get open, the QB, for whatever reason(s) doesn't get the ball to them and at some point the receivers start pulling up on deeper routes because they feel they're not going to get the ball anyway. Early in the season, TE was getting blasted by blitzes until the OL started doing a better job picking them up in the 2nd half of the season. The puzzling part is that TE had better ratings when he was under more pressure. It almost seemed that the more time he had to throw, the more hesitant he became to throw downfield. I hate to even bring this up, but when JP (whose strength is going deep) came in, I didn't see much out of Evans other than 1 (beautiful) bomb that I remember. And Evans was a huge supporter of JP for just that reason, the ability to go deep. But enough of that.... This question will rage on without any definitive answer.
  9. First the serious response: Find out what your local noice ordinance is. If the barking is in violation, call the police. It may be based on distance, time of day or repetition. If the barking is not in violation, or if you want to do this instead of calling the police first, find out the address of the house and send them an anonymous letter. Don't threaten them, just say something like, "We would like to ask you to please be considerate of your neighbors. This is a peaceful neighborhood and we would like to keep it that way. We are pet owners too. Please don't let your dogs disturb your neighbors". Or words to that effect. I've used it and it has worked. I've had to do it again, a month or so later but it has done the job. On to Fun stuff: Get one of those "silent" silent dog whistles. Get up around 3:00 AM and go to it like Clarence Clemmons on angel dust. Do this every night at different times until the owners get tired of having their dog go crackers in the wee hours of the morning. This is good only if the dogs are inside the house at that time. Anyway, good luck.
  10. They may have been open at times, but I didn't see anyone open deep. Just Evans, sandwiched between defenders. I agree that Trent needs to do a better job in finding receivers when they are open and a bona fide pass catching TE would give Edwards a fairly quick check down. Theoretically, ahem.
  11. Unless the Bills get another WR that can pull the double coverage off of Evans, we are never going to find out if Edwards can throw past 15-20 yards. That being said, I think a legitimate pass-catching TE would be a big plus for the offense.
  12. Certainly an old one, which sure dates my keester.
  13. Go into the mouse setup under control panel and make sure "Turn on ClickLock" is unchecked.
  14. That is a pretty scary story. I sincerely hope that you make a complete recovery and live a long and happy life. All the best, amigo.
  15. It pulls in ratings and sponsors for Sci Fi. Everything else is up for debate.
  16. I'm guessing the Bills go somewhere around 5-11 next year, now that the Jets have to put in a new QB along with their new HC. That being said, Jauron's past history of not managing games very well, regardless of the players, puts the Bills in an unenviable spot for next season. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
  17. One that comes to mind is Summertime Blues by Blue Cheer.
  18. I would vote for signing him if he would agree to beat the living crap out of Jauron. I'm kidding. Probably.
  19. Rightly or wrongly, I meant Garrard, On one of the posts in this thread, Garrard was listed as FA. He ain't leavin' Jax unless they pull a fast one and bring in someone to replace him. Don't care for Leftwich, though. He couldn't hold onto the starting job in Jax (Garrard) or Hot'lanta (Joey Effing Harrington ferchrissakes). I'm just going through withdrawal, so don't pay me no nevermind.
  20. In the few chances he got during games, he displayed two very important qualities: Getting open during routes and good hands. Maybe he'll see more time on the field next season. I think he deserves the opportunity.
  21. If one of those guys is enough of a burner to consistantly pull the double coverage off of Evans, then yeah. Otherwise, nah.
  22. I'd love to see the Bills make a play for Garrard although I don't think he would come in as a #2. Good arm, reminds me of Roethlesberger in that he's hard to bring down, can run pretty well with the ball, impeccable character. Hasn't had much to work with in Jax this year. If Garrard did come to Buffalo as a #2 (let's say just for S & G's), and Edwards was out for 2-3 games with an injury, I'm not so sure Trent would automatically get his job back. But.....I think I'm just bored and suffering through NFL withdrawal and starting to hallucinate and it's only February and oh Lawdy Momma.......
  23. As has been pointed out overandoverandover again, every team plays with injuries during the season. It's simply part of the game and every HC has got to be prepared for WHEN they happen, not IF. If you can't do that as a HC, you have no business being in that position. That's your job and your responsibility. Period. Otherwise, be an Assistant or Coordinator where the buck doesn't stop at your desk. That being said, and to his credit, I don't recall Jauron excusing his 3rd consecutive 7-9 Bills season, complete with a 2-8 free fall, on injuries. And it's a foregone conclusion that 7 out of 8 years with a losing record is due to some factor other than injuries as well. Perhaps 8 seasons is just not quite enough time to judge Jauron's coaching ability, but 9 seasons would be right on the money. One thing's for sure................. We're all gonna find out.
  24. I'm with you on Grossman. To me, he's a one-dimensional QB and not a particularly good one at that. The Bills need someone who can A) Be a solid mentor to Edwards, help him identify and eliminate bad habits and techniques and help to improve his playing AND his confidence, and B) Come in whenever necessary and be in sync with the offense. The backup QB, who shall remain nameless lest everybody has a conniption fit, was most definitely not in sync with the offense. I think it's very difficult on the entire offense and coaching staff when the backup quarterback has a significantly different style from the starter. That being said, if Garrard was available, I'd like to see him on the team. Good arm, great character and very difficult to bring down.
